This. The alias system is absolute garbage, shouldn't exist, and is really proof of the server's non-serious roleplay. I'm fine with IDs showing, because it's needed for reports. But as you said, if you RP with somebody enough, you will be able to recognize them. -
Not to be the bearer of bad news, but the roleplay here is not that hardcore or serious at all. But best to find it out yourself, I suppose.

Might not be their primary income, but they sure are making tons of money from it. Think you forget the amount of 50000 credit cars that get bought during each credit sale. And how many people buy VIP monthly.

I do think there are plenty of good ideas in this thread, but I do think the following are not the most optimal. Adding NPC interactions for jobs is, in my opinion, bad. Examples are the following: DCC suffers from a lack of activity and requests for calls, so by server generating calls for NPC fares we can substitute the amount of activity they should have. Allow for a "bank security guard" NPC to be taken hostage (in the hostage animation) to avoid those fucking awkward situations where people take their friends or another player hostage then we have to worry about the complexities of whether or not a player can be killed or not. Add server spawned NPC bodies and server created dead body calls every so often to supplement the amount of calls that MD have to respond to, to encourage their activity. Personally, I believe the above-mentioned would be bad implementations, and we should attempt to focus on ways of increasing player v player RP interactions instead of adding NPC ones. The tunnel access and roof access sections of the improvements to the banks sound like a disaster. I do agree on changing how banks are done, there are many great examples of bank robberies done on other RP servers that I believe this server could look for inspiration from. Changing the speed cap to 220 would, in my opinion, be a good change. I'm aware most people will argue about it being too slow, or that the change will render plenty of vehicles "useless". But it will also do the opposite. It would revive so many "non meta" cars, as you no longer only buy cars based on their ability to go 240. I do, however, see the issue with some supercars and sports cars that can go 240 currently. Some cars have a good top speed, but bad acceleration, and with the change of 220 max speed, it would make them rather useless.

I'm pretty sure this isn't how the system works. When the staff members get tagged in the appeal, they respond with their "point of view". But I do believe higher-ranking members of staff are the ones actually handling the result, as otherwise it would be incredibly stupid to have the issuer handle the appeal themselves.

Doesnt always have to be completely realistic like irl. Just allow people to pay a certain amount of money to have someone get out of prison, that simple.

People will complain and say that "Prison used to be so much worse, you used to spend 12 hours bla bla bla". But in reality, 1 hour is fine imo. The issue with that, however, is the fact that pleading guilty and the new completely fair royal VIP for only 50 euros a month reduces your prison times by what, over 40%?. So if the max time was an hour, it would end up being barely half an hour in reality. For people with these benefits, a 2-hour sentence already goes to about an hour, and a 3-hour sentence not even two. With the bail type system, that would be cool. But it shouldnt be added on top of a reduction in max DOC times.

Who is the suggestion for? This is for all players and the Staff Team. It helps anyone involved in a forum report where a staff member is involved as either the reported or reporting party. Why is the suggestion being made? Right now staff often keep their video private if it shows "Staff Chat" Only providing it to the staff member who is handling the report. This means players cannot see the evidence against them. This suggestion is being made to make the report process more open and fair for everyone, by having members of staff blur or block the chat instead. What are the pros and/or cons of the suggestion? Pros: Players can see the video evidence used in their case. It shows the community that the reporting process is honest. Players can explain their side better if they can see the full video. Staff chat stays secret because it is covered up. Cons: Staff will need a minute or two to blur or block the chat before uploading. How should the suggestion be implemented? Staff should not keep the whole video private instead they should: Put a black box or a blur over the chat area. Post the video publicly in the report, just like players have to do. This can be done easily with any basic video editor or recording software. Note: I am not fully informed on the policies and guidelines on forum reporting. But from my knowledge, the system currently works like mentioned. However, if I am wrong I do apologize.

It might be a limitation, but many many servers have fixed it and found workarounds. So its definitely possible. -

What better RP? LEOs not being able to fight back doesnt lead to any better RP. Just gives crims the ability to do whatever they want without consequences. What would you want LEOs to do during demon hours, just sit AFK at a traffic stop? If we chase a gang member we get lead into an ambush, if we conduct a traffic stop on a gang member we get shot, if we respond to a call that was caused by a gang member, store, bank etc we get shot. Situations would not be handled with "caution and realism". They would get ignored and the criminals would be free to wander. LEOs rarely look for fights, and should never engage first. Like Bala said, we are a reactionary faction. And it is the criminals who 90% of the time start the shootouts that they then complain about. -

If we divide some of the items PD uses into how many hours it takes to be able to afford. Carbine Rifle MK2 - 5 hours SMG - 2 hours Standard 100 AP - 3 hours 150 AP - 4.5 hours Bullpup MK2 - 6 hours Service Carbine - 4 hours Pump MK2 - 3 hours Then, let's say, someone does the required amount of hours a week, as a non-supervisor, it would take 3 months of playing to even be able to afford one kit. If that kit is worth around 200k. LEO can't cook drugs to get money. One small cook for LSD, let's say a 20 cook. Even at the lowest possible quality, it equals around 1.5 hours of work for a standard officer. If you are at a lab with 5 LSD tables, that takes you around 5 minutes. Sure, there is risk involved, but the overall profit is still way more than the average PD officer earns. Sure, if we live and clock off shift, we get the money back. But if we die, we lose way more than a criminal would in terms of time wasted, and it would take way longer to get that back. This would also turn the server into EVEN MORE of a report war. Criminals report cause they lose items, now all of LEO will do the same. At the moment, if I get DMed while on PD by not being given enough demands, or there not enough escalation. I don't really care. If someone runs out of a bank under gunpoint and leaves, I don't really care. But if I'm having to pay for equipment, you can be sure LEOs "Win Mentality" will grow 100x bigger. -
