Credit Vehicle Refund Program

Recommended Posts

I know some people will think this is because of the most recent update but I’ve tried pitching this a while ago, I just think now is the time people will actually be thinking about it

many people when they first join the server, or start a new character, will buy a credit car to lessen the grind on said character. These cars most times get replaced with better cars and rot in garages or parking.

im suggesting giving players the option to “trade in” their cars for partial credit return. Anywhere between 25-50% return would give players the ability to re-use credits for new cars, VIP, or anything else in the F6 menu, as the money has already been donated, we should be free to actually use them. Obviously upgrades to the car would not be refunded.

would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on this!

+1 you can transfer to other characters which is almost the same thing, I say let people recycle the credits they've already spent and allow them to be re-spent on new items. This does not take away any money from development as it's already spent cash. Plus, we have credits that are being given out as a reward for being on the server so not all credits are from money being spent.

+1 great idea.

financially also makes sense - if i bought a car for 8000 credits and its not being used i can refund a portion.

that refunded amount wont get me a new car so i would have to add more money regardless.

currently i dont want to drop another $100 for a car however another $50 i would do tomorrow.

Here's why. The credit system is already built out and the vehicles are already coded in. So every purchase doesn't require extra work. And like stated above a lot of people have credit cars they don't use anymore for various reason. Whether they weren't fast, couldn't store a body, only hand two doors, weren't an off-roader, etc. I have a Draguar I never use anymore. I would gladly trade that in even for less credits just to put it towards VIP. It doesn't matter if the money you put into mods and upgrades it is a wash. It would just incentive people to invest more money into the server at the end of the day. A lot of people don't buy credit vehicles because you can't trade them of do anything else. So I think it's a good idea that could help the development of the server with the money it could bring in.

I'm sure that everyone would love that, but the server could not afford this as things and time are not free. The server needs revenue or it is just not feasible to maintain it as the hosting prices and other services stack up quite large. There are also investments being made into 3rd party assets, like interiors, or the casino script that is going to come out soon. Furthermore, it takes a lot of time to develop the server and we need to earn money to be able to continue doing so as we need to eat, drink, pay taxes, bills and fulfill other commitments.
