    Chopshop Campers

    yo bro sorry to tell you this, its gonna be hard for you to hear so sit down. if you don't comply with our demands, if you drive off and circle us calling us camping faggots while we're chopping cars, if you run away while we have a gun pointed at you, you can be shot at. we told you several times to get out of our car, with our guns/bats drawn, and you circled back several times. its not considered dm, and you can be shot at. Examples, when you can attack another player: 3.3. If they refuse to comply with your demands after being given a reasonable amount of warnings;

nigga huhhhhh? we only had 2 cars to chop up (that doesn't take 3 hours), then you and your boy came around,we told you to get out of our car and put your hands up so you drove off, your boy broke fear rp and started to shoot at us after we had a gun on him, and you got your engine stalled. you're literally committing a crime at the place you want an NCZ to be, don't be ridiculous. if you don't want to be robbed don't steal cars and go to the one spot where they're sold off for money.

lol you were the 2nd person we attacked, and we were there chopping cars for like 45 minutes, not 3 hours.

yo dog we told you to get out of our car, then you drove off and came back a few minutes later and called us "camping faggots" several time over IC chat. then we asked you to get out with your hands up with a gun drawn at you and you drove off again. so we shot you, that's not dm, and there's no way the chopshop should be a ncz because you are literally committing a crime by bringing a stolen car to be stripped and sold for parts, if you don't want to be robbed/shot at, don't steal a car and bring it to where stolen cars get sold.
  5. Name tags have been changed and made better, this change was implemented, this can be locked.
  6. word, this was a feature before we moved clients a few weeks ago... it'd be sick if they brought it back. +1
  7. lol your whole point disagreeing with the suggestion is that we don't RP we just shoot cops, completely missing the point of the post so I'm not really sure if your lack of support means anything considering you missed the whole point and started to take jabs at me and Phil.
  8. Don't know how you all could have missed the point so much, I even restated it at the end to make sure people wouldn't miss it. I already stated that cops are at a disadvantage and that's why they should have armor, the problem is that some police treat it as double health so I think reducing it for police officers would be a good change. Here's the thought process in my head, and tell me if you disagree. Is it realistic for cops to have kevlar vests? Yes Should regular cops have the same amount of body protection as the SWAT team? No Do some cops on the server use their double health as an opportunity to go into a situation that IRL they maybe wouldn't? Yes So the thought was to reduce armor so that cops don't feel invincible in a gun fight. Do you think that's a fair point? Instead of taking shots at me and Phil on a server suggestion why don't you all make server suggestions of your own to try and better the environment of the server, and not use my thread to try and take jabs at us. ty
  9. Exactly, I tried to word it best I could but that's worded perfectly.
  10. Problem: I'm not sure if it's an implemented rule or not, but I think it should be common knowledge that when an admin pauses RP they should inform all parties when it's been paused and when it's been resumed. Today we were involved in an RP that got paused, however half the players were unaware that it was paused leading to people being shot at and downed when it's supposed to be paused. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZCIdzeQnhU In that video you can see that a cop rolls into a paused RP situation and puts people at very low HP, this is not the cops fault because he didn't know it was paused. You can see how this can be a problem, if only some people know rp is paused, players can down others, or kill them and gain an advantage, like our group did when we didn't know it was paused. Solution: Admins should inform all parties related to the RP that the rp has been paused, and resumed.
  11. Problem: Right now I think that PD (unintentionally) abuse their kevlar. They may run into near unwinnable situations and come out on top, just because they use their kevlar as having double health. Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZCIdzeQnhU Why it's a problem: If you skip to 15s in that video, You'll see a cop walk into an alley where there are 4 people with ak's and pistols pointed staring down at him and you'll see him still fight and try to take them out. The cop didn't know that RP was paused (I'm making another server suggestion about this) which was not his fault at all. But when we were all informed RP was resumed (@1:18 in the video) he proceeded to climb up to where the 4 people with the AK's and pistols aimed at him, and tried to gun them down. In real life, would this be reasonable? Would even the bravest cop in the world, casually climb up a ladder to 4 people with guns firing at him. Would he even be able to make it up the ladder IRL? He then proceeded to fight and when he realized he was about to die he ran off, which is good, however, he shouldn't have even been up there in the first place. He had back up on the way, but they weren't in the alley and fighting with him. My solution: If he didn't have 2 health bars, do you think that cop would have fought those 4 people with AK's and pistols, let alone climb up a ladder in front of them to try and finish them off? I really doubt it, that's why I'm proposing that regular officer's kevlar get reduced to 50%, while SWAT remains at 100%. Cops should definitely have kevlar, as they are often out numbered and would tend to die much more often without it (which is a bad thing). However, I don't think that regular officer's should have 2 health bars, because it can lead to situations like the one in the video, where they think that they are invulnerable. SWAT should remain with 100% kevlar because they wear more protective gear then regular officers, and thus should have more protection with kevlar. Again, let me reiterate that cops should definitely still have kevlar, without it they would be severely handicapped and cops would die much more often and more criminals would over run the city. I'm just merely suggesting that they should have reduced kevlar, unless they are in SWAT. Thanks. PS: I'm not angry or upset with the cop for doing this, cops should be braver and take risks to save the city however I think this was a little ridiculous and could have been RP'd a bit better
  12. Problem: As it stands right now you can see people's health bars and name tags from a far distance and through walls, this is a detriment to the server for anyone trying to be sneaky/stealthy. This not only leads to metagaming positions, but eliminates any sort of advantage you may gain from having a surprise element. Evidence for what I mean: https://gyazo.com/c22051844789d49dea3f8e725af6ce5f Why it's a problem: From that picture you can see that there are 2 name tags that are a 3 story drop away from me, and through a roof. They can see my name tag and can call out my position even though they may not be aware that I'm up there ICly, they can see the name tag and can call out my position. If the name tags weren't visible, neither of us would have known about each others positions, and could have maybe changed the outcome to the ensuing gun fight. I'm not saying that people are purposely looking to metagame name tags, and I'm definitely trying to call anybody out on it, because I think everyone does it right now. I'm simply saying that since it's possible to see name tags through walls and over a long distance, not a lot of people will put themselves at a disadvantage and try to ignore it, they'll just go along with it since it's a mechanic on the server. Solution: I'm proposing that anytime that a player is crouched using the (c), or hidden behind cover (q), that the name tag disappears. I'm also proposing that the view distance get maybe reduced by a 1/3rd or maybe even a half, you can see name tags from so far away, it's ridiculous. I believe that with these changes, it will elevate the servers RP and serve to be more realistic for the server. Thanks.
  13. some ideas off the top that probably wouldn't work but i think would be fun some sort of laser tag. - maybe with tasers lol. dodgeball, if we can get balls to work. or snowball fight (although the winter season just past) the problem is coming up with something fun, that's in the spirit of RP also. Like not something that's super unrealistic... events that we've had in the past are good, maybe make them recurring like once or twice a month, things like hunting or scavenger hunts and all that. Concerts are a cool idea, maybe a weekly gathering at bahama mamas or vanilla unicorn where everyone can interact with each other. Beach parties too.
  14. the problem is that most cars and motorcycles aren't made for stunt jumps. if you ramped your warrener 30 feet down a cliff when it hits the ground the warrener's internal and external components could be completely destroyed. If you had a stunt bike, then you could make big jumps because they're made to withstand jumps. It's not a matter of skills of the driver that make it fail rp, its a matter of it being unrealistic for a car to survive a mega jump and continue on like nothing happened that make it fail rp.
  15. I think the system of handing out bans to players without any forums report needs to change. If the offense is not straight up blatant it makes sense to deal with these reports in an open forum where everyone can have there side of the story and its not just from one persons perspective. This is in essence is what a report is for, so people can understand what errors they have made and if applicable present evidence to counter the accuser. In the long run this will save the time of the admin team by limiting appeals and discussions and help educate the player base on what is acceptable and not acceptable should the report be followed through on. Currently admins can suspend or ban players without hearing their point of view. This is a bad thing because players are forced to sit out a suspension when they potentially have done nothing wrong. If it is found that they have done nothing wrong, the admin charges are voided but the player must wait out most, if not all of the suspension because appeals take days to review and by that time the suspension could be over. The change that I'm proposing is that in all (except blatant, intentional rule breaks) reports that result in a suspension or ban, the reporting party must post a forum report, and the parties being reported must be given ample opportunity to defend their side. Reports that are not on the forums, do not educate the player base on what may or may not be acceptable, and help no one. Thanks for reading.

    Impound

there has already been an implemented impound at pd effective in the past few days apparently.. you weren't aware of it as a cop? that's strange, we weren't told about it either, seems like no one was informed.
  17. +1000, gives loan companies more business, gives a more realistic vibe to the server. great idea
  18. yo it was this way for a while but then the rule got changed without anyone being informed.
  19. good man hope to see you back once in a while when rage drops.
  20. @WoogeTV literally owns this house and we tried to rp therapy but nobody wanted to do it.
  21. I believe it is a script error that the double-t has an option to put turbo on it for 35,000$ however it doesn't do anything when you apply it to the bike and is just a generic option that's there for all vehicles
  22. It'd be nice to actually sneak up or hide from somebody without them seeing white letters over your head. I think if you do /anim crouch or /anim down, your name tag should disappear until you leave the animation.
