  1. Why should it be fair to have one radio frequency. Its a police department not a gang frequency. It makes sense to have TAC and especially JTAC to communicate with other agencies. Imagine if there is 2 pursuits ongoing at the same time. This just doesnt make any sense and is an ignorant comment. Thats false as well. While there are some occasions were that happens when people speak over each other, they are usually giving important information on the situation. TAC is extremely useful. Trying to justify using TS as a way to reduce the effect of /vr 1 is just trying to avoid the problem completely. The issue is the server VOIP at thats the thing that should be addressed, not trying to get TS for everyone in the server to use. The discussion should be titled "Fix VOIP, its been too long."
  2. Never really though about this but and you bring up an excellent points, but there is just some small things that I slightly disagree with. I 100% agree that DOC should not be walking around with heavy weapons like snipers on their back near prisoners, as they realistically can just be jumped and the gun taken from them. There should 100% be heavy IC regulations on who and when these firearms can be carried. Yes over 50% of DOC is in CERT, but you gotta remember that IRL, these "task forces" are available 24/7 with full operational capacity. In ECRP, you cant expect every CERT operator to be on standby, and if the numbers were lowered to say 10-20% of the faction, you will barely have any CERT operatives online to be effective when its needed. The deployment of CERT should also be heavily regulated, and the number of operatives deployed should be proportional to the threat faced. In the clip that you linked (which I find showing VERY poor RP standards by the way), you would not need 15 CERT operatives, only 3-4 would suffice in that situation, so not everyone needs to deploy. Also, while I believe that no weapons should be allowed in DOC and only batons, in a GTA RP server such as ECRP, this just wont work. The reason DOC guards IRL dont have weapons is because prisoners would not DARE touch a prison guard unless for a very very good reason. Even then, they can be locked up in the "hole" or solitary for months on end and have their time increased by years in some cases. In ECRP, punching a DOC officer will just put you in solitary for a couple of hours, which is nothing in comparison. Therefore, I feel like having these weapons, so that prisoners will actually "fear" the guards is a necessity unfortunately.
  3. Just go up to gang members and ask them to sell u guns. No need for an NPC to reduce interactions even more than it already is. Not everything need to be script and NPCs with 0 interactions. Big -1
  4. +1. This wont even change a thing in terms of RP in DOC. What difference does it make if someone is tabbed out or logged out completely. If someone doesnt want to RP inside DOC, they shouldnt be forced to be logged in to do their time because they would just tab out regardless. Therefore, the argument that it will kill DOC doesnt make sense since at least the people who are still actually logged in want to RP in some way, instead of having 20 prisoners ((TABBED OUT)).
  5. +1. I think that /alias should "wear off" if you havent seen someone for a while. Lets say Player X leaves the server for 1 year. Once they return, it has been 1 year since anyone has seen them, so it would make sense for thier alias to be removed. On the other hand, someone u see everyday, such as a coworker, their alias should not be removed. There can be a script where if ur player is within range of someone, then the "decay timer" resets. An additional thing to change with the /alias command. I feel like from far away, the player tag should only display the ID from far away, and once you are close enough to someone, then it should switch to showing alias. This should prevent the situations where someone drives by going 200 and u can see the id and alias, knowing who is in the vehicle. (This is NRP but hard to enforce.)
  6. Making it so that LEO's guns can only be looted when they are injured/dead makes it much harder to get access too and also prevents the "rob him and dip" situation as not only do u have to injure the LEO, but also need to do the action timer to loot them and get out safely. This makes it very high risk and high reward, but its only viable in situations where DM rights are acquired and there is valid escalation which would mean this doesnt happen very often.
  7. Its a cool idea but the problem is that you are forced to riddle someone with bullets to fully incapacity them due to the GTA mechanics. In reality, one bullet is all it takes in most cases to injure or even kill someone, but we have to fire at least 3 .50 shots or more to injure someone in the server. Its a good idea but I dont think it will work due to the mechanics of GTA and the overall balance of the game. -1 but I would have loved to see it implemented. EDIT: Somewhat related but the /stabalize command can be slightly modified to implement your idea. I feel like its extremely unrealistic and low quality RP for someone who was shot up in a shootout to get /stabilize by MD and sit on the scene for 15+ minutes while LEO run around and try to clean up the scene and figure out the charges. Maybe depending on the injuries sustained, the /stablize acts like /cpr but with a longer and more dynamic duration to encourage LEO to think about the individuals lives and not leave them in an injured state filled with bullets on a scene for extended periods of time. In addition, based on the RPed injuries, MD can have another command that basically "revives" the patient on site for less severe injuries like falling of ur bike or getting beat up. These might provide a more dynamic RP environment for all parties involved.
  8. Yeah but not everyone can afford VIP. Some things just dont make sense to be locked behind VIP. I can understand the lower taxes, lower fines, etc as there is at least some RP sense behind it but not how many vehicles you can take out at once.
  9. I think we established that having a more fair and fun envoirment for everyone is the way to go! But if we wanna go that way, is it realistic that there are no cars on the road except player cars or that every other car on the road is an LEO? Going 200 would be very difficult if there were AI cars, just try in story mode.
  10. Well the only reason this thread exists is because there are some people that think it is broken.
  11. +1 ^^^. A system that is described by DoTo would be awesome imo. It is faily realistic and is balanced, giving both crims a chance at getting away while also not making the equipment LEOs would have completely useless in various situations. Both systems being separated is important. Automatic plate readers SHOULD be a thing, but what I meant was not having a single button to run the plate when it is detected by the radar, but have it so the LEO would need to type it into the MDC manually after it is scanned. A better option would be to just have a "database search" delay where it takes a couple of seconds to get all the info before it pops up in the MDC. This means that unless there is a BOLO / R/O has outstanding warrants, there is no need to run the plate in the MDC manually, as the ANPR described above would alert if there are any issues. This is great and will avoid situations like the one described by the OP as the plate was visible for a very short amount of time and realistically it would be impossible for any system to scan the plate in such a small amount of time, BUT, the speed radar would have clocked the vehicle as it drove past. This can provide an opportunity for the vehicle to not pull over and evade meaning that if the LEO didnt catch up in time, they wouldnt have a plate. This balances everything out and gives crims better chances of getting away (as their vehicle wont get BOLO'ed with a plate, just a description) but also doesnt make LEOs useless in these situations, requiring more skill to be successful. Overall, splitting the 2 systems up sounds like a great idea and I really hope this gets looked into further.
  12. What is wrong with making something fair so that everyone has more fun even if it is unrealistic or whatever?? Its a game after all but I guess some think it isnt!
  13. Yeah I agree with @XeV on this. Adding onto it, you can press one button to pull up the entire record of the R/O of the vehicle almost instantly. It makes no sense to be able to do that as realistically, you would have to take the plate from the scanner and type it into the MDC manually to check the R/O's record, etc. By having the MDC open up instantly as soon as a plate is scanned, it makes it so much easier for LEO to know who is wanted / has tickets vs how it is IRL as you can lookup someone's record going 200 past you and pull them over for an outstanding felony because the record came up instantly, even though it would have taken 10-15 second to run the plate in the MDC and by that time, the individual is gone. Rehauling the whole MDC / Radar gun to make it more realistic and harder for LEO to just go around and instantly running people's background is overdue, as the whole system is very out of date (MDC hasnt changed since 2017 i believe).
  14. Title says it all. I dont see why there is a limit on how many cars. It makes it impossible to switch out sometimes. If you have a perma stalled vehicle on the map somewhere, and u wanna switch what ur driving with something else at parking but u used both parking slots, guess what: you cant! You cant park ur current vehicle because parking is full, but you cant take out a vehicle from parking because u have 2 out. There is no reason for a limit of 2 cars to be on the map especially because cars despawn when u log out after 2 hours.
  15. Food cooking system would be cool. Should be a lot cheaper to encourage people who would rather take time out of their day to make their food rather than click 2 buttons and get it instantly. A whole system based on a market / grocery store could even be a thing where people can go buy different ingredients to make different types of food, etc.

  17. -1. This is a videogame lol. We are here to have fun and the point of RP is to play an alternate life that u probably wouldnt do IRL (at least I hope thats the case with crim) so this basically means no one is going to want to even risk any of that due to how much grind is needed, effectively ruining the server. Not only that, lifers dont really have that much RP to do in prison as just as Bala said, its filled with ((TABBED OUT)) or /b why did u punch me bro, save pov. No offense, this has gotta be one of the worst suggestions ive ever heard on this server and I dont see any positive impact this can have on the community.
  18. -1. People should be held to higher RP standards and that should be considered NRP tbh. Only reason I think it should stay is because it provides some RP such as RP plugging the phone into the AUX and handing it to different passengers to choose a song, including the people in the backseat, along with other small RP that make things more enjoyable. Once I RPed turning on voice activation on my phone and got 10-15s in the back of my cruiser to choose songs as we drove to DOC just to make it more fun. It might seem small but its some fun RP that would be removed because others are switching songs using NRP methods.
  19. I am heavily invested in both sides of the server, being a higher ranking deputy and command of a criminal faction so I feel that knowing both sides allows me to give a better answer here. I agree with some aspects of your post, but heavily disagree with others. Firstly, "clapping cops" isnt the only only way to escape cops or to win, there are other better and smarter ways to get out of a situation. You dont need body armor and heavies to "win" against LEO. Obviously LEO need to be stronger than the criminals on this server because if they arent, the server is gonna end up overrun by criminals, which does not really provide a fun experience for rival gangs, civilians, and even LEO. If you feel like you need to grind to get body armor and heavies to go up against LEO, then you are very much mistaken, as you can easily outsmart them while being at a HUGE disadvantage. There are other ways than guns blazing, utilize your environment and come up with better Rp situations. You cannot compare LEO with a criminal organization. Do you see the government IRL providing funding to cartels and other criminal organizations. If the only thing you want to do on the server is use heavy guns and run around shooting people,. then im afraid what people have told you before are correct, you are on the wrong server. I did not join PD/SD for the free weapons, body armor, etc. I joined to experience LEO and being a police officer in general. So this argument that all you want is access to these things with the least amount of effort is just sad. Also, I did not just join a criminal faction for the same thing. There are other criminal things you can do other than running around labs trying to get into fights, such as robbing banks, stores, chopping cars, etc. Your argument that its a lot harder to get an illegal faction official then joining LEO is very much correct. On the one hand, you have an established PD/SD with government funding, vs a group of criminals trying make it big. Well I know that crims need to have repercussions for their action, I 100% agree that how DOC and jail in general is designed is very demotivating. You can spend hours and hours in prison for minor things. For example, I got over 3 hours of jail for evading, having a firearm with modifications. So yes, I agree that DOC feels like an OOC punishment more than an IC one, considering the lack of RP to do in DOC for all these hours, making it become an "afk and watch Neflix" sort of deal, which is just boring for everyone.
  20. The Burgershot update was cool in that it added the ability to food to spoil, emphasizing the use of fridge and buying food WHEN you need it. However, recently the main foods that people eat have been removed from stores and instead moved to the couple of vending machines scattered around the city. I feel like its pretty much impossible to find food anymore, and its a struggle to keep your food bar up. The food from the vending machine is always at 0%, which makes no sense considering vending machines with food will be refrigerated, which means that the food spoils very close to the time you buy it. You have to buy the food using cash, meaning that you first have to run to the ATM, get the money, run back and buy your food. I know this is trying to get more people to go to Burgershot, but for people who spend their time mostly up north (SD, Bayview, etc), its not feasible. If food were to be removed completely from stores, there should have been viable alternatives to provide accessible, full "health" food, that you can buy with a credit card, etc. such as having scripted restaurants around. Right now, its just a pain to buy any sort of food that fills you up. I know that sandwiches are still in stores, but they are expensive and dont even fill you up like the rest of the food. I would like to hear everyone's thoughts on this topic.
  21. Colin Quinn - 4 tickets
  22. How about when you press the PTT keys (N,M,P) it automatically resets voice for you so that if you needed a /vr 1, it is done by the script when you try to use those PTT keys?
  23. Cant wait to rp with yall. Good luck!!
  24. The Royals were rolling around the city looking for trouble one day. They had all overheard Nick say that he was being pulled over near the barbershop. As some of them went to see what was going on, they were shocked to see Nick standing outside the vehicle with his hands up. Jesse knew the crew couldn't save Nick at that point, but after a few minutes of watching the scene, he noticed a golden opportunity to try to make the best of a bad situation. Except for two deputies, all of PD and SD have left the scene, leaving the Sultan on the side of the road with both deputies in their vehicles. Jesse stows his strap and asks that someone drop him off next to the car in an attempt to retrieve it. When John pulls up next to the Sultan, Jesse jumps out and into the unlocked Sultan. The SD deputy can be heard saying, "Don't get in," but Jesse has no intention of stopping. His gaze was fixed on the road ahead. He took off with the Sultan and tried to flee; at one point, he had some distance on the Drafter and his chances of escaping looked better, until he made a fatal mistake that cost him everything. Jesse saw the red parking garage and decided to go through it, but he hit a small bump on his way in, causing him to lose control of the vehicle, colliding with a concrete pillar and completely stalling it. Shortly after, the drafter comes to a halt and Jesse gets down on his knees in defeat. Jesse is handcuffed and read his rights when he notices some Royals vehicles circling the area. When he looked around and saw that he still had one deputy with him, hope began to fill his eyes. Suddenly, the Elegy that had dropped him off earlier arrives, the door opens. Jesse seizes the opportunity and rushes to the Elegy, jumping in. Jesse and John managed to lose the chopper after a 5-minute chase and hid in one of the airport's garages out of sight. Jesse's cuffs are unlocked by John, and he is free to go, turning on the radio and celebrating. Although Nick's Sultan was about to be impounded, Jesse wasn't too upset because he at least tried to get it back for him. He also knew it was completely totaled, which meant the officers would have to get a tow truck to impound the vehicle, adding to their difficulties.
