  1. 350k at the door [1G], but I am open to offers, 4296408
  2. -1. This is unnecessary and wont result in the 2 store robbers feeling the courage to shoot at cops just because both of them are armed. This will just make those stores worse to rob as you would need an extra person. Stores are fine the way they are and just need maybe some adjustments to make them more viable.
  3. Maybe carry a smaller gun thats easier to conceal. SNS or Combat pistol. You realistically wont able be able to conceal a .50 (Desert Eagle) behind a shirt due to its size. A smaller pistol is very easy to hide behind a jacket or more loose clothing.
  4. +1 but I think the reason that might not happen is because by concentrating everyone to 2 banks on the map, it will give an opportunity for people to interact with each other more often, but I still think it would be nice if they had more uses.
  5. +1 i agree and also agree that it should vary based on what u are taking out. also think it would be cool if the police vehicle didnt act like a /fl with unlimited shit. it would be cool if u take certaiin amount of something and put it in ur cruiser, and u cant use more than what u have in it before needing to go bak to the station. if u put on armor and take another spare with u, once u swap, u cannot swap for a third one till u go back to the station.
  6. ^^ I agree with @ShawnsBeard. You cant just pick and choose where you want realism so it benefits you and ur agenda. Huge -1 from me but there needs to be some action timers on actions that LEOs can do like Shawn said. -1

  9. True but then so can other people. It would also be very risky because u literally wont be able to turn so if someone pulls out infront of u, or if the road is spiked / blocked, your fucked. I am not saying its the best solution as I proposed it, but I really think this should be considered. Pursuits would be 10x more interesting, fun, skill-based, this way.
  10. Implementing realistic handling for all vehicles can be a solution to the speed cap. There are mods out there that modify the files for realistic handling. This will mean that it is no longer safe/viable to go 200 in the city because your car wont turn going 130 km/h and go from 240 to 100 in 0.5 seconds. People will actually have to drive slower if they dont want to end up in a wall every 2 seconds, so the speed cap wont be necessary because if you try going 300 km/h you just gonna die making 1 turn. Pursuits will be more about the skill of the player rather than the car, so meta vehicles wont be so dominant anymore.
  11. -1 to the last 2 suggestions. We have the penal code for a reason. While I personally dont place all the obscure charges that a criminal COMMITTED, there is completely nothing wrong with charging someone to the fullest extend by the penal code. Charges like face concealment, unlawful assembly, felony public endangerment, etc. might be unnecessary but there is nothing OOCly wrong about those charges, they were committed by the crim. What charge stacking is is giving someone evading an officer every time they evaded after losing the cops earlier, or for every time someone didnt comply with a lawful order. Therefore, I disagree with this suggestion, as it is IC. From my experience, flying over drug labs randomly is something we dont do. The only time I fly over a drug lab is if there is someone of interest inside the lab, and we want to know how many people are there before entering or if someone evaded into the lab. I would also like to clarify that if a helicopter spots 10 people in a lab without the conditions I mentioned (which arent exhaustive) then there isnt enough reason to just enter the lab just because 10 people are there. They need to be actively committing crimes for us to enter a lab.

  13. I agree that lowering the criminal faction members cap could be beneficial to the server. Having less criminals per group would encourage the creation of more criminal groups, which would lead to more criminal activity and more RP opportunities. However, I do have some concerns about the potential impact on current criminal factions. Lowering the cap too drastically could potentially lead to the disbandment of some current factions, which could be detrimental to their members and the overall criminal RP on the server. I would suggest lowering the cap to 25, as you mentioned, and implementing it gradually to allow current factions to adjust and avoid having to forcibly kick members. This would also give newer criminal groups a chance to establish themselves and become more competitive in the criminal underworld. Overall, I believe that lowering the criminal faction members cap to 25 could be a positive change for the server, as long as it is implemented carefully and with consideration for the impact on existing criminal factions.
  14. What about criminal freelance activities. They arent marked on the map so u gotta find them icly. u can do simple jobs like selling drugs on the street, transporting illegal weapons / other things from point A to point B and then getting a cut, burning down a building for pay, vandalism, illegal graffiti, etc? imo freelance jobs shouldnt just be legal, there can be many cool things to be done with illegal freelance jobs for newer players trying to get into the criminal life and make some money illegally (which can be encouraging for them to keep going down this road) and also make it so that LEOs have more to do. The penal code has so many felonies/misdemeanors that are unused because no one commits these crimes (like arson) but with illegal freelance jobs, these crimes can be encouraged and will make a more fun environment.
  15. I agree with Bala. Things are usually arent as interesting/successful the second time around. The rise of the pier came naturally and trying to force it to become popular again is like swimming upstream. The moment you stop trying you will end up right back where you started. Hopefully in the future there will be a new hangout spot for people to go which will happen naturally through IC gameplay.

  17. Overall, I agree with a lot of what has been said. Ive been playing crim and LEO for over a year now and eventually, I always end up leaving my crim for some time out of boredom and just play LEO for the majority of my time. Crim RP is extremly boring and repetitive like a lot of people said and I feel like the only way to make it fun again is to add new and exciting things for crims to do. Car boosting Better drug system thats friendly for new crims to get into and move up from being a 2bit crim to someone with more experience (poor solo new player crims trying to get into it and get rolled by 10 gang members with heavies which then end up doing roadworks) Revert chop system and revamp it Make banks not a 15 man zerg where u just point guns at tellers, press e on 2 objects and wait. Add a hacking aspect or another skill based aspect where the bank is done by 4-6 people max. (Hostage banks and any other form of unique bank RP is dead because the moment u step out of the bank, u are blasted like its the 4th of july) The crim activies that can be done are extremely stale. There is pretty much nothing to do and so the only fun people have is drive around with their guns looking for conflict that usually lasts the duration of a fight. After all, this is a video game and people wanna shoot their guns sometimes and have fun, so why not provide good RP behind it by encouraging conflict RP in a way that makes sense. Maybe different gangs can control different crim activities and tax people on it. Lets say GBK is the prominent south side gang, so they can control the chop and drug dealer in that area. You can have a couple of members there from time to time and when anyone wants to chop, they are taxed a portion of the profits. If another gang comes along and is unhappy, lets say another southside gang comes up and both GBK and them cant come to a peaceful agreement on the tax, then the other gang can choose to contest the areas to chop/sell when they want to, and natural conflict RP can take place. Why is conflict RP discouraged so much when script / ic changes should be made to facilitate a healthy conflict RP environment where it not only makes sense, it comes naturally and isnt forced through ruleplaying ("give him demands" "did he hands you?"). This also means that newer crims are able to interact with these gangs in a healthier way or choose to "rebel" and try to get their way without paying tax (more RP ops). What I explained above is just some ideas and im not saying they are flawless but it is a different way to think about thinks and would obviously require A LOT more though into it and possibly would mean changes to how drops work (which idm changing as well")
  18. I mean IRL you could have a bad interaction with this guy and then next time u see him ur like "oh thats the dickhead that did X and Y" so i dont really think its that big of an issue, especially because this is a video game. But i think aliasing something as a badge number for example is NRP.
  19. I have seen crims in a 4 stacked Schafter V12 thats armored so i think thats cap. I had to make sure that it was armored so I used control + x and sure enough it said Schafter V12 (Armored)

    The Syndicate

id suggest changing the font to something readable but cool thread
  21. I have run NVE and confirm what Harvey said. This is very much not the default version of NVE.
  22. easy fix. u must have keys to the vehicle
  23. This! I have been saying this for some time now to others in SD and also on the forums. Why are we still using /fl to spawn shit?? It should already be spawned in as item in our lockers/armory where we can just take it out when needed and report any damages/stolen shit to be investigated, putting more responsibilty to LEOs. The script wouldnt even be too difficult as I think it might be able to piiggy back off the evidence locker script etc. Also taking care of cruisers, meaning that they need to be refilled and fixed. I mean when a civ/crim parks his vehicle and unparks it, the tire status, fuel, and damage are saved, so I dont see why this shouldnt apply to LEOs. They should be forced to fix their own cruisers (not paying for it but it would be paid through department treasury) and refilling the cruiser too. Also want to note that this will also add a lot of RP/interactions between LEOs and civs/crims as they would park up at LSC/Bayview, talk with people there and give mechanics some rp as well. A few weeks back during open juro I damaged my cruiser after a pursuit so instead of goign all the way back to Sandy I drove into LSC and got a repair. I interacted with a bunch of people there and had some fun during that short period instead of sitting in my cruiser for hours.
  24. Everything that @Jett_J talked about is great. It is a BIG +1 from me. We shouldnt be buying our shit, this is a government job not a personal one, but we should be maintaining the shit we are given from the department, such as cruisers and weapons. The idea of /fl being used at any cruiser at any time is just not very good imo. We should have the ability to place extra weapons, kevlar, and ammo in the trunk of the vehicle in a secure compartment (which could even be made scriptly breakable but can sound an alarm and give us a ping on the vehicle) where extra equipment can be placed. This makes it so that we need to go back to the station and restock after a shootout etc. The state of PD/SD isnt too bad rn but there is a lot of very good things brought up by Jett which I really think should be considered. I would like to note that crims make a lot more money that legal jobs if u do it right . I dont want to go into too much detail for metagaming reasons but I have calculated profits of popular criminal activities and the minimum is 20k+/hr for doing any criminal activity, with the lowest amount u can make coming from ATMs. Therefore, I see plenty of ways to make money as a crim that make at minimum 5 times more than a legal job.

    Cops 2 OP

I didnt want to get involved in this discussion but I just wanted to say that PD's IA division is effective and I personally have done a couple of IA reports (OOC ones) and the responses from MrSilky were positive and I didnt feel like they got "thrown out". Although one of the reports was denied (with a good reason), the other went through and I believe some action was taken to improve the department, and I would like to note that the one that went through was against a very high ranking officer in PD. So the argument that they are bias or dont do anything is simply incorrect, they act on IA reports that are not petty and that can actually improve the department.
