  1. Would also help if a LEO who has encountered this "bug" before could confirm this is what might of happened.
  2. That is completely understandable and I appreciate yourself going out of the way to confirm this, It seems ridiculous but it is the case. The only other considerations I would make is interacting with the weapon when downed, or another player interacting with the weapon in your inventory when downed. Another consideration is that the gloves and weapon have been in my possession for an extended period of time. This logically points to user error but I'd also argue it opens the time span of an unseen bug occurring. I'd be interested to see if prints have also been left on other weapons in my arsenal. Or if it was just for this particular firearm, which would confirm 100% in my opinion it was user error as I regularly switch firearms depending on the vehicle I use. If possible, checking the serial number on the weapon might also clear this up - is it registered to myself? I've only ever brought 2 or 3 legal firearms since joining the server in 2018-2019. I have over 150 .50s so I find this unlikely but that's the only circumstance in which I could of left them legitimately. Either way that's a few hoops to jump through and your investigation seems conclusive so I apologise for wasting the time of those involved. Thanks.
  3. Hi Alex, though I respect your suggestion and I'd be all for degradation of gloves I don't think this is relevant to the discussion at hand. There is no indication to the player of this occurrence, I think most criminals were under the impression that gloves would protect them from leaving fingerprints at a scene. It's quite disappointing that this bug has been causing issues for SWAT's investigations, but has failed to be reported. If we want to go this direction (which I'd really believe creating a suggestion thread would benefit from) I don't think criminal investigations realistically always get perfect fingerprints from evidence, along with the fact the script doesn't take into account the degradation and potential cross contamination of the evidence. (https://www.researchgate.net/publication/233901042_Determination_of_latent_fingerprint_degradation_patterns_-_A_real_fieldwork_study) Please stay on topic, this is most certainly a bug and not a feature. This thread is an attempt at a call to action until this can be amended.
  4. Of course this is anecdotal, but it does seem quite a few members of PD were aware of this. I've been told of reoccurring apartment raids with evidence being contaminated from gloved swat members. I think now that this has finally been brought to attention, there would be a argument for bug abuse if an RP alternative (as LEO's did in the past) was not carried out when requested, in my opinion.
  5. The only time I ever not wear gloves is the journey from MD to the nearest shop. I have no proof that this isn't the case, but I can ensure you I'm not lying. I've already carried out my 2 hour DOC sentence because of this bug, I have nothing to gain from this. The only reason this was brought to my attention and confirmed to be the case was anecdotal evidence from LEO's, along with the confirmation from the Support member. These "statistics" of course are not bulletproof but they're brought up from LEO's themselves who have direct access to the script. Thanks.
  6. First I'll be referring to this report - Gloves do not work as intended and are bugged, LEO's should return to using RP to gather fingerprints. The LEO's included in this bug report were under the impression this is a feature, not a bug. If this is the case it should be cleared up or discussed, but I consider this as bug abuse really. Would love to hear anyone else's opinion on it. Thanks.
  7. Date and time (provide timezone): 00:00 GMT Character name: Jay Endo Issue/bug you are reporting: Gloves work randomly and can leave fingerprints regardless Expected behavior: Gloves operate as actual gloves. Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: N/A Here are some screenshots provided from the LEO's who arrested me as well as Support. I was taken to DOC for fingerprints on a weapon that I 100% never touched with my bare hands. Is this a bug or a feature?
  8. Lowered stance cannot be applied to vehicles without also applying low grips, it would be great if you could have either or as intended by the default game.
  9. +1, though DOC can be fun at times it really needs a revamp of either improved activities and/or heavily reduced prison times.
  10. Not quite, normally it just shuts in time but a few times today (maybe due to the increase in players/latency?) its taken a while so if you fat finger the wrong key its quite easy to fall out of the building. But saying that, sometimes it also doesn't close at all.. weird.
  11. Apologies no video is available, it happens quite regularly sometimes so next time for sure i’ll get it recorded - was more occupied with protecting my assets and getting ahold of a admin (door was unlocked) when it occurred. It seems to happen at random, normally when first entering the property.
  12. Date and time (provide timezone): 8/15/2021 - 1:09:45PM Character name: Jay Endo Issue/bug you are reporting: When entering a 1G, your front door sometimes remains open - allowing you to fall through into the map (resulting in a TP to city in a different dimension) Expected behavior: It remains closed Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: N/A - (Picture of myself in a random dimension unable to do anything)
  13. +1, would be useful to be able to move furniture from the UI also
  14. Post wellness update, you're now unable to drink more than a single bottle of voddy at a time.. disgusting. Re-enable the ability to drink yourself to an early death for club/bar RP. Pros: culture Cons: literally nothing
