  1. Dont even know if this is possible in RP as I believe its instanced in GTA Online and don't think I've seen it on an RP server, so if it is impossible then feel free to shut the thread! Would love to see a golf game within the city, I know it can be RP'd with Dice but being able to group and have an instanced game copied from GTA Online would be amazing if possible. Trying to think of a way this can be implemented without an instance is tricky, golf buggies are easy; the only thing I can think of is having a new melee swing (like a golf swing/underarm), and the ball then being hit by the swing (would need a decent hit box that can only be hit by the golf club), the ball is then launched, like throwing a grenade. Unless a UI is added, players can count their own score and putting would need some adjustment to this. I would start with 2x Golf clubs, an Iron and a Putter, and add these to be sold at the golf country club. Being able to go play golf with a group of 4 sounds very appealing personally, golf tournaments and just adding more activities with potential skill levels.

  2. -1 for me personally. I understand the points made but removing /b and /ooc will potentially increase mixing and metagaming as using /pm is firstly (very slightly) more effort and to do it to multiple people is unrealistic. Therefore some players will just use IC comms to talk OOC. (This already happens in private on a very small scale but it will definitely grow with OOC and B removed) As its also been stated above, there are some good uses of /b and /ooc which I feel are necessary to keep RP as fluid as possible in cases where issues may arise.
  3. Bumping this... Went to Cayo today and the whole mansion is still blocked off. At a time like this when the server is struggling, the last thing that needs to happen is more restriction of areas, for a staff faction. I mean if it needs to stay locked off as a staff faction, I would love to know why at least? Just for some understanding as to why its needed. (Can't it just be blocked off during the crim leadership meetings?) I would like to add the suggestion of having some of the apartments and villas within the complex as premium buyable holiday homes, it would create quite a nice community and give it a bit more life, although you do run the risk of taking players away from the main island when the player count is struggling, but might be a nice idea for the future when the player count returns. Adding hunting in Cayo would be a nice addition to add some more life onto the island and give people more of a reason to visit the island and buy property if they were to be available.

  5. So when driving to the Cayo mansion the other day to go hang out, we got to the entrance and found it's been gated off, restricting access completely. I understand this is for the Cartel, but to have such a large area, where multiple people used to go to chill, date or hang out completely shut off, seems a bit excessive to me. We already have the issue where there is not much to do as a Civilian, and this has just removed even more; to accomodate what I am led to believe is a staff faction, and not even on the Faction forums so there is no RP lore to back any of this or any reason to have this gated off completely. It feels like characters who are not in criminal factions and just want to RP are being constantly restricted more and more, and that things like these are to accomodate staff instead of the player base. I am ranting but honestly I was so disappointed to see this area, which I have spent quite a bit of time at, has been completely shut off. I would suggest, if the faction is set on closing off a whole area of the island, for there to be a replacement area where we can go that is similar; because at this point Cayo now only has the beach where you can go to hang out, rendering the island almost useless for the majority of the server.

  7. I’m with Jay on this, more things to do outside of Crim vs LEOs would be amazing. hanging out with a friend and being asked “what do you fancy doing?”, I’m faced with a very small choice. Adding buyable parachutes to base jump, better business infrastructure as outlined in the “civilian super post”, activities for couples and friends that can be done would be great. Sad to see the Cayo mansion has now been gated off and can’t be accessed. One less thing that a couple or group of friends can go do and hang out, when already there is already very little. +Rep to Out of Towners, Plague and all other factions who hold events, as without which, we would be in a very bad state

As someone who was stuck in pillbox during the OFFGRID encounter, who had no involvement in the shootout (wrong place wrong time) and just had to wait until the RP was finished; there were 2 individuals that kept running out to try and loot bodies breaking NLR, they were told multiple times to stay in pillbox which they eventually did when Cup dealt with the situation. The other 2 who ran out, I knew, and two of them were gunned down while trying to loot the bodies (no affiliation to off grid but expected that to happen) after they died they stayed in pillbox. But this is irrelevant to the topic. There is an issue on both sides relating to NonRp and PvP mentality, having been legal most of my RP time for a few years I haven’t wanted to touch crim as I cannot stand the NRP from crims, either picklocking cars during admin events, any events or for the fun of it in busy areas under CCTV (which is completely ridiculous that this is facilitated, we all know who does it), as well as the rule baiting in labs and constant robbing is quite frankly boring. Now I have started playing more crim and when the RP is done properly it’s a lot of fun, some LEOs are amazing and RP with you, offer you the chance to RP resisting and can actually have a laugh. There are a lot of other LEOs that seem to get OOC annoyed and don’t RP at all; not sure what the point of joining an RP server is if you’re not going to RP and just want your ego stroked. But as I said this goes for both sides but at the moment this is pretty abhorrent on the LEO side and is a big reason why people are leaving the server. Only last week a cop arrested my friend and started gloating about it OOCly that they couldn’t evade, only there to win not to RP. Have had the same with Shadows before, we all woke up in pillbox and this individual is straight in OOC chat boasting about how they had fewer numbers and still did well. A recent example, I’m being told to leave the area by a cop, I refuse, he has every right to detain me or point a weapon at me and shoot me if I carry on refusing; instead, another cop who seems to be in a bad mood with no intention of RP, rams my vehicle to perma stall it 3 times and at this point I’m not even detained or arrested. Complete win mentality from this cop and a big problem. And to repeat what Earl said, IA reports do nothing, JB is pointless and reports do not solve the issue. The issue comes from the top, it’s a big issue when senior LEOs and the deputy chief of police refuse to roleplay. But I will reiterate, the issue of NRP is on both sides but at the moment some LEOs and crims need to do much better.

  10. The safe code was only meant as a short term fix until an actual solution is implemented but I see your point, in reality it would require staff to be unlocking safes all the time. I like the idea of an impound system for belongings! Semi auto is definitely the way to go because, if the chance is there for RP, then I would always rather that!!
  11. Huge +1 I have seen a similar 'businesses open' menu system before and it works amazingly! Really opens up player owned businesses within the city and creates amazing immersion for both business owners and customers.
  12. This is one of the most frustrating issues on the server I have experienced so far during criminal RP. Issue When players get arrested they will have their belongings taken from them and the LEO will take the belongings to DOC and if a warden is clocked on they should leave the items in a DOC locker for the prisoner to get their items back after their time has finished. Instead... What happens far too often is one of several things: LEO's will take the belongings to PD or SD stations (Sandy or Paleto) LEO's will leave the belongings in their vehicle and go off duty causing the items to completely disappear (A new one for today I witnessed) The LEO will leave the items in the vehicle being impounded and suspend your licences meaning you cannot get your items back for some time. LEO's will leave the items in DOC (as they should) but then sometimes there are no DOC to pass the items back (This isn't so much an issue as it is an activity thing and DOC can't expect to be manned at all times.) The biggest issue I have with all of this is, you get released from DOC, you have no vehicle, GPS, radio or items and if you are a New Player, then you have no friends to pick you up or any knowledge of what to do. If you even have any money, you then have to wait a while for a taxi or have to grab a CityBee if there are no taxis clocked on and start hunting for your items. Hopefully by the end of this long search you don't find out you now have to do an IA report to try and get reimbursed for the lost items (with no proof) that disappeared in the faction vehicle. Assuming most players have given up by this point and New Players have already left the server. Solution A short term solution could be locked safes with the prisoner being given the safe code with their belongings in to take. The next arrest, an LEO would set a new code and vice versa... this would require manage perms for LEO's unless a faction perm could be added for locked safes. A long term solution would be more automation for belongings, either when arrested or having a locker assigned to a prisoner ID that an LEO can deposit the items into, and scriptly, only the associated prisoner or a DOC/LEO member can access these. Open to more suggestions as I know I am not the only one who has experienced this issue and it is quite frustrating as well as a massive waste of everyones time as other LEO's then have to join in the hunt of looking for other players' belongings. Don't really feel the GPS needs to be taken from a player during an arrest or at any time as it can't be used for anything and doesn't make much RP sense to take it.

  16. There is already a similar post to this but it refers to everyone having access to City Bees whereas this is only aimed at New Players. The issue I have noticed is newer players who join the server need transport before they get their first vehicle, they start with $10k which is enough to get a taxi or bus but if this is spent poorly due to learning or mistakes then they have to run or just give up. The idea would be to just allow players with the ((NEW PLAYER)) tag to access City Bees at all times, or potentially depending on how much funds they have in their bank? I don't feel new characters' owned by experienced players need this implementation but I think it would help New players and it's not for long. I do agree with points that not allowing it does ecourage newer players to RP and socialise and there are pros and cons to either side. Feel free to post your thoughts below!
  17. I +1 this but actually only for Players with the [NEW PLAYER] tag; I see a lot of new players having to walk because they can't afford a taxi or cant afford a repair. Feel for them it would be good until they get funds to afford a taxi or mechanic services, especially when they're learning the game and server Nevermind the New Player thing is already implemented -1

Hi All, Pretty simple one, but I do think it would be nice to add the Bar Licence for Attorney's and Ex-Attorney's, or any character that takes and passes the bar exam (which is not short or easy), under the "/licences" list. It is a licence and can be revoked and think it would make it easier to be a civilian contractor or self-employed and be able to prove you can in fact provide legal advice. Let me know your thoughts! When the fuel arrives from the import it shows a message stating that I have bought 'x' fuel for what would be 10$ per litre as it should be but I am still charged the $20 from the initial order. Expected behavior: When I purchase fuel I should be able to do $10 for every litre, so putting in 100litres for $1000 instead of 100litres for $2000 Evidence (MUST provide either UNEDITED photo or video) , notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate:
