Easy Criminal Content/Jobs

Recommended Posts

It's no secret that there is minimal activities for criminal players at the moment. A new player joining the server has very little choice other than to run legal jobs until they have enough money to buy a couple cars and some weapons, after that the choices are even less. There are some very easy jobs that could be added using script that is already implemented, just with a couple of minor changes.

All of these jobs would pay slightly higher than legal jobs because of the risk of getting caught. I would imagine the Courier job and other jobs' code could be changed just a little to make it easy and fast to implement.

Drug Dealer

Basically the Courier job now. You would get checkpoints at houses around the city, could even use the exact same ones that Courier uses. You drop off a new item "Illegal Package" for some money. As it's criminal activity, the cash will go into pocket - not into the bank. The item could be hidden in a car or carried on your person. Would pay more than the Courier job as there's a chance of getting arrested or robbed if not discreet enough.

Meth Chef

Using the old mining code. Use an interior in a barn somewhere, the Meth Lab, the person sits inside using a command until they are full of Illegal Packages. Then they must take the packages somewhere to drop off, exactly like the mining job. As before, money goes into pocket on delivery.

Smuggler

Identical to the trucking job except using different vehicles. You would take the job and get assigned a random vehicle from a list of realistic vehicles. You are then tasked with delivering the Illegal Package to one of the warehouses. Choices could include Gun Smuggling, Human Trafficking etc. Again, just using a variation of Illegal Package.

This is just a few ideas that, from a lamens perspective, should be fairly easy to implement and be a quick way to give new players coming with Rage criminal activities to help build their characters.

It's a good idea but without a real playerbase to make it actually risky it's just another grindy script job.

+1

Even if its a grindy script job, its opening doors for RP. It gives more incentive to check out criminal lifestyle. Currently, criminals are really limited in income and almost strictly rely on their creativity in RP to make money and end up making govt alts or working legal jobs to fund their criminal careers.

If you’re a criminal theres 3 ways to get money:

  1. Regular jobs (trucket, money truck and Fedex).

Keep in mind that if you commit a crime your truck and driver licenses will be take away for some days, so you just have 2 jobs, cuz you will never be able to apply for a legal job whit crimes on your record.

  2. Selling drugs and illegal weapon.

Most of the people that use illegal guns have their own turf or friends whit turf, so its almost impossible to sell big guns on a regular base. Whit drugs the story is another; we have like 8 type of drugs, so most of the time the costumer ask for something you don’t have, you have to go order 10 of this, sell 1 to him and keep the other 9 till you find someone that whana buy that. On top, people don’t whana pay even the cost !, and I don’t blame people for this, I blame the difficulty on getting money that make people stingy about spending it.

  3. Make a legal alt.

I personally HATE alts on a RP server( lest be honest,  most of the pople use them like and extension of their main and use it to found his criminal Activiti) cuz they end up been just a bank, the guy that work and send all his money to his sugar daddy (the main character).

We need new and real criminal ways to get money !!! that will occupied our time in other than police chases and shootouts, +1 to this idea.
