Tom Whelan Posted September 12, 2018 Report Posted September 12, 2018 Here's an simple improvement to not only NLR, but also FearRP When getting killed there should be a respawn time for 15 minutes or so with a Blackout screen and no way to communicate with people, except /admin Benefits: Player will value his life more (Since waiting 15 minutes is a bummer) NLR is pretty much forced and can't be broken Player reports can be created while waiting, if death is the result of rulebreaking. Exceptions: LSPD will spawn back faster due to the poor balancing of PD and Criminals Blackout screen: Weazel news content ECRP Rules
Phil McGee Posted September 12, 2018 Report Posted September 12, 2018 15 mins with no game playing at all? Or am I reading this wrong?
ElisabethC Posted September 12, 2018 Report Posted September 12, 2018 -1 Not every death is the result of a rulebreak. Forcing someone to wait 15 minutes is absurd, and not very good for the game flow. Just because you died, doesn't mean you can't do anything else. You can just RP elsewhere. You shouldn't have to punish players for dying. 2 5
Adrian Johnson Posted September 12, 2018 Report Posted September 12, 2018 ^ i do fully agree with mrs coopah

Neither is it to punish anyone, It's about the character valuing their life more, and the timer doesnt have to be 15 minutes, it could be lower - That's not up to me.
Norell Posted September 12, 2018 Report Posted September 12, 2018 1+ I think people in general care way to little about thier characters safety. I think this would be a way to work towards less run and gun on the server wich I think would be a good idea.
verydoge12 Posted September 12, 2018 Report Posted September 12, 2018 Waiting 15 to 20 minutes after touching a wall with a bike going 30 km/h? no thanks
GamerKurisu Posted September 12, 2018 Report Posted September 12, 2018 (edited) Yeah not a good idea if you think about it. Got VDM'd, DM'D, KOS'd? Wait an extra 15 minutes so you can get even angrier. I don't think it needs changing, just encourage everyone to report. Edited September 12, 2018 by GamerKurisu

Shannon Posted September 13, 2018 Report Posted September 13, 2018 it sounds like a good idea, but with all the deaths due to desync and DM/KOS etc.. are you really going to make a player wait x amount of minutes because of the server or other people breaking the rules? You would have a lot of angry people complaining on the forums that they lost time on the game due to an issue that was not their fault. The timer for being injured is long enough and that already annoys players with how long they have to wait until they can play again.

Once again, I didn't say that all deaths is result of rulebreaking. Rules are not always fun or even funny, they're there for a reason. This was supposed to improve FearRP and all the things you do that's dangerous and could kill you. The higher you value your life, the more careful you would be, right ?
