  1. Just to clarify, this whole process means you have to actually RP, and provide IC evidence with time stamps etc, for months with a build up to this point. None of the evidence provided could be deemed as petty. If there is 1 piece of evidence that is deemed petty or poor, it's denied. The application is not just an OOC "I wanna ruin this person's week." It's a "Okay so I've effectively RPd with this person for 4-5 months with only the tension being escalated. I think my character has had enough and been brought to this point of no other options but this..." It will take a LOT of effort and time on the submitter to get the application accepted at all. None of which can be OOCly motivated. Only purely IC.
  2. @Herbo In order to get a CK granted, the submitter would have to have literal months of RP around their target to lead up to the CK. As stated, the requests couldn't just be out of the blue because you don't like someone or for something petty. It would have to not only match your characters story/lifestyle, but also their personality (which would be determined in the months of evidence that would be applied to the application). If the team decides that the evidence is insufficient or it doesn't match the consistency of the submitting character, its denied. This wouldn't be something that you submit after a few days of getting "clapped" at a lab the same person. This would be usable IC evidence to support your characters reasoning for wanting to proceed with this action. If it was just a submit and instant grant no matter what, sure, I would understand your concern with the exp values and time spent. And I wouldn't want that either. However, my suggestion isn't that. It is a drawn out IC RP between one players character and another's. Obviously if you died to the player, NLR kicks in and all that evidence leading to that moment is void, same thing goes if you kill them. The evidence is void. You would have to collect concrete evidence that would justify a murder of another's character. Which isn't easy to obtain. I think there is a misunderstanding of the concept that you may have interpreted wrong, but I assure you, this would not just be a random thing or a simple process. It would have to have an extremely long build up IC between you and another char. And obviously, if this was a factor, so many people would enhance their rp and stick to their character, instead of having the "Clapper" mentality of rolling labs and shooting bodies just because "war" or someone doesn't like another from the opposition. Or someone continously being disrespectful or baiting someone else to hit them first so they get DM rights. Because now, their actions COULD have this as a consequence.
  3. Hello! I am posting this gameplay/roleplay suggestion to possibly decrease the random low-quality rp conflict between players on ECRP. Why do I think this would enhance the level of roleplay on the server? Simple. Over the past 7 years here, I have seen a multitude of different conflicts between Illegal and Legal characters alike, some of which showing poor roleplay behaviors and unrealistic encounters between feuding groups/factions/characters. The reason this would improve the quality of roleplay and encourage proper realistic character play/immersion is that the players would actually be at risk of losing everything they have built based upon their actions, attitudes, and interactions between other players on the server. There have been many times where it seems like a gang war just never ends, and the tensions between the players often lead to a "Report War" on the forums to see who could get the other gangs members banned first to demoralize the opposition. While some may say that is not the case, the past 7 years of gangs and other factions getting into conflict on the player reports tell a different story. The below suggestion and outline would give players a RP reason to possibly end the conflict in a different manner, whilst encouraging good roleplay and proper execution of events, whilst also keeping their own roleplay interactions in check. Because if there was a way to possibly get your character permanently killed due to your continued aggressive actions towards another character or faction, I 100% believe this would not only cut down on the player reports from gang wars and other faction interactions, but also improve the quality of roleplay and player interaction across the board. Below is an outline for a character kill and an example application template to submit. -------------------- What is a Character Kill? This is when your character dies, both voluntarily (suicide) and involuntarily (murder etc.), and you no longer are allowed to use said character. This leaves the character redundant and you cannot return to this character at any point. It is dead. What is a CK application? The application has been created as a final resort/alternative to player kills in circumstances where it is a necessity. It allows one player to apply to the Faction Management team for the right to Character Kill someone else’s character without their permission. It is not something to take lightly and we recommend that you first consider your character continuity and development before submitting a CK application against another player. The application is designed to introduce concerns and reality over a characters actions and the consequences that may follow. While it may be a daunting prospect to have your character taken away for good, this should in turn help you understand the reasons for its introduction and execution. What is a valid CK request reason like? To be accepted, a CK request must first make sense in the server continuity and involved characters' developments. If the event you're applying for a CK request can be solved with a peaceful solution, and it's not a major part of the target's character story or your character story, it will be denied. Examples: -A player is a known scammer and is scamming you for $30 000, it was a one time event and you just lost a trade : this is DM worthy and not CK worthy. -A player is robbing a victim, the victim manages to run away and call the cops while running, the cops arrive and arrest the robber. Submitting a CK appeal on the victim because you were sent to jail, will be denied as this is a direct result of the robber's actions, and it's a common sense response from the victim. -A player joined a faction as outsider with his best friend, becomes associate after a few weeks and fully involve himself in the criminal faction to become a made man. After a few months, his best friend is murdered by the faction leader for an unknown or known reason in front of him, he decides to revenge him. The CK will be denied as killing the faction leader following the death of your best friend makes no sense for your development within this faction and the value of your life as a person. -Two players start a criminal group together, after a few years one decides to betray the other by snitching to the cops about their activities. The CK application would be accepted on the snitch. What happens next? After an application is received, it will be posted for Faction Management members to review. They will look in depth at the reasoning provided and the circumstances surrounding the murderer and his/her victim. If necessary, they will be in touch for further information. Petty reasons should not be accepted, and staff would require thorough evidence of the circumstances leading up the individuals need for death. Failure to provide enough information and supporting evidence will have the application denied immediately. Once a conclusion has been met, staff will tell the requesting party their acceptance or denial. The target will not be informed. When you have carried out the CK, you may /report 1 (or a new /report 5 option) for staff to admin jail their character, inform them via PM, and have the handling admin check with the Faction Management team. ------------------------ Character Kill Application Example Template: Title of Private Message to the Faction Management team: Character Kill Application - Your Character | Target Character Contents of Private Message: Your Characters Name: Your faction affiliation (if any): Who will be performing said CK if accepted: Targets name: Targets faction (if known): Details of circumstances and reasoning: Evidence: Do you understand the fine print? (Y/N): ----‐------------------------- Fine Print: -If you die whilst attempting to carry out the Character Kill on the reported player, you in turn will face a Character Kill - this is non-negotiable. -Failure to properly follow the Character Kill Application process will result in the termination of the Character Kill Application. -Unrealistic actions used to carry out the CK will leave the CK null and void. -Breaking of server rules whilst carrying out the CK will leave the CK null and void. -If you take a group with you to kill the target, you must inform them if they die in the altercation that this too leaves them liable to CK. -Victims may appeal their death via forum post. (Or however the Devs/Staff wish to handle appeals) -(DEV/STAFF Discretion): 1 free name change to a victim OF A CK APPLICATION for their first CK. All other CKs will not receive a free name change. -If a member of Faction Management is involved with the CK, they will not have access to the application. If you’re applying to CK a member of Faction Management, it should be sent to a Senior Admin or higher (or faction management head). --------------------------- Do you think the above suggestion could provide a higher quality of roleplay and interactions between characters? Let me know what you think!
  4. What I have noticed over the past 7 years here is the clash between Heavy RP Gangs/Players and Clapper Gangs/Players. And this isn't just exclusive to Illegal Gangs or Chars, but across the board to all players and factions. I have seen several times where the server had a heavy influx of Heavy RPers join and man...was the RP fun as heck! Immersive, fun, detailed, proper, etc. And then you have those times where there is an influx of people who just want to play GTAO but with some RP mixed in. These groups tend to clash hard as their RP experience level and expectations are complete opposites. It also doesn't help that when the latter influx comes in, people tend to stop playing for RP and start playing for the Ws. (IE Report Wars between gangs). I have always been an advocate for HeavyRP standards, or wanting RP in general, as this is why I joined the server in the first place. But when you get those who just want to win win win? It can really mess with the motivation to play sometimes. I think another issue is that people just burn themselves out on trying to make money by working themselves to death in-game. While I get money is crucial to your survival, you are not limited to just working the scripted jobs to make money. You can most definitely RP and make money at the same time. I have always found a way to kind of incorporate Roleplay into making money from other means, and I find it a good way to kinda shake off that burnout.
  5. Let's also keep in mind that the Devs are people too and have lives as well. Sometimes deadlines get pushed due to personal or life reasons. I also would much rather have an update that deploys with minimal crashes/bugs compared to a rushed one that bricks the server. Patience is a virtue.
  6. Congrats guys! Keep that street racing spirit strong!
  7. Well the drug dealer job spawned a random car that you would use to deliver drugs to doors. So for a script job, I think a script car should be spawned. Unless they would want to make the item created able to be held in inv, then which case, you can use your own car.
  8. If you have any questions about the REAL C.I.T. feel free to PM me. But please do not give this person credit when they have hardly put in the work that I have for C.I.T. Also...why would they want to have a forum post and be KNOWN on the forums...seems a bit...counter productive. They have ALSO been around since 2018. Per this picture. Note the date in the bottom right:
  9. You cant find them, they find you.
  10. Yeahhhh unfortunately, these arent the real CIT...I should know considering I write the roleplay for the REAL ones that are in the city.... Don't take credit when it isn't yours to take... @Itscarstonomg
  11. Exactly. I would prefer a grander scale vehicle like Mule or Phantom. A Scripted Mule would probably be good considering there isnt a scripted vehicle like it yet.
  12. I have always thought that PD just turned on the weather machine and made it rain whenever they got into a high speed pursuit with a HPT. But yes, reduce that...I hate logging in to having it rain for 30 mins straight, stop...and then rain again.

    Racism

Let me rephrase. Any Experienced Roleplayer knows that rule. Blending of the two causes SO many issues it's insane... Just know IC = IC and OOC = OOC
  14. Nubbsauce

    Racism

-1 All of the talk coming out of the characters, is exactly what it is...a character. Also...how do you know they are white OOCly... you could have someone who isnt white, playing a white racist character, and you wouldn't know the difference. And on that note, why not have it not allowed for IRL guys to play IC Girls? Why? Because it's only a character. The #1 Rule for RP ANYWHERE is this: "IC = IC and OOC = OOC" People tend to blur the lines and think that if an IC girl likes them ICly, it also means that they like them oocly. Just like how if someone calls someone else a word ICly, they get offended OOCly. The take away from this is that this is a Game...and and RP server. Everyone is playing a character. It is important to separate IC and OOC at all times when playing. Even though I do not like the N-Word oocly, I do not get offended/triggered by it being said ICly, because it is their CHARACTER saying it through RP.
  15. I do think some rulebreaks should be a prison punishment length. At least for several hours. Non-Rp should be imprisoned as it could lead to them learning how to RP better with other inmates. However, big ones like DM and VDM, for example, should remain ooc bans.
  16. -1 Bikes are naturally faster than cars IRL too...because of their weight. Also, when you crash on a bike at high speeds, you're pretty much 100% injured. SO that's the trade. Being quick and agile, while being extremely vulnerable (Gunshots, Crashing, FearRP) What should be limited are the new Sheriff Vehicles where a 2001 crown vic can go faster than a 300k sports car (250kmh) Also...their granger keeping up with a sports car as well? Yehhhh..... THOSE need the speed nerf.
  17. Details as in what?
  18. There is a reason there are drug sell points in game now...PLAYER interaction with selling drugs was utterly useless and no one wanted to really buy anything. For the starting player, they have NO idea what they want to do. So what do they do? They go to all the job locations and try all of them out and see which one they like. Why? Because every gov job has an XP requirement, official gangs have an XP Requirement. These jobs are in place for those to work them and get that grind started. These jobs are also used as unofficial RP Hubs for everyone. IE The Farms. I do not know how many times I have had RP at the farms from the random people working the fields or talking to other truckers on the radio. All of these jobs are steppingstones to fleshing out what you want your character to be. Let's face it, majority of the people want money. They want nice things, which require money, This job will provide money, whilst providing a risk factor to the job which would ENCOURAGE rp to happen... Look at all the +1s of the people who want it. Why? Ask them. I think having more jobs that have risk factors are awesome. When Drug Dealer was a thing, there was so much RP that could happen. A lot of gangs "Searched" for drug dealer cars to take their cash, which would in fact, start RP. So if you could provide any evidence on how selling drugs or counterfeit money to a player is worthwhile....let me know.. Because that system was already in place, and has been already replaced because it was hardly popular.
  19. -1 I have already seen cops abuse the MDC whilst ON duty. IE: Opening it from the back seat of the cruiser where the criminals sit, to scan plates and scanning plates from an unrealistic distance. If they had the ability to open that whilst in Civilian clothes... it would be ridiculous. Cops IRL don't even have access to a MDC whilst off duty.
  20. No, it would be horrid if it was like drug labs, *See above reply* It would be kinda like the Farming Job and Drug Dealer job in one. Where you create product, store it in the back of the van, and then take it to the drop off with payout being cash. There could be additional drop off points like different Ports and Airfields which would all give different payouts, depending on their distance from the factory.
  21. The only thing I see wrong with having non scripted vehicles is that they would not be able to store the crates by pressing E on the back of them. The way they could make that work would be to make the items created be an actual item and it would have a weight to it. IE: "Crate of Counterfeit Cash - 20kg" and you would be able to pick it up and store it in the vehicle via the storage. Which would honestly be great. However they would then need to create additional items to put at the criminal job like they do for Drug labs. Like there would be a paper stack that "Printing Paper - 2kg" would spawn at. Then there would have to be a shelf where "Printing Ink - 5kg" would spawn. Then the printer itself would have to be the creation table like at the drug labs. IMO that would be super tedious and also, it would make it not as worth while to do as gangs/groups could take control of the factory and just prevent other players from utilizing it. I think it should be left with scripted vehicles like the drug dealer job was, that way, everyone has access to it. It would be a nice introductory criminal job for the new players entering the city who are wanting more risk/reward and not just driving around an armored money truck for hours on end.
  22. Players being able to rob you of your van and turn in the crates themselves is the risk or robbing your afterwards.
  23. Thanks for the support!
  24. Location(s): A warehouse, preferably with an open interior, located in the Industrial District of Los Santos. Dropoff: Sandy Shores Airfield and/or Grapeseed Airstrip. Process: Take paper stacks from a spawn point in the factory, by pressing “E”, to the industrial printer indicated by a marker. Press “E” again to start the printing process. This will be timed by the animation timer. It could take about 20-30 seconds per print. Once the print is done, you take the newly created crate to a Van, similar to the farming van, outside and place it in the back. (The Van can hold 10 Crates) Once the Van is loaded, you then must drive it to either Sandy Shores Airfield, or the Grapeseed Airstrip. (Could do one location or both. Since the Grapeseed one is further, you would get a higher payout, but have a higher risk of getting stopped ONLY IF both locations were to be used.) Once at the location, you would take the crates out of the back, similarly to how you deliver the wheat from farming, press "E" while in the location and receive your pay. Payout: The payout would be up to the discretion of the ECRP Development Team. However, I would suggest that the payout is in CASH and not salary. The reason for this is because since the job is criminal, it would not make sense for the money to be transferred to a bank account. It would also make the job higher risk, if payed in cash, due to the fact that you could get robbed after delivery. Final Thoughts: I think there just needs to be more jobs in the city for everyone to do. While there are jobs to be done in the city, they have been the same jobs for the past 2 years, minus the ones that were added/changed in recent updates. This will also give players, wanting to be a criminal, less inclination to just going around and robbing people all day or stealing their cars. If more criminal jobs like the above were created, it would give the players more to do and more chances to RP/Develop their character the way they want to play. I have more ideas for Criminal Jobs, as well as Civilian Jobs, that I will be suggesting as well. Thanks for taking the time to read my suggestion.
