Hey, Right now, we have Scriptly supported cameras that you can buy at furniture stores. They work properly, you can place them, cut the wires, check footage, and so on. The issue is with the default GTA 5 map cameras. These are the ones already placed in stores or around the city. You cannot scriptly interact with them at all, but they are still being used as in-character evidence. Example: You walk into a store, cut the wires on the script camera, and rob the place. Police show up, see the wires were cut, but then say there is also a GTA default camera in the store and use that to pull footage. You had no way to scriptly disable it or interact with it, but it still gets used against you. That does not make sense. I understand why this was the system before. When script cameras did not exist, it made sense to rely on the map props. Same with bodycams, since those do not have script support yet. But now that we have working and interactive cameras, it feels strange that every default camera on the map still counts as active and usable. If script cameras are the only ones players can interact with, then they should be the only ones that are valid for in-character evidence. I understand the fact that you can simply RP breaking them. But it does not make sense to have a script to support cameras, and still expect players to RPly brake all non-script cameras around the area. Yes this is a cope post.

Vehicle despawns after a while if the owner is offline

You appear to not have read my message. As i stated "Jug could not keep up even almost due to the sharp turn and fast acceleration the THRAX could do.". Additionally, i supported your claim saying that the top speed of the vehicles are nothing amazing. But that does not matter when it comes to city chases. The super cars as far as ive seen are like better LC's, amazing handling, amazing acceleration but medium top speed. On a highway and a straight, 100% a Jug could probably keep up and so could AIR. But being able to take such quick turns and speed up to 150+ in just a few seconds is where it outshines every single vehicle owned by PD massively.
-
All of the super vehicles might not have had a crazy top speed, but they for sure handle and accelerate better than what any of PDs cars can do. We had a chase against a THRAX yesterday as PD. We had AIR and a Jug, but the Jug could not keep up even almost due to the sharp turn and fast acceleration the THRAX could do. This vehicle ended up evading like 7 times and was never caught. The massive influx of super and sports cars have made it so LEO lose a solid 75% of chases, seeing the normal officer only has access to the buffalo STX as their fastest vehicle. And if you arent rocking 600 FPS, you are not catching up any time soon.

Well the issue with this is the people we taze. Even if we taze someone like 5+ times, they will still continue to run away like nothing happened. Changing the tazer would only increase the amount of times you get beaten to death by LEO's which people would probably complain about even more.

hell no, i am NOT sharing my screen to anyone lmao. And especially not pressing a link that a GTA staff member tells me to press that "scans" my PC.

Hopefully this can reignite the idea

Greetings everyone, this suggestion is relatively straight forward. Currently LSPD and LSSD usually use the same type of vehicles at all times. Its the Scout or Buffalo, with exceptions to some divisional vehicles. Now while this is fine, and those vehicles absolutely do not need a buff. What i wish with this suggestion, is to slightly buff the rest of the PD / SD vehicles. I cannot speak on behalf of SD, however in PD we have the following vehicles available to anyone that is PO1 and above. VAPID POLICE STANIER LE CRUISER VAPID POLICE CRUISER POLICE BUFFALO POLICE BUFFALO STX POLICE INTERCEPTOR POLICE SCOUT POLICE ALAMO DORADO CRUISER GREENWOOD CRUISER IMPALER LX CRUISER IMPALER SZ CRUISER Now this is a whole lot of vehicles, but the issue is the fact that only about 3 of these are viable to use. The Buffalo STX, VAPID POLICE STANIER LE CRUISER and the SCOUT. The rest of the vehicles will almost always lose pursuits. What id want, is to buff the vehicles that are unable to viably be used in day to day operations for police officers. This will bring so much more variety to vehicles in PD, and instead of only seeing 3 cars at all times you will see a whole fleet of different vehicles.

I would love for the removal of all MK2 weapons tbh, some of them are rather busted. Crim AP should be max 100 and PD max 125 - 150 for SWAT and 75 or less for normal units.. That in my eyes would be balanced. More activities for crims to do would be lovely, idk what that would be specifically but something other than cooking drugs or robbing stores would be neat.

guys hear me out, make the pager system only page people who are actually IN-GAME and not in discord!

All there is to do in DOC is gather laundry, mine, gather litter and the occasional RP that happens. This is why people AFK, cause when there is 5 people all doing the only 3 things you can do, it turns very boring very quick, If you manage to get a sentence thats closer to 3 hours that simply becomes painful at that point. People play video games for enjoyment, DOC is not enjoyable at the current state especially not for 3 hours.

I do think its a bit unfair for the largest factions on the server, being SD and PD. To also have access to a "pager" in which they can OOCly tell people to log on the server to fight. While crims are not allowed to do this as it falls under "metagaming".

Its so cringe that men act in a way that there even needs to be a rule. So childish its crazy

A Call for Balance: Addressing LEO Overreach and RP Disparities on ECRP

Ive been a criminal for a while not, definitely not a long as others not even close but for a while. I have also been a part of various legal jobs such as PD, LSEMS, DOC etc. The only issue i can actually see is the usage of Assault Rifles. Most Detectives and other PO3+ ranks (i think those are the ranks at least) always patrol with an assault rifle on their back 24/7, regardless if they are doing a simple traffic stop or going into a dangerous situation. Same thing with lower ranked people PO2, PO3 within PD, they always have a shotgun on their back regardless of what they are doing. I have no clue regarding SD as i have never been a part of that faction, but this is the only issue i have seen with PD as of recently. People mention the over-usage of high-speeds and AIR. But to be honest, they are only ever deployed against other high-speed vehicles, same for PD bikes. This is like the 20000th post complaining about PD / SD, and it literally just says the exact same thing. OP this, OP that. But you have to kinda see it from a logical point as well. If PD was any weaker, criminals would just be having it way easier, which would just ruin the fun for others who arent criminals. -
Ways to increase player count in ECRP

I very much agree with this, these weapons for crims cost several tens of thousands to be able to import. Then you have to mod them and buy ammo for them. And if you die?, you have to buy a new one. Something that annoys me rather a lot, is how cops always 24/7 carry a heavy on their back. I saw a Sheriff step out of a car, and whoops they had a MG MK2 on their back. In my opinion, heavy weapons should only be able to be taken from the trunk of a vehicle. Some weapons like a SMG or a MK1 Pump can be taken from the rack near the driver seat, but realistically. You wouldnt be driving around with a MG MK2 on your back as a cop right? Not to mention the fact that 175% AP armor is incredibly expensive as well. If im gonna be honest, i dont even know myself if you can import armor over 100% AP. And the 100% AP already costs 20k to import, and cops can simply: Get shot enough to have the entire armor get broken /fl and grab a new one within 2 seconds from any nearby cruiser. -

In my opinion the only things i really see that would be cool are, add minigames, make leo's lootable and adding things to do in prison. But the rest is just like useless tbh. Loosening up the rules would be very bad, would make the random shootouts even more common than they already are. I have played a few RP servers, FiveM and then Eclipse. All FiveM servers ive ever played have been absolute dogshit, and this suggestion seems to want to get closer and closer to it. Eclipse imo is very good as it is, new features get released, rules are well made to be able to protect all sides of the playerbase whether you want to be a crim or a cab driver. Sure, some rules are a bit.. confusing? but in general it is always fine. -
Yes!!, I can call my buddies and say that the freq is comped without having to wait 5 hours to get out of jail.

To be honest, i can see this as well. In the few amount of fights ive been in, it does appear that cops more act like a gang with legal rights to be in fights. Now this is not all police, but quite a few appear to minimally care about RP and more just want to shoot.
