DOC | Change to mandatory final 1 hour

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Currently afaik a player has to do the last hour of their DOC time while online. This idea is to allow the player to decide when they do their 1 hour online.

Currently

3 hours jail time -> stays online for 1 hour -> logs off for 24 hours -> has to do the final 1 hour online

Suggested

example 1

3 hours jail time -> stays online for 1 hour -> logs off for 24 hours -> is out of jail since they have already done 1 hour

example 2

3 hours jail time -> stays online for 30 mins -> logs off for 24 hours -> has to do the final 30 mins online

Can't speak for how it affects people who frequent prison, but to me this makes sense. If the idea is to require a single hour in prison to accompany the other hours being AFK'd, then it shouldn't matter when this hour is done.

I see this as a positive from both a guard and crim perspective. Some folks like to continue their RP immediately after getting into prison and won't log off for a bit, but then they still have to do that mandatory last hour at the end even if they spent an hour and a half already RPing in prison.

+1 its not great when you go to get back on after a few days of playing and already serving a bit of time to then be met with another hour of prison that is mandatory anyways despite you serving time whilst being offline. The hour can be played at any time so that DOC are still receiving the Rp that they require to function as a faction and that way it would all work perfectly. I personally could not see any issues with this being implemented whatsoever!

Its a good suggestion with the cops to crim ratio it just allows for more rp between them so cops dont get bored 247 and hunt crims.  Its supposed to be fun for both...
