  3. +1 Some great suggestions! The uber job sounds amazing too and the vehicle damage is definitely an issue! Anything over 25% tax is too much for sure, although this won’t change due to it potentially affecting the VIP revenue (Where the focus is). (DISCLAIMER: just to clarify in this section; I am in no way am I putting across a negative opinion or criticising in any way. Please don’t ban me) With the vehicle inventory space, I definitely agree with the concept. Amazing suggestion that I would love to see fed back to the devs!

  6. Maybe it's my assumption from what I've experienced and confusion from the below; The above is whats stated in the guidelines, but in my personal experience I have not found this to be the case unless it's reviewed before the staff has given their reasoning. But unless im perceiving it wrong, I would expect two responses, one from the issuer explaining their reasoning as stated, and then a second response from the more senior staff giving the verdict. I have not seen this happen personally although I have not been game banned. I understand that discussions would take place in the background but I think communication would help resolve issues as it comes across like the issuer has given the verdict. Happy for this to be closed if I have gotten this completely wrong!
  7. So pretty simple suggestion as stated in the title, basically as it stands now; a ban is issued, the appeal goes through but it's the issuer of the ban that responds and makes the decision. Whereas it should be a non-bias party that makes the decision and reviews the evidence. I get in some instances there will be some discussion in the background with regards to this with the staff team, but I know of some instances where this hasn't happened. Having the same person look at the appeal and evidence is like going to court and having the police officer that arrested you acting as the judge.... It allows bias, which I have seen massively with a couple of senior staff, and turning over a ban is them essentially admitting they're wrong, which I know a small minority will not do. I am very aware all game bans happen for good reason. If I am mistaken in any of this, then please, some clarity and communication would go a long way!
  8. +1 - My main reason for supporting this is for the in game economy, too much money is just spawned in and handed out, ruining the economy. Need to encourage people to spend more money, but the end goal of saving up is also nice!
  9. +1 makes sense to me
  10. Unfortunately I do not believe I fall into this category and yet was timed out regardless for one comment. My post was not disrespectful nor was it spam, memes, shitposting, inciting violence/hate, rage-baiting or even anger/frustration that required a cool-down. In all fairness my comment was not constructive, but that is not a requirement for messaging in #general in Discord. At the very least, when appealed this should be taken into account. I understand it turned into spam and shitposting and these are the ones that should have been moderated, but there are definitely better ways of dealing with the situation than mass random bans and timeouts. Which leads me back to my point that when giving timeouts, they need to be for valid reasons; unless its a cool down timeout which should be for an hour as a warning. It is definitely not right to punish others for doing nothing wrong, and then punishing people differently based on their gender and factions they're part of is even worse. I do however understand the point that it was a hectic situation that got out of hand from a moderating point of view, but once the situation has been resolved, remove the week-long timeout or reduce it to an hour (really doesn't need to be a week, thats crazy), where you can't even post crash reports. And if the situation is as bad as it was on the weekend, then open up a two-way discussion or an anonymous complaints area to try and calm the issue. Mass banning and timing out will make people more frustrated and you wont attract new players or retain old players. I currently have no desire to RP in the server at the moment at all from this situation and it's a shame because I really do love this server. Just to say, this is exactly what happened and made the situation 10x worse. Personally I understand your point of view with new players, but you're not looking at the source of the issue, covering it up is no way near a solution to the issue that was being discussed at the time. New players are retained in the game with a happy community and positive, good quality RP, not with a player base that has been rendered unhappy by a high level member of staff. Facilitating discussion after noticing it and calming the situation down correctly would have been a far better course of action. Obviously I agree with timing out and banning actual rule breaks regardless of it being in the server or on the Discord. I have said what I feel needs to be said on my side so I will suspend my replies moving forward to allow others to constructively put suggestions forward.
  11. To expand on this, I think simple communication would go a long way. To give an example; your response on the racing script changes was a first and amazing, everyone knew what was being suggested to the devs and noone felt ignored. I think on every other suggestion, people feel ignored because we don't know what gets passed on to Devs and when nothing comes of it, we get disheartened and give up. Back to the point at hand; I think the issue with this specific situation is that people got timed out for things that were not in the rules. If you time out people for negative opinions, then have a rule that states 'no negative opinions'; otherwise, as Bala posted originally, how are we supposed to learn from our mistakes? How are we supposed to prevent getting timed out when its random depending on who disagrees with you. I think 7 day timeouts are too much for 'cooling down', a couple of hours or even an hour maybe would be good. Anything longer would be for actual rule breaks in the Discord Server. I agree with the names part and when you appeal you find out who it is anyway later on; but you should definitely be given a reason as to why you were timed out or banned in the first place. Also I feel the appeals should not be handled by the banning party, but their superior. There has been a visible and obvious bias here and a conflict of interest that has been facilitated.
  12. +1 I was also timed out, given no reason and had said nothing offensive, only a negative opinion about the newest update. I know who timed me out but the appeal was swiftly denied. I feel we should only be timed out for the rules listed above. I was not spamming my opinion nor did I say anything offensive. Being able to know the reason for a timeout would definitely help in not making the same mistake as the only other alternative I have now is to not interact at all.
  13. +1 I think we should always be promoting good RP, it’s definitely becoming less common in the server. My ideal system would be as follows; your sentence has run out in DOC, and you need to physically make your way to the exit through a marker teleport or by using a command. Thus people can RP in DOC to their hearts content OR wait for a guard while RPing with others, so they can collect their stuff. Waiting in the waiting room by yourself isn’t fun. Pretty sure on my crim I have about 3 months worth of inventory in the locker! Adding a command to initiate the release would be extremely quick and easy to implement
  14. Welcome! Hope you have fun!
  15. I disagree with the statement, as a crim/civ RPer, I’ve noticed huge changes with regards to RP from LEOs over the past month. There will always be some bad eggs but that’s pretty realistic, so as long as it’s a very small fraction it’s not an issue in my personal opinion. Chases now go on for longer, there’s less ‘immediate perma’ or ‘knocking out’ tactics which is what we all wanted. There will always be improvements to be made, and this goes for all factions and crims as well but I think this is a hell of a good start!
  16. So slight misunderstanding and I apoligise, basically the gates were bugged. Have been about 4 or 5 times over the past couple of months and couldnt move the gates, went today to check and still couldnt open them, clicked to unlock the gates and got the error, as I dont have access, but then they unlocked, so thats unfortunate. This can be archived! Still like the villa apartments suggestion though!
  17. Just to bump this a little and instead of making a new suggestion, I really feel the 'businesses open' part should be implemented ASAP. Having a system where someone can open their cafe/bar/restaurant or any business with UI or a command; set it as open and have players see this on another UI or phone and be able to stop in at their leisure, firstly increases player interactions, but has so many benefits to the server and RP quality. It will make the city feel so alive and quite honestly this is really needed. Tunnel visioning on LEO/Crims might seem like the best route but this only turns the server into a cop/crim server, which honestly, I think it is now. Hopefully some of the new dev updates will help rectify this but without proper Civilian infrastructure in place, we are reducing the targeted audience drastically. As much as I'd love to have a bar or night club, it would only get used for events once every other week as there is no facilitation to have anything else.
  18. With a change in Cartel leadership will this be addressed or at least responded to please? Would love a response or justification as to why the cartel needs 3 locations, restricting CIV and locations where players can go.
  19. Oh yea feedback is always going to be like that, it’s good to hear there are things in the first category, there’s never going to be everything in the first category and communication and compromise on both sides is always the way to go! Appreciate the feedback, makes giving the initial feedback worthwhile in my opinion. And just an FYI I don’t believe LEOs are the problem, I think there a collective of issues that includes LEOs, crims and RP standards across some players amongst other issues as well as a lack of RP outside of the cop/crim environment. Not sure how we tackle the crim side of things, the difference is there are a lot of crim factions that play out very differently, so I think these would need to be evaluated per faction. Maybe RP feedback to the faction leaders somewhere so it can be constructively passed down and communicated, not too sure but something along these lines of RP feedback. Potentially an RP feedback section on the government part of the Gov site for all players and civilians, positive and negative, and whoever reviews it can then contact the relevant faction if applicable. May be an unrealistic suggestion though
  20. @Bala Will there be some feedback on what was suggested? This may already be in place or planned but would be nice to know, as someone who contributed to the feedback, as well as be able to pass on to others who are also concerned; Although the feedback was only provided recently, I've only heard rumours, which we all know can do more damage than good sometimes!
  21. I want to say, the past week, I have had a couple of really positive RP interactions with LSPD... it was the same officers both times (Rondal Olsson and others, wish I had the POVs) and even had great RP interactions with Alex, the warden in DOC. The RP situations were really good, for both sides (I hope) and this should be the standard across the board for cops and crims, as it gives myself a slither of hope that there are LEO's who have a very good standard of RP and don't have the W mentality which has been commonly seen in the past. The thing I would like to see is an archive section on the Gov website for the IA complaints. The Roleplay feedback has this so I don't see why the IA complaints can't have an OOC archive so people can see complaints and believe that these are being acted upon. For example, there was a clip posted in Discord and on the forums last week of someone getting rammed and beaten unconscious straight away, and it would be nice to see that this was dealt with appropriately and give confidence back to the player base that the issues people are experiencing is being worked on (hoping it was IA reported). But I have put in an OOC IA report that included RP feedback and just got an IC response stating that the officer worked within guidelines; there was no review of the guidelines and it got shut down and I had situations just as bad after, which at that point I gave up, almost left the server and decided I will have minimum interaction with cops who are like that. I will just say for context and this is just an opinion, I dont blame LEOs for all of the issues (although, depending on the LEO, I wont interact with GND as there is a big W mentality problem; but if they RP with me I will RP back as thats all im there to do. I have no issue with going to DOC or losing if the RP is good). There are a multitude of issues, crims are also an issue as is the lack of development for Civilian RP, which leans the server more and more towards a cop/crim server, hence why Cop and Crim RP becomes SUCH a big issue, because this is the majority of the servers' RP at its current state.
  22. Introduction Just thinking about activities that could be realistically implemented within the city and Diving came to mind. Not only does this give boats more of a purpose but could add an activity for both Crims and Civilians. The equipment is already in the game its just adding the mechanics to add Oxygen or health depleting when Oxygen in the tank runs out as well as swimming faster with flippers. Having a diving qualification would also be quite cool but not so necessary. Fish Species Finder An encyclopedia to identify species of fish. A little like Pokemon in a sense, the player dives and swims looking for fish they havent found yet, taking a picture of the fish would then add it to the aquatic encyclopedia providing exp and potentially a financial reward from a vendor on the pier. I am aware that this is a closed end idea, where the player will eventualy have no more species to identify, which leads me onto my next idea. Aquatic Hunting A little like hunting in general, this would be for larger fish, such as different species of shark, harpoonable fish essentially. There could be illegal types of fish to hunt too which would then add a criminal mix within the activity. The hunted fish would then be sold the same as hunting animals are sold. Underwater Caches Similar to Archaelogy I guess but maybe picklocking chests instead of scanning an area? The chest could glisten on the ocean bed and then the player has to lockpick the chest. Could add different difficulites which are easier or harder dependant on the players level and the loot inside would be adjusted accordingly. Any other ideas would be awesome to hear! Definitely room for change and improvement within this idea!
