  1. I think open and public discourse is the real way to implement change
  2. Yes, tasers are too powerful and heavily abused by LEO factions, and I predict as a result they’ll be heavily nerfed soon. the amount of times I’ve had cops tase my tires out or tase me through my windshield is insane also completely ruins any kind of foot pursuit as they shoot a magic electric ball at you from any range that’ll automatically put you on the ground where they can insta- cuff you with no RP
  3. +1 Recently just started getting a solid 300fps and I’m noticeably WAY faster in the same cars. I’m tired of having to demoralize PD every day and drive laps around them I think the FPS cap is a good idea, it’ll show us who can actually drive and who can’t
  4. I’ve personally tested this “urban myth” multiple times and it’s true. I’m surprised that a member of LEO like yourself hasn’t noticed that certain criminals and cops perform differently in the same cars, like how certain cops can get a steady 240kmph in a Buffalo and others can’t. you should try to be more observant
  5. 100% agree jay, nice to see some brains on this thread
  6. LOW IQ take… I’m all for MD and DOC, just against being shot 20 by police because they know they can just /Stabalize
  7. Maybe a 10% less survival chance for every bullet you’re hit with, taking away the /Stabilize command. Explosion while inside car should be 0% survivability, pump shotgun as close range should be 50% survivability, etc. it’d be up to the developers but I’m sure we could come up with a decent mechanism
  8. “There are no real consequences to dying” it’s the same consequences, minus having to tab out AFK for an hour in DOC. And it’s still more consequences than a cop would have dying, as they lose actually nothing. since we’ve seen a noticeable decline of crims playing this server, maybe LESS consequences is the route to go, as a death would get them back into the game faster. it seems you want to punish people OOCly because that’s all DOC is, (Tab out and Netflix) or just log off. this would make LEOs like your character want to de escalate situations like real police officers (as least amount of force as possible) so you can secure the arrest and not end up with a dead body.
  9. Before I start this thread, I know death RP is not a thing, but death is scriptly in the game, and I think script should be written to introduce death from wounds, especially multiple gunshots, even if treated by EMS. For example, if a police officer unloads a magazine from a rifle into someone, they should have a very low chance of surviving that incident. I know the police officers won’t get the satisfaction of gunning someone down AND being able to arrest them afterwards, but I do believe it would add a layer of realism and potentially make the LEO factions less trigger happy, and they’d have to answer to their superiors about why a subject was killed. I have a character that was unloaded on by an officer today while he was handcuffed, the officer shot him 20ish times with a service carbine (.556). Being shot 20 times with a .556 is not a survivable event. As a former IRL paramedic, I’ve always found it ridiculous that you can be blown up in your car, riddled with bullets, and after 1 command (/stabilize) or 30 seconds of RP with an ambulance worker and you’re good as new. this will also curb the problem with police being shot by gangs, being rushed to the hospital, and 3 seconds later being able to come back and continue the same fight. The last paragraph also applies to gang shootouts, instead of them being able to be shot at a lab with heavy rifle ammo, rushed to the hospital by their fellow gang members, instantly stabilized, and returning to the fight, they should be dead and NLRd do to their severe wounds. I think a big reason we have so much brutal tactics from the LEO factions is because they have zero fear of accidentally killing you, they know they can ram your car until it blows up with you inside of it, riddle you with bullets, etc, and still be able to arrest you. I think this change would make both crim and LEO factions less trigger happy, and have more fear for their lives when engaging in dangerous activity.
  10. Horrible idea by someone who obviously doesn’t play crim and has no idea how guns work IRL. not sure if your post is ragebait, but if it’s not, I feel sorry for you. I don’t even know who wrote this, but I can GUARANTEE it’s a cop who loses a lot of gunfights
  11. I think there should be more city bee spawn locations and they should always be accessible, whether a taxi driver is logged in or not. I’m not sure if the Taxi drivers are the biggest salary farmers on the server, or if they just ignore calls, but the amount of times I’ve needed to get somewhere and can’t because I’m unable to rent a city bee is ridiculous. So you call a taxi, and even though there’s a driver online, you’ll sit there for 15 minutes without the driver accepting it and just end up walking. I understand the idea of wanting us to utilize taxi drivers for the RP opportunities, but unfortunately the taxi company is too unreliable to keep up with the demand and forces players to walk as they can’t rent city bees
  12. - I think making City Parking a NCZ would be beneficial, as it would prompt people to hang out there and socialize, and meet other people. Also would stop random people from opening your trunk every time you unlock your car to get in it, and cut down on the 5-10 shootings a day there. - More government hosted events. Rally car races, fight nights, speed dating, etc. something that gets people to show up and interact with each other. - Give crims more to do to make money than cooking in labs, honestly cooking heroin being the most lucrative thing for crims to do is gross IMO. Increase payouts for non PVP crim activities like chopping cars, robbing stores, pulling ATMs etc. - Minigames would be cool, not sure about RAGE compatibility but being able to play golf at the course, or arm wresting, etc would be fun and interactive. - Add events that force LEO and crims to socialize and get to know each other outside of investigations. LEO vs CRIM fight nights would be awesome, and a good way to let out steam.
  13. Name: Robert McCabe Date of Birth: March 17, 1937 Place of Birth: Billings, Montana Current Residence: Los Santos ⸻ Character Story: Robert McCabe grew up tough on the windswept plains of Montana. The son of a cattle rancher and a schoolteacher, Robert learned discipline, hard work, and loyalty from an early age. At 18, with the world on edge, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. Fate and duty carried him into the chaos of the Vietnam War, where he served as a combat medic. There, amid the horrors of war, he met Joey Weiner, a brash but loyal fellow soldier who would become his lifelong friend. The two shared the kind of bond only men who’ve survived the unimaginable can understand. The war never really ended for Robert. He returned home with the visible scars of shrapnel and the invisible torment of PTSD. Despite this, Robert tried to rebuild a normal life. He trained as an electrician and became known around Los Santos County as a dependable, if gruff, tradesman. His small home in Paleto Bay, shared with his beloved wife MaryBeth, was a safe haven from the nightmares of his past. But everything changed in 2014. MaryBeth vanished without a trace. No body, no evidence, just rumors. Locals whispered that Robert had finally snapped, that MaryBeth’s final resting place was somewhere beneath the towering redwoods of Paleto Bay. The police never charged him, but suspicion followed him like a shadow. Now in his late 80s, frail but stubborn, Robert finds himself caught between survival and morality. The world has changed. The cost of living in Los Santos is brutal, and his pension barely covers utilities. His age and mental scars have left him unable to hold steady work. With mounting bills and no legal way out, Robert has turned to crime—not out of greed, but desperation. Smuggling, small-time arms deals, black market electrical work for gangs—he does what he must to stay afloat. His knowledge of wires, alarms, and security systems has made him an unlikely but valuable asset in the criminal underworld. Despite his criminal activities, Robert lives by a strict personal code: protect the weak, never betray a friend, and never harm the innocent. Joey Weiner remains his trusted partner, watching his back on the rare occasions Robert ventures into Los Santos itself. Robert McCabe is a relic of a bygone era: hard as nails, full of regrets, and driven by survival. Some see him as a dangerous old man. Others see a war hero fallen on hard times. Robert doesn’t care what they think. He knows one thing for sure—he’s not done yet.
