RP standarts that suits current player base

Suggestion: Make the Server More Playable and Less Script-Heavy

I believe most players are not really enjoying the current heavy scripting that tries to make the server feel too much like real life instead of a game.
I’m not asking to reduce the strict RP rules, but to lighten the excessive scripting making gameplay more flexible, enjoyable, and smooth for everyone: new and old players, lifers and casuals, legal and illegal roleplayers alike.

1) Factions

  • Mechanic Factions & Heavy Vehicle Damage
It’s not enjoyable RP when 5 players just stand around waiting for someone to fix their car, or when repairs are denied due to OOC drama.

    • Make both Bayview and Benny’s fully automated from repairs to modifications.

    • Remove mechanic factions entirely so mechanics spread naturally around the server and increase activity.

  • Correctional Guard Faction

    • Delete this faction and give SD/PD the ability to imprison/unimprison players directly.

    • Add auto item recovery after jail time ends.

2) Criminals vs LEOs Interaction

This area has become very toxic and OOC-driven. Both sides suffer from extreme penalties, overpowered vehicles, and unfair RP balance. No one is truly at fault — the real issue lies in the current economy and RP standards.

  • Reduce all jail times and fines by 50%.

  • Set a maximum IC jail time to 1 hour.
This keeps RP consequences meaningful but not excessively punishing.

3) Vehicles

Probably the most important part of this suggestion vehicles are central to gameplay. The goal is to make all cars more creative, functional, and less repetitive (no more using the same car over and over like it’s a DM server).

  • Remove vehicle deformation.
95% of current used cars are chosen simply because they don’t deform. Newer GTA V vehicles are naturally more solid, so reducing vehicle damage overall can balance things out.

  • Allow players to spawn/despawn vehicles anywhere (hospital/house/prrison....)  as long as they previously parked them using /park.

    • Example: park your car in your yard → it spawns there next time.

    • Add RP rules to prevent abuse (e.g., can’t use it to stash or avoid RP or  24-hour cooldown per /park).

    • Only be able to spawn one vehicle eash 15min and one vehicle on the whole map, (numbers can be increased by owning a VIP).

  • Despawning and respawning your vehicle should restore its full HP, just LEOs and other factions.

  • car speaker option will be same as charging cable, once its installed in it, it can't be taken off.

  • Increase fuel cost by 3x to balance out repairs costs and help reduce excess wealth in the server economy.

    4) Allow OOC advertises in limits:

    - am not talking about ooc backups, but allow  factions and people to advertise their events, activities ,radio freqs ,... via discord for example, yes lifeinvader exist, but let's be real, only like 3 percent of playere use it.

Vehicles are chosen for one reason and one reason only, anything else is just fantasy: which vehicle can reach 240 fastest / handle best while also doing 240. There's an epidemic of HSW vehicles, and that's not because of deformation.

-1, This removes way too much Roleplay. This removes ton of Roleplay, as far as I'm aware I've never seen any Mechanic denies repairs for OOC Drama.

Same with DOC, removing DOC removes a ton of roleplay with the Prison and inside the prison.  I have an alt in the DOC Faction if SADOC is gone there will be lots of Boredom in DOC and removes lots of roleplay.

Another -1, You got to remember this is a Roleplay Server. You don't expect in a roleplay server to get arrested and low IC punishment. Developers have already inserted a script that allows criminals to lower their sentence, I don't believe lowering even more is right.

MEGA -1, Lets talk

Remove vehicle deformation.

No, people love the Meta cars that's why so many meta cars are out there. This is not the reason.

Allow players to spawn/despawn vehicles anywhere (hospital/house/prrison....)  as long as they previously parked them using /park.

Like said this is a roleplay server, you won't reasonably be able to securely park at Prison(s), Hostpital, etc. You can already park your vehicle at your house and/or Apartments.

Despawning and respawning your vehicle should restore its full HP.

This removes all the RP to the Mechanic's. Realistically your vehicle does not get repaired automatically, and IRL you are not able to despawn it. I beleive this will open for Crims to abuse this and use it in pursuits,

-car speaker option will be same as charging cable, once its installed in it, it can't be taken off.

This is the only thing I will say +1, but also what about David Theangel, he need to steal it.

Increase fuel cost by 3x to balance out repairs costs and help reduce excess wealth in the server economy.

It's up the business owners, I don't see a big issue with it

All being said it's a BIG -1; this creates more issues and removes lots of Roleplay.

-1 I mean, the only thing i agree with you on here is the deformed cars, I don't drive scouts just because u park it and unpark it, and it looks squashed, when every other car is fine. Everything else is just making the server less of an RP server and more of a cops n robbers type server. There are plenty of servers like that out there, just none of them worth joining for more than 10 minutes. Personally i think instead of changing ecrp to that, just go and find a server that better suits ur playstyle.

that's because its a modded car and not an actual car from GTA online.

I'm rather confused, the suggestion is to "Make the Server More Playable and Less Script-Heavy" to then go on and suggest multiple changes to remove roleplay and add automated scripts?

Many players on this server enjoy mechanic roleplay, and as such find a natural home in Bayview and Bennys, I do not support removing their abilities, or removing their faction whatsoever.

I do support "Add auto item recovery after jail time ends." as I feel reobtaining your items from one of 5 different hubs is a monotonous task that wastes time and is unenjoyable for DOC, PD and SD.

Jail times have already had many reductions, further reductions would be arbitrary. Development will soon focus on changes to DOC to make it more enjoyable to be in the prison, and also be a member of the DOC faction. More detail will come soon, but they are promising.

As for your listed vehicle changes, I also don't support this as not only do some points further take away from mechanics, but they also take away the value of working towards owning your own property to park at your private location as opposed to public parking lots.

As a gas station owner I do support 3x fuel costs! (Satire, I do not believe the prices need to be increased again. Enough drama came from the last import cost increase.)

thanks for your opinion, but the x3 fuel price increase is linked to removing the repairs costs,(removing mechanic factions) , i know its not RP , but let's be real, you can see people standing in benny mechanic there all day, some of them not even talking to their mates in job, i  think those few numbers will add a good value if we saw them roleplaying in other sectors, either legall or illegal, gang activities, story making, IC beefs.

i don't know how to explain this but am trying not to make it light RP, but more fun RP than nerdy one, at the end of the day we not looking to copy paste our average real life style, we here for fun, people are clearly here treating as a escape the tarkov, collecting and fighting for more items.

The only thing worth considering from this would be the automated item recovery after jail. +1 on that.

The rest just makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. And I think others have highlighted that clearly in their responses. For wanting to promote more RP and suit the player base more I don't think your suggestions go in the right direction.

I cannot justify the removal of Bennys/BayView as a faction at all. There are way too many players who enjoy mechanic RP, and while I understand you may have viewed some individuals who "stand around", I know there are a lot of players who enjoy this. We even had factions who were RP only mechanics. The removal of them, and in place, adding scripts to reset your vehicle to full health, spawning/despawning under specific conditions, etc, all of these I feel add no value to the server.

Along with the suggestion to remove mechanics, I disagree with the removing of DOC as a faction. I know many players who love being a DOC Guard. They thrive in the chaos that it brings. While it currently doesn't have a lot in regards to roleplay opportunities, I am hopeful that this is adjusted in the future with development updates. I also do not agree with lowering prison/jail times, as they've been lowered at least 2 or 3 times since I've joined the server. Anything less than just trivializes consequences to actions.

I will support the auto-returning of assets stored in your locker, and anything not returned can be means to seeking out whom hasn't stored it.

Everything else unfortunately just doesn't make sense, and kills way too much unique RP that many players on our server enjoy doing day in and day out.

Posted

As others have said above, auto recovery at items for most I would imagine is a must.

Crims hate waiting around for it and I'm sure LEOs could be doing something far more entertaining, so +1 to get this added.

The rest I do not agree with, jail time is what it is, has had many reductions and the new system and DOC means a 1 hour jail sentence is 29 mins, max you are doing in jail now is like 90 mins if you accept all charges with Diamond.

-1 to the remainder of the post but appreciate you taking the time to express your thoughts

Removing factions is just not it. How would you feel if someone suggested removing your faction that you worked hard to get implemented and supported by script work? I can personally say a lot of effort went into getting both of these factions where they are today, from the current and previous leads all the way down to the members. I don’t really understand the point of the suggestion either. If the goal is to make the server more playable and RP focused, why suggest removing parts of the game that actually create RP? That feels completely backwards. It doesn’t make things more playable, it just removes gameplay altogether.

I don't see this being the case at all, if anything, people want more scripting support and reworks of existing systems to make the experience more immersive and realistic, with more things to do aside from Crim/LEO.

We shouldn't be removing areas of RP. The repair/mod process is pretty much automated as is, compared to other implementations. Service shouldn't be denied due to OOC reasons, if you feel it is, feel free to make a report. I would suggest adding more tasks around the mechanic shop, or reworking the system entirely to make it more immersive and not rely so heavily on /me and /do.

PD/SD already can imprison players if no DOC are around IIRC. DOC is still a good service, if not needing some elbow grease to make more engaging/fun. 100% agree with automatic item recovery only after ringing the bell and no response for a while (like the current impound setup).

Fines and time are completely okay. Over the past few years this system has been completely neutered compared to what it used to be. Crime has consequences. The solution is instead to rework DOC/Jail to make the time not such a boring/ooc-punishment area.

Cars should deform naturally when damaged, this isn't an arcade game. I think, if possible, each vehicle should deform realistically (hitting the wall at 240kph would turn anything into a tin can). Vehicle spawning/despawning should only exist in designated parking spots/garages with script support. You can already park it in your yard and use the existing garage mechanic to despawn it. This avoids the nonsense of timers and whanot and inevitable abuse. Pulling a vehicle out should not restore its HP, this would make mechanics obsolete and completely kill any type of realism. I think for $0 cosmetic repairs (small scuffs, windows, etc) fixing those wouldn't be the worst with a garage, but meh, easy enough to get a repair at a shop. I agree with the car speaker, it should come with vehicles and not be removable. Fuel costs are fine where they are.

thanks to you and any other who commented on this suggestion , in this reply i will be telling the why my suggestion should be added

1) Factions:
yes both correction departement and mechanics are good to make RP alive, but i can tell that they only make things worse either they got numbers or not, most of the time zones i play where server on LOW pop, i can't get a service, i try auto repair at benny, but i finout that there some online, i drive all over to bayview, then found no one, then try auto repair there and still some mechanics are online, where ? idk, so i end up parking my damaged car and use an other one or intentionally throw  it in water to get it from mors inssurance
in second scenario u find like 6 mechanics there standing doing nothing but afk for the salary, like NPCs,, i believe that its better to see the players who want that service to get what they looking for, also the playes on these useless factions to be active around city, or make the mechanic a freelance job that gets payedd on the task like burgershot emplyees.

2) Criminel / LEOs
what i said over  my suggestion is to make a fair play and let people choose what they want to do, not punish them by a 3hours jail for a 20min RP, what i can see now is player base out of LEO factions playing ECRP as a grind game instead of making the stories duo to the deficulty of claiming asssets, thiis systhem supports pay to win which is not good, i prefer a pay to progress faster systhem than this, i don't need a damn VIP to stop wasting time.

3) Vehicles:

its an important asset in every gt game including RP servers, a way of transportation, or enjoyement, 80 percent of vehicles are not used just because they are old gta 5 cars, and as we all know old gta 5 cars below 2018, can deforms easy even while not crashing them, what we can see now on ECRP streets is a number of 10 type of cars (kamacho/terminus/monstrocity/lacoreuse/sentinel gts/bf400/elegy retro custom/draugur......) and i don't blame their users, because who would choose a car they gets  deformed for losing 50 of its HP while these cars do not .
image.jpeg.602cc4b93738ae6fb6310e088162f283.jpegExtreme Deformation Car Mod + Indestructible Cars 3.0 for GTA 5Realistic Car Damage With Better Deformation For DLC Vehicles - GTA5 -Mods.comThe most deformed car I've ever seen in GTA Online (without mods) : r/GrandTheftAutoV_PC
(example of what am saying)

on the second point related to parking and auto repair when respawn like LEOs option for criminels, is not perfect for a RP server, but let's be real, current server is based on not even cops vs robbers server, but  try hard vs cops one.
i do not fuly support this if future updates makes RP more intresting.

4) Allow OOC advertise in limits:i believe that advertising IC information using OOC channels or APPs is not okey or healthy for RP, but since we all know that the server is currently suffering from low activity, i suggest to add 2 channels over ECLIPSE discord to advertise 2 things (1: IC events from car meets etc   /   2: channel for weazel news to copy paste players demands both in game and in that channel.)

Do this and you'll get an NRP punishment. This is NRP behavior. Do not do this.

Actions have consequences. Jail time has been lowered a lot already! Where it's at now is fine, but there is plans to add more to do at DOC, and to adjust the experience there.

This already exists in the ECRP Discord for Server Events.

Once again, the factions are not "useless". Because your time zone is generally low pop, I can empathize with that for sure, but you can 100% use the automatic repairs. If you try and can't, there's someone on duty at Benny's/Bayview. If you cannot see them, they're maybe on a mechanic request--try putting one in and waiting a few minutes. If that doesn't get you anywhere, make an in game /report 1 and ask if there is someone AFK or salary farming. If you really have a hard time and no admins or on or something, try buying and keeping repair kits in your cars, that way you can get them running again in an emergency.

I think the current system is more than fair. Criminals have the ability to make hundreds of thousands of dollars every day, depending on the level of crime they do. Even more if you consider player robberies/gang activities (raids and whatnot). If you get an OOC 3 hour sentence, that's not based off 20mins OOC of RP, it's about the in character scale of the crime(s). Everyone has ideas about balancing crim/LEO and that can go under we're all out of breath, but realistically this server has always had active arguments about the balance, no matter how far it's moved in one direction or the other (look it up in the archives!). What I know would help, is making the prison system more engaging, more involved and not just an OOC timeout zone. I've seen implementations where there are mini games, pool tables, etc., and I think that could all be really neat. I made a suggestion once about a new job as a license plate factory-type thing.

On 10/26/2025 at 2:28 PM, imran said:

I would need to see where you come from with that number. I personally see a good mix of vehicles, especially because of the financial differences between them (this will be even better with the new vehicle customization change, the cheaper cars are more affordable to mod!). In my opinion--which I know many players don't align with--is that I will use lore-accurate vehicles for my characters, even if that means I'm at a disadvantage in pursuits/min-maxed performance settings. It wouldn't make sense for my cowboy-character to drive anything other than a beat-up pickup truck, and that same logic goes for my other characters. I believe there are better options to inhibit players from taking the meta-approach to vehicles (the vehicle update, once again, is huge for this, on top of limiting high-speed units for the respective law enforcement to keep things realistic).

#server-events and #weazel-news respectively. I do think it would be cool to get the ad-readouts in the weazel channel, too, but might be hard to implement.
