  1. +1 100 hundo p! Adding an optional parameter to the /dice command seems fairly easy to implement, and would add for a bunch of RP opportunities... ie: /me attempts to punch the man ... /do would be at a disadvantage because I am injured, need to roll above a 10 to succeed, add -2 to my dice roll ... /dice 20
  2. Hey All, One of the biggest issues with realism I've noticed in the server is an overabundance of mid to high-end cars. It feels like everyone and their mother drives a jugular, kamacho, paragon, or BF400. Wondering what you guys would think about severely dropping the price of low-end cars to make it easily accessible for new players, and for people wanting to have "cheap" cars whenever they want. For example, cars like the Warrener, Emperor, Asea, Chino, Ingot, Stanier, Stratum, and Primo would be dropped to sub-5k prices. This would allow new players to have a bit more freedom in what cars they would be able to buy after spending some money on new clothes and taxis. What are your thoughts? Not only on this suggestion but as well with the overabundance of sports and performance cars in the server?
  3. Hey All, What do you think about temporary-death / script-enforced NLR? What I mean by this, is a short period after death that would lock a character from being played. I.E, once killed, you would need to wait 30 minutes before playing on that character again. At the time of death, you would be unable to login/play with that same character until the timer ends (something like a “you are dead, please wait… 27 mins left” would be read on the character selection screen). This would scriptly enforce NLR (no need to pretend to not remember your death/not go back to your place of death). This would also help enforce FearRP in an OOC sense as no player would want to be locked out of playing and would try their best to stay alive. Understanding this is a game, the lines of proper fearRP and OOC desires can get blurred leading to stupid deaths and unneeded killing. For example, dying over 20k worth of drugs because you don’t want to give up 30 mins of grinding. Or, a cop, rushing into a situation unnecessarily because they want to get in a shootout knowing they will spawn back in a with a full kit if they die. I think something like this would compliment roleplay in the sense that we would all need to be a little bit more careful, and truly act in a way that preserves our own life IC, and our desire to play the game OOC. In the case of bugs/glitches, any staff member would be able to revive you/reset timer if needed. Thanks all, NoewUH
  4. Yputi, thank you for this! Makes using the radio much more interesting and I don't need to make radio noises my my mouth anymore! I also created an AHK script that automatically plays the radio sound when talking (the one you mentioned in the last question of your post), anyone can feel free to use it! Start: *XButton1:: ; Replace with whatever key you use for the radio keybind (usually M) send {F9 down} ; replace with whatever key you bound for the "radio start noise" Sleep 20 send {F9 up} ; replace with whatever key you bound for the "radio start noise" KeyWait, XButton1 send {F10 down} ; replace with whatever key you bound for the "radio end noise" Sleep 20 send {F10 up} ; replace with whatever key you bound for the "radio end noise" Return GoTo, Start * To note, if you use the "M" key for your radio keybind, the script will run every time you press M (even when you type it in chat). It was much more helpful for me to rebind my Push to Talk and Radio binds to the buttons on the side of my mouse.
  5. Old post, but I had to come in and thank you Mr. GR_Seb, these filters make the game look AMAZING. Thank you for your guide!
  6. +1 Couldn’t agree with this anymore, love this idea and think it would be a relatively easy change to implement! Only potential issue I could imagine is that we are currently unable to use/hand items to people while driving a car. The devs would either need to fix this, or players would need to step out of the car to hand their license over. Either this, or just have a showID command like others have mentioned.
  7. +1 This type of command would be great. This would allow players to describe situational characteristics about their player without having to spam chat with a "/do" every 5 minutes. I've had experience in roleplaying a child where people would ask "why is that 30 y/o man doing that?" to which I would need to update the obligatory "/do you would see a child in front of you" To anyone that worries the command will be abused: Simply allow players to report them to staff members and have warnings and punishments handed out for non-rp descriptions.

    Mafia RolePlay

A good idea, although it is VERY hard to get started and running. Some things you will need to consider in attempting to roleplay a serious criminal organization may include recruitment, criminal response, and player response. (much more, though these are the most important in my own opinion) In regards to recruitment, you will need to be very strict in who you recruit and who you chose to take care of leadership positions. In having a strict set of standards, you will need to recruit people who will uphold these standards to the same level that you do, without this, your faction will fall into negative light such as other large criminal factions from the past. You will need to find criminals players who wish to move forward in a level of RP similar to the PD and the LSEMS. In regards to criminal response (the most difficult from experience), is how will other criminals view you? It is very hard to roleplay a strict set of standards when other players will simply attempt to take shortcuts and cheap shots to gain an advantage. If you are looking to play with the mindset of complete RP, you will need to realize that you will rarely win situations (physical and RP) scenarios due to opposing players lack of willingness to RP and a lack of attempt to play in the thought of both parties. Many of the criminals in the server do not wish to enforce strict roleplay standards (no foul intent, simply the way things are at the moment) which means you will be "handicapping" yourself when it comes to guns, deals, firefights, etc. In regards to player response, you will need to consider how civilians and blue collar people will see you. A large part of the Mafia's lifestyle is that of bribing officials, stealing through willful handover, and business corruption. Due to rules set in place as to avoid unrealism (completely fine might I add), It will be difficult to attempt to "fear" government workers into handing over assets, accepting bribes, etc. You will also find it difficult to influence business as there are no strong "roleplay businesses" which can be affected externally. In conclusion, running and maintaining a strong criminal faction/organization which restricts its style of RP, gameplay, and OOC attitude can be VERY challenging and difficult if you are not willing to put a lot of time and effort into it. I have attempted starting factions like this in the past, although none of which had been able to reach the level of success I had hoped. If you truly do wish to continue with your idea and attempt to make a strong criminal organization, I would be more than happy to be a part of your faction and assist you. NoewUH
  9. This faction sounds like an awesome idea! I would love to see some serious torture/horror roleplay. Do you guys have any promotional material? (photos, videos, screenshots, etc)
  10. I mean... all lives matter.... can't wait to protest your protest with blue lives matter
  11. -1, If you don't want your engine to stall, drive realistically.
  12. Yes @Daniel_Brown, we are still active within the server
  13. Clothing and apparel is a great thing to have, though ultimately, compared to developing key features and large systems, it has been placed on the back burner. Animations, again, would be great to have a large list of 20+. Although, compared to other things, we already have a decent list and are trying to work on other things. NPC's, I am completely against. Yes, when you watch FiveM roleplay servers and see civilians driving around, it may make the city feel bigger, though it heavily restricts the active players within a community. We would need to cut our playerbase into a quarter, just to have a bunch of brainless NPC's drive around and create the illusion of a populated city. If as stated in your post, that you want more roleplay, why would you not want to naturally populate the city? How could you be against such a basic rule? Do you believe that players should retain all information on death? Should they be able to declare war on a group of people who killed them moments before? If you are looking for a permadeath enforced server, eclipse RP is not the community for you. How so? If you wish to play the server to grind, buy supercars and fancy houses, I feel bad for you. You don't need to grind to create roleplay? Create a racing event, roleplay a yoga instructor and host yoga sessions for 500$ an hour, run a legal team for loan companies, roleplay a lawyer, get a taco truck and roleplay a mexican immigrant... You claim that everything worthwhile in the server is a grind, though no one is forcing you to grind for money. If you want proper roleplay, create it. The point of the police department is not to enforce a criminal v police server. If you are looking to get in gunfights and have an equal chance of winning, play GTA:O and deathmatching servers. If you want to be a criminal, don't be dumb about it. Do your crime in alleyways and in dark neighbourhoods, deal drugs and guns in parts of the cities where cops won't find you. Understand that some situations you will need to accept the fact that officers will win, as they do in real life. If criminals and officers were equal, criminals would spend their time looking for gunfights and police chases. The police are here to scare criminals and keep them on their feet, not to be a direct enemy. As a criminal, your enemies should be other criminals, not a government funded police force. ok, then. So you wouldn't have any issue with a police officer cuffing you, frisking you, and throwing you in a cruiser without any input from you? You would be fine if you were forced to comply regardless if you wanted to resist or not? resistance questions and dice rolls are part of the server to promote roleplay between two parties so that an entire situation is not a few clicks of a button and some probability outcomes. I fully agree with you, text-to-voice roleplay can be difficult. Although, as a community that wishes to assist all member of the rageMP community, we want to allow all types of players to use the server. I agree with you here, the prison was not implemented properly and was missing a lot of the features we planned to include it with. I completely agree that there is little to no roleplay able to be had in an empty prison. I urge you to take a look at FatherOsborn's suggestion, which was made making a large list of suggestions for the prison: Farely strong claims here along with the proceeding paragraph. I do appreciate your concern for the server, though you are going about it in the wrong way. If you want to see change, speak to the playerbase: Instead of creating a post complaining of all the bad things in the server, create a post promoting proper RP and specific mindsets. If you want to see systems and assets included, create a server suggestion and speak to the development team. If you truly want to change the server for the better, I urge you to do it in smarter ways. - NoewUH
  14. Thank you Liebenburg, very cool!
  15. -1, Official factions are to be treated as a full-time job. An active police officer would not have enough time to hop off duty and be a mechanic for a couple of hours.
  16. @MusketDeezNuts Please remove the IC recruitment form that is placed in your faction post. Any form of OOC recruitment is prohibited. All recruitment must be done ICly. - NoewUH (failure to adhere to this request will result in the in the removal of your faction post.)
  17. @Jordan Rodriguez, Please remove the IC recruitment form that is placed in your faction post. All criminal recruitment should be done in-game as the use of criminal forums as IC discussion area are forbidden. - NoewUH (failure to adhere to this request will result in the in the removal of your faction post.)
  18. Hello Gorilaglue420, Unfortunately, the server runs on a modded client called "RageMP" which is only available on PC. You will not be able to play on this server using a PS4. - NoewUH

  20. (best read while listening to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1LUj7_8xiI - along with an Italian accent!) “Friendship is everything. Friendship is more than talent. It is more than the government. It is almost the equal of family." “Never hate your enemies. It affects your judgment.” “I don't trust society to protect us, I have no intention of placing my fate in the hands of men whose only qualification is that they managed to con a block of people to vote for them.” BACKSTORY The Sicilian Syndicate, which began in early 2017 in Northern Los Santos, is a very respectable organization which deals in protection, extortion, and family business. They hold themselves to a very high standard built of morals and customs praised within the Old Country, even if that means stepping over the law. The Sicilian Syndicate originated in Sicily, Italy in the 1950's which were known by many as the "Cosa Nostra" or the "Sicilian Mafia". They offered protection to those within the community which held themselves to the same morals and customs of the family. They became a power which often had control over the police and other opposing forces. In the 1990's, a few of the respected members of the Italian family got involved with the drug and narcotics trade. This, unfortunately, led to the downfall of the family. Many of the remaining senior members were either killed, jailed or fled to bordering countries. One of the most infamous jailings, during the fall of the Italian family, was Vincent Morzano, one of the most respected underboss' in the family. After his false conviction by a corrupt member in the family, he was sentenced to 120 years in a maximum security prison with no option of parole. It was believed that Vincent was the father of two children, who fled to America sometime in the late 1990's ... In 2017, news began to spread around Los Santos that a small group of Italians began to emerge within the city. The group consisted of a few well-dressed men making reference to the old country and their Italian home. RECRUITMENT Recruitment is to be done completely ICly, we will not accept OOC requests to join the faction without a form of IC introduction and induction. It is highly recommended that you create a character which has a form of Italian blood and backstory, to further the RP, though it is not required as exceptions can be made to specific characters. All members of the Sicilian Syndicate will be required to display a strong sense of roleplay and respect of the faction, we will not accept members who have little to no regard of the server rules. If you wish to be inducted into the Italian Family, you must meet with us ICly and state your wishes and concerns. ROLEPLAY Every member of the faction is required to commit to strict roleplay. We will not accept members then often break rules, abuse out-of-character knowledge to win situations, and give little to no respect for the betterment of all involved. If any of this is seen in a member of the faction, they will be removed immediately. We wish to enforce a strict set of guidelines upon players which will mirror that of the LSPD and the LSEMS. My goal with this faction is to bring some fun roleplay to the server. I wish to break some of the stereotypes when it comes to police v criminals and bring back some challenging competition! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I appreciate you taking the time to read over our faction page, feel free to post any Out of Character questions, concerns, or opinions in the comment section below. One more thing... go home and get your f*cking shine box.
  21. This looks like an awesome idea! +1. I took a look at the building and I think it would be an awesome place to place a sheriffs office. For this to be implemented, in my opinion, only a few things need to be added: - A spawn location at the donkey punch farm and the sheriff's office (this would give the players an option to keep paleto bay as their main location of RP) - A small medical building, to be used by the LSEMS faction to which they can bring patients and respawn at. - A spawn marker for faction duty and vehicle spawn. - Sheriffs office to be defined as a salary HQ. If these items were to be included, I'm sure there would be no problem with starting the sheriff's faction. This faction would be an awesome counter to the large number of gunfights and thefts seen at both farms. Awesome suggestion! - NoewUH
  22. -1 I don't feel that the devs should spend time implementing a system like this as it can be easily RP'd. All you need to do is roleplay a proposal, host an event that acts as a wedding and ask a staff member to change your last name within RP. In my opinion, it would be much better to simply have players roleplay this entire event as they would be able to customize it to there liking. With the introduction of more scripts, I feel like roleplay is discouraged due to the lack of ability to perform /me's and /do's. - NoewUH
  23. + 1, Opposite to criminals, police are employed by the city which would purchase and hand out tools used to perform their jobs. This is seen how police officers don't have to purchase their guns, ammo, car repairs, etc. The employer would cover all the work-related costs in the field. - NoewUH
