[Government Factions] Pay

Low risk? I get robbed at least 2 times a day, and that's with me avoiding sketchy calls... My drivers get robbed so much its not even funny lol. Also, why would joe want to join a gov faction anyways if hes already getting payed more for driving a bus? And to be blunt...there is nothing high risk about being a crim... you shoot first, ask questions later. If you die, you die, no loss. IN FACT, you always want cops to kill you... so its like 80% of the crims try to get killed if they get caught to avoid jail time. You hardly see crims obey the correct RP anyways. And I'm not talking about the people who have Turfs and have the ability to make shit loads...that makes sense...its the dude who just joined the sever and makes more than people who have been there for a year...

I got robbed twice the other night, and both times I was injured and subsequently died, which means that I had about 20-30 minutes of waiting for MD/dying so that I could finally walk again and get back on the job.  And when you’re sitting in your cab on standby, and someone pulls a gun on you and robs you, you can’t do anything to defend yourself due to FearRP rules

Criminals should ONLY make more when it comes to illegal acts... NOT driving a bus, farming, or filling ATMs.... And transferring money between chars should be against the rules if the character is going to be a Crim.

imo you got a point regarding gov earning more money than civs
regarding money transfer idk... I dont see any problems with that, like come on pretty much every criminal has plenty of currupted goverment members/police officer on his side whatever if its in game or real life

regarding what goverment factions do... now that's... well we could discuss about it a lot, mechanics are without a doubt the best faction/roleplaying team in general I have ever seen on the server, police is annoying as fuck.. yes they do their work but they're not communicating at all with you, when they need something you have to answer them when you need something they're keeping their mouth quiet- calling admin if they can't work their way out icly, medics.. pretty inactive from what I see(not enough medics in game in general so it feels like every 10th player is saved), idk regarding the taxi company never encountered with them

Part of me wants to plus one this suggestion and part of me is against this suggestion.

Let's start with the positive on why I like this suggestion. For one it does make it more appealing to join a government faction and make more money than you usually would make in the government faction. To me that's a huge plus.

However, my downside with this is criminals only make the money they make because they take a huge risk in the tasks they perform. And bus drivers making 8-11k/hr may be true, but that's also a dead end with no promotional factors and the job sucks to be in. Truckers and bus drivers deserve the money they make. As for factions most of the people in government factions farm hours and then take that money and put it on their alts. Which to me is bullshit because they work by standing there most of the time and get 8-9k/hr which is a lot of money, on top of that these government employees have ways to make legal cash like tips from driving, ems by healing wounds, police by getting tipped from a citizen for helping them, etc. As it stands now I feel like factions make a lot of money legally with hardly much risk. While criminals risk prison time and even their life doing crimes to make the money they make.

So long story short I think this idea is great, however, it just makes it so these factions are making more and more money than everyone else and transferring it to their alts. That then run criminal factions or in criminal organizations. And I don't think that's necessarily the answer. But, my conclusion is the more they raise income , the more prices raise to buy things as well, more people make, more people charge for items, all we would be doing is causing inflammation.

Higher wages, isn't always more pay.

This, I really agree.

There are multiple millionaires who work for the government, the quality of cars in all government car parks far exceed what you see criminals driving around with.

The system in place currently provides a similar opportunity in both sides of the spectrum. It's meant to be a grind for everybody. If everyone was minted in the city and drives around in supercars, there's no economic structure, and nothing to keep people busy.

You do know most cars parked there are actually civilian ones abusing the fact that it's a NCZ?

-1 same like in real life it is your choice. Criminals are getting more money everywhere, but it is high risk, high reward. To add, also in real life government jobs are not best paid kob, and private sector beats it with its salary.

But the taxi firms would be a private sector job, it’s just that in ECRP it has to be classed as a government job as that’s who funds the salaries. But, for a Bus driver to earn more than an EMT or a Police Officer is rediculous.

Transferring money between characters should be banned full stop.

Cause I cant rob people on duty, hell, I can't even speed without the risk of OOC removal... Might as well resign and be a bus driver so i get payed more rofl. That's currently the mind set that is in place. There are people talking about striking in all factions... soo I mean, there is obv an issue. Look at MD... hardly ANYONE ever on... to the point that PD are now the medics...

I'm sad to see this. PD member that misses to rob someone on side and feels bad for not able to break laws. Where's left purpose joining faction for RP. And its more common to see this attitude in this community which might be reason for others with healtier appetite for RP leave. If desperate to be rich quit PC gaming and find job.

Way to totally misread this whole thing. Please try again.

-1 The gap between newer players and older people is already massive, this would just make it worse. And 6 mechanics standing in a row half tabbed out watching netflix while 1 dude helps everyone is not ''bringing life'' to the server. That's cashing money for being afk where as our ''plain'' jobs actually have to spend a ton of effort and can't simply tune out. Although I personally wouldn't mind if the MD/PD got a slight promotion due to the activity required while on-duty from those particular factions.

So you’re saying PD and MD also sit around watching Netflix then? I think you need to check your facts.

Also, have you tried fishing? That’s pretty much tabbed out watching Netflix. Not exactly an effort job. And then you have the post vans, transporters, Bus and lorry drivers who haul ass everywhere min-maxing trying to cram as much in as possible. Plus, is driving a van about that hard?!? There’s no RP element tbf

I'm not understanding people who says oh it's high risk in real life. Yes in real life it's high risk since you've got only one life. In RP you will respawn after you die with all of your money and stuff like that so where's the high risk in here?

I litteraly said I wouldn't mind a small promotion for PD/MD due to the activity required from them while on-duty..
