securing prisoner's Items

since the most RP that PD can do is arresting people and take their legal and illegal items even for no good reason sometimes which make civillians/criminals lose everything in jail without any chance to get back anything even a GPS after serving their time in jail . I suggest to add to PD/DOC/SD to the right click of items " secure " instead of taking it to their personal use , so once they secure the items it will automatically disappear from the inventory of the player and save in database , after getting out of jail even if they don't find anyone at the time on duty they can ask PD in any other time to unsecure their items because it would be saved already and they'll have a chance to RP it and everything which is more realistic than PD stealing people's stuff . for exemple someone's fishing with unlicensed firearm and got arrested it make no sense to take his fish and bag as well .

-1, when confiscated by the police; an item probably wouldnt make its way back to the owner for the following reasons:-

  1. corruption, a cop may just recirculate the gps into the stores
  2. spoilage, presumably a storage room full of fish, human meat, chicken meat, coal and gadgets would be hard to manage and would result in a lot of spoilage

HUGE -1

not only that but it also contributes to high risk v. high reward. people will no longer be afraid of getting even SHORT sentences. I think in this case the opposite should be done, fines should be increased and criminal records should be harder to run away from. There are way too many criminals because of low risk and high reward rps

tbh, all sounds like IC issues. Realisticly they can get rid of food. Corruption is an IC issue. Fines maybe not being high enough is an IC issue.

In real life no cops steals evidence for the purpose of selling it, are you crazy? It is way too dangerous to steal evidence.

In my opinion stealing player's legal items as a cop should be seen as NON ROLEPLAY ROBBERY. As the risk of stealing evidence ja very high, yet the reward is low(a bag or a knife sold for 2k)

lol no cops steal evidence for the purpose of re-selling in game either. It would break the ooc corruption rule that PD has.

-1 for perishable items (Food & drink)
+1 for personal belongings, clothing, radio, gps...things unrelated to the crime committed. 

Would make DOC stuff way easier as there's only so much stuff we can keep hold of and we still get complaints from those we cannot keep.
