As someone who has documented the size of all trunks, volume and numbers of all vehicles, I know this would not take just an hour and agree there are other things to spend the time on. Trunk volume was originally set base on vehicle class with very few outliers. It was the best solution at the time it was implemented, yep, there was a time we didn't have vehicle storage. If I find some time, I will expand my data and propose it, then configure it so it could be easily implemented if approved.

While I don't support full automation and I offer ideas of some, I also support the less or.. what we have here/now or easier improvements. Indicate lot and put the buzz/call into the MDC queue. It doesn't matter who it is, officers miss things, because they deal with a flood of information all the time. Putting things into a 'duty queue' is better than just slapping into chat randomly.

https://gov.eclipse-rp.net/viewtopic.php?t=105513#GC05 GC05 - Misuse of Government Public Safety Radio Frequencies or Hotlines Any person who disrupts, impedes, or otherwise interferes with transmission over a public safety radio frequency, or improperly uses a government hotline that is intended for emergency assistance, for non-emergency-related situations. --- It used to be a Misdemeanor, so it has been improved. It really depends on how it's translated and how long you've been there or how many times you've pressed the buzzer. If you arrive and call it in without buzzing, sure, it makes some sense, because you're calling instead of using the intended buzzer. However, the Citation does not say you can't use it for non-emergency uses nor does the hotline indicate it is for 'emergency use only'. If a system needs improvement in the eyes of a user, humans find ways to improve it to their benefit, in ways that work, whether intended or not. --- A simple first step solution I just thought of, pertaining to this, could be, when you press the 'buzzer', it generates an MDC call, instead of a chat line notification officers miss all the time.

Less time it takes an officer the better. One good practice is to be ready. Don't go, if you don't have a license. Always good to have those tickets paid off, may not be required, but you could get arrested for late tickets, which would start you over. Have your ID ready to show, and know exactly what car you want, and it's plate. ( /vehiclestats ). Have an extra donut to uh.. share with the officer, yeah...
-
Part 1 There are ways to get out of it, be creative! Most officers from what I have observed, do consider other possibilities, however, depending on what they already may know, which could be a lot more than you think, they could have the justification to search you and find illicit items. Part 2 There are internal policies surrounding realism in Kevlar and Vehicle deployment. I do agree that if you damage your vehicle, you keep driving it, despite it now always pulling to the left, you hop into another cruiser driven by another officer, or you leave the pursuit. Swapping out should only happen in certain circumstances where you would actually switch a vehicle depending on the encounter. I could see the deployment of a cruiser having a cooldown depending on the damage/condition it was returned with, but it shouldn't be so much to be detrimental to RP, with reduced manpower. Just like there would/should be hundreds of thousands of people, there would be a lot more officers as well.

This has been suggested multiple times already and has been turned down / not implemented. Officers do need to be involved in some way, and you shouldn't be arrested for making a non-emergency call as officers can mediate priority on their own as they do with all calls. One solution could be implementing a lightly automated / remote, but involved request system like calls, through the MDC. Player requests the car they want and how they want it delivered (parking/impound). With a cooldown of 15 minutes, that way a player can't request multiple vehicles at once, or rerequest the same multiple times. Law Enforcement MDC gets a 'call' with license information and a [Release] / [Deny] button. Requests expire after 15min, like calls have an expiration. On Release, the booth at impound informs the owner of the success (they must be at impound for the release to process). If denied, it will not inform the player, but will instead still remain in a 'pending' state, allowing the officers time to engage with or call the player if needed. The vehicle is delivered to the nearest parking lot, or impound spawn. When LEO aren't on duty at the 15min expiration time, full automation would take affect. The difference being that it 'auto accepts' it based on very strict requirements. This being active license held, 24 hours after prison time, and no outstanding tickets. Else it just denies it, allowing you to request again.

The housing auction is not a good price point to base pricing on, its an opportunity for citizens to grab the unique places they've been looking for. Houses would normally go for about 100k-300k per garage and dependent on property surrounding it. I have a place next to Atomic for sale with some property. "14 Jamestown St."

Hmm.. I can see how that can be complicated, however, if you and your friends own a large majority you should be able to place furniture in that 'pie' of space you would have. True the amount of space isn't very much, but the more you own, the larger it could grow. Real hotel practices / politics allow you personal items outside and within the confines of your wall to wall space, as long as it doesn't constitute a hazard and the hotel isn't responsible for said items. Not saying to ignore or question staff on this but could be a discussion. I'm sure they have good reason and want to equally keep it fair to others who would own property there as well, but I do believe there should be some compromise / options. You own the property you should be able to dress it up a little to your liking, within reason. That's one of the major components of owning property. May just take some determination and negotiation, could even be IC, how many properties are there? If you and your friends owned the entire building, I'd think you'd be able to do anything with it.

I haven't seen them yet, but I like the idea of reducing junk as it often reduces rendering demands. Also reducing junk allows you to place your own junk, without junk that you can't move, in the way. Now if we can get an increase for exterior furniture again...

Time Served Or Some Sort Of Alternative To Increase RP With LEO or MD
Xoza replied to XeV's topic in Discussions
I do like Cyrus idea, could use some modifications like police cuffs being a stat that would indicate 'detainment'; however.. even that could be abused. I believe spending some time in prison/jail is necessary and you shouldn't be able to whittle away your time doing RP outside of it. There should be equal opportunity both outside and inside, so your character gets that experience. Jail/Prison also provides the 'soft NLR' your character would experience where it would be 'equal to the specified amount of time'. Also, while I agree its a game and these offer expansive opportunities. Just because you're detained or you spend a few 'nights' in jail, doesn't mean a judge is going to sentence you lighter on account of holding or for a heavier charge. -
This is still an issue and continues to be abused.

There's absolutely an opportunity to do that, but a gang is operating as a group, not a single individual. If the group continues to 'fight back' and participate in criminal activity, the suppression will continue. When a group is 'wiped' and the activities die down, the suppression could as well.

Greetings, As many of you know, I main a Law Enforcement Officer. I am not speaking on behalf of any department, only expressing opinion from my experience and knowledge of emergency response. ---- I have seen and been part of multiple incidents and investigations that confirm the involvement of specific individuals or groups who were involved in killing or 'wiping' groups. Simply because everyone is dead, doesn't mean there isn't evidence or someone didn't witness it. I and many others have been a pivotal source of that information. Any witnesses out of sight, including law enforcement in air or observing from afar, body cameras, and even officers giving any sort of details over the radio beforehand can provide information to who is involved and is common practice. You would have to kill all witnesses and clean up the scene completely, and still hope someone didn't relay information before they were shot down, to 'get away with it'. Information is an extremely powerful asset to law enforcement and could be to criminal as well. ---- As long as the gang exists, there will be a record, just like there's a record on a person. The response with suppression, reinforces the evidence that police is primarily a responsive unit. Increased crime leads to increased response. Gang Suppression doesn't just all of a sudden come into play from nowhere, it requires weeks of incidents and information. The higher the threat, the quicker it happens. If you keep poking a bear, it's not just going to sit there. Is suppression demoralizing? Sure, but that's the intent, to suppress continued criminal or hostile behavior. Suppression itself isn't hostile, more a, you have angered the bear and they're checking to see if you are going to continue to do so, even after hostilities, or time in the Department of "Corrections". With that said, if anything, NLR could be more from the criminal element side. I wouldn't say enforced, but more self imposed. You wouldn't shoot up Police go to jail, where they are supposed to rehabilitate and correct your behavior, then come out, right to shooting cops again. At that point, I'd think a bit of FearRP could play a part as a caution, simply in not wanting to get caught again for a while and enjoy some freedom. But that doesn't mean you can't have your fun and do illegal activities, more that they should more covert. There are many ways to change an outcome, adapt to a situation or alter the course of events. I'm not telling you how to play your character, and yes, it's a game, but there's a huge goal in part of realism, especially in law enforcement to a degree that there are several things even I disagree with. Every action results in consequence, even for LEOs. There are several active criminal elements that aren't being suppressed. You have to ask yourself, what are they doing right, or wrong? ---- Most of the conflict encounters surrounding reason have always been "you don't have a reason to do this", whether it be amount of units, or simply detaining or arresting someone. Law enforcement doesn't really do something without a reason and just because you're not aware of it, or don't like it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. It's all part of the roleplay as well as it's discretion or caution. The penal code is publicly available and anyone can view or conclude hundreds of possible reasons an LEO may be engaging with you. As it stands now, I believe there are plenty of criminal activities that go unseen or unpunished and encourage anyone to count them. There are always several concerns surrounding Law Enforcement action against others and I'm with you that certain things shouldn't happen, or should happen less, but this is also equally the case for criminal elements. Could it be better? Sure! But this has to come from both sides. I'm in support of more criminal RP and opportunities and have made more suggestions surrounding civilian and criminal RP then law enforcement. Despite seeing accusations as exaggerated and honestly not seeing it much first hand myself, or simply being blind to it with my difference of opinion and possible bias, doesn't mean they don't happen or shouldn't. I'm absolutely open to the improvement of RP for everyone, including criminal play and open to further discussion, explanation and viewing of evidence of these concerns which would be shared with our leadership as it should be with any concern surrounding behavior of our faction. ---- In the end, Law Enforcement is not just another gang. You are literally fighting the governing/policing body of the state of which you reside, which rarely ends well for anyone. With so many involved there will be a win mentality, but there will be plenty of RP opportunity within, surrounding, and after if your open to it and let it happen naturally. At this point everyone simply needs to weigh it and decide for yourself the direction you or your group want to go, and how adapt and best handle each situation. TLDR Version

There are a few items of clothing that don't portray as a mask, that still work as masks and hide IDs. The earpiece is one of these items, and I believe there is the default new player mask and one or two others that work the same way.

While I like this idea it's not that realistic. Maybe for calls, but not for texting, especially not for emergency calls. And phone booths barely exist these days.

Speaking as a citizen and business owner. Despite your claims or attempt to twist perceptions, you do not represent myself, nor my interests. If I want something done, I know how to get it done, despite position, speed bumps or citizen status, outside of terrorism. Even then, some things are just not possible. Is the government perfect? Absolutely not. Am I upset with the new directives? Absolutely. I've likely been impacted more than most. But I'll find solutions that are fitting. Individuals like yourself will always be at the bottom, outside of the 'system' and always under the 'egos' of others. You will never hold any kind of power over this state and it's citizens in any way, be it through, manipulation, coercion or threats. You want to make a change, you work with those with the ability in a way that works for all. The only way to get anywhere is to work with the right people, the right way. What you're doing is just more reason and suspicion for the government to put more pressure on businesses and all citizens as a whole. Nice job for making it worse. There's more to the government then Langley, and many more tiers that would prove your goals unreachable. You're the reason government, law enforcement, policies and penal codes exist. You only further the need weed out individuals like yourself from a respectable and orderly society.

Greetings @IIlllIllIl, The demands you are making will take time to complete and we remain concerned about the safety and well being of Matthew Burns. You seem like you have a good idea of what you're asking and I'm sure you understand expecting an instant resolution to your demands is unrealistic. The government and law enforcement have all attempted contact of various forms and have not been able to connect with you for further negotiation or work out a way with you to find a solution to your demands and the many details each would have. Please offer an option to allow us to better connect with you. Thanks. - Xoza Shadow Los Santos Police Department

Aww I want to see all the new trees! Also, trees cause very little FPS impact, especially if they are game assets already in game. Yes, more assets do equal the need to render, but they shouldn't be that much. We need a little variation / change to our environment!
