I can support this. +1 In the mean time, folks should look at incorporating /do windows are down (or up) into their roleplay. That way we can show their is demand for a feature like this.
-
I've mentioned in the past so I'll just quote myself: This was taken from this thread, and the post is still something I stand by it. We either need a rule in place to stop people from chain robbing people or a cooldown on the /frisk command (or both could work).
-
I've seen the way most of y'all drive, if you drive like an ass I imagine the last thing your character is thinking about doing is putting their seat belts on. The only thing adding this would accomplish is folks have little to no fear when driving around like idiots. I don't think a PD officer telling me I haven't got my seat belt on because I forgot to input an OOC command is exactly fair, I'd actually argue that could be a form of powergaming.

@TommyV actually made a good thread in August of last year about changing drugs, and I think the community would be best served with focusing discussion in that one thread instead of several.
-
Sooo what exactly is triggering people to be labeled AFK in the system you purposed?
-
I think this is the only realistic change I could see being implemented, and even with that possibility I don't think there is any real difference between this and having to walk forward a couple of steps. I'd honestly say a popup box / menu in some cases would actually be more intrusive to ones roleplay than what the current system offers.

Further development with fishing sounds great, I think there is a lot of great ideas in this thread than could really enhance the fishing experience for the better.+1 I've no problem with getting robbed, but if members of factions (both official and unofficial) want me to take them seriously, they really need to assess whether they want to remembered as the group that partook in petty crimes, or remembered as the group that really elevated the quality of roleplay on this server.
-
I think the faction section on the forums should have a sub-forum in which all current and future information regarding factions would be posted. This would help with finding official faction information threads, as folks wouldn't have to go through pinned official faction threads and can instead go straight to the sub-forum for the information they are looking for.

Gas Station attendants are a thing of the past in most of the world, and quite frankly I'd rather gas stations didn't turn into the impound where players have to make bleets for them to get their cars filled up. If it got people to do less grinding and more RPing then I can support a small bump in pay, however, I'm somewhat doubting that people would actually stop grinding. Are you trying propose a faction member limit? Because I think there could certainly be discussion about it, but trying to propose it without really putting a reason for it ain't really great. (And just to note, according to the panel the LSPD at current has 94 members, and LSC has 34 members. I think 90 PD members versus the 200 people in non-legal factions seems pretty fair to me). I can support that, but I think there should be restrictions on its use. maybe it can only be used by members of official factions? I think putting restriction on its use for official factions and adding a timer so that it comes loose after X amount of time.

Custom phone numbers - I'm not very well versed in the current perks for being a VIP / Donator so if this is already a feature please disregard this comment.

I can get behind reworking the NLR rule and looking at having a CK system. +1 from me.

Can someone help me understand what actually happens to drugs when they are sold to the drop-off? Are they just sold to nobody and go into the void or are they somehow reintroduced? If they go into the void I can't really say I support a similar situation for weapons.

These experiences aren’t out of the norm for me, they were standard on old sa-mp servers and it’s unfortunate they seems to have carried over to VRP. I really hope even with these frustrating experiences you’ll stick RPing here, it’s never nice seeing new people to roleplay getting discouraged because of a few assholes. I don’t think more police officers are the necessarily answer. According to the server panel, the PD currently has 88 members and they still are actively recruiting. Maybe the issue is the illegal factions are just seemingly more active than their legal counterparts. You've also got to consider the size of the map, the police is focusing far more on crime in Los Santos than they are the rest of the state (which is understandable, other than the drug lords not much else is going on up north. I’ve no problem with begin robbed when making drugs, it comes with the territory. The biggest problem for me (similar with your opinion) is that I feel like I’m often rushed to give a response or they’ll put a bullet in my head. I’m grateful that the developers added the notification above players head to let other know that they are typing, I do believe that this is helped quell the issue to some degree. I am with you regarding “/do success?” nonsense – I wish some players were a little more creative with their roleplay (although on former sa-mp server I used to play, it was MUCH worse. It was as basic as S/F? lol). New players with this sort of behavior is understandable, but when its coming from folks with hundreds of hours then not so much. Report away my friend. Using expensive cars to ram into other vehicles is considered non-roleplay behavior, its one of the examples given in the rule book. Again, report away! “Forceful roleplay, that does not give the other player a chance to roleplay their own response is considered powergaming.” – straight out the rule book. You could always mention to the player that they are breaking server rules and you’ll report them if they don’t change course. Like you said earlier in your post, often times it feels like gang’s de-facto run the city. Not sure where you are from OP, but a lot of the time for some of us NA players the server is usually below 100 players at our optimal playing time so the city feels like it has even less law enforcement.

I think I'm on the fence on the core suggestion of OOC classes, but that's simply down to the logistical challenges I see arising from such an event. I'm definitely all for more tools being available for new players in need of help, rather it be because they have question about a current RP scenario they are in or they just have question about clarifying a rule or how X command works.
-
Honestly at first, I wasn’t going to endorse this suggestion, but I think with some heavy restrictions the addition of some planes is somewhat viable. I cannot support the idea of a multi engine luxury jets being added to the server, I don’t see the server currently or ever being at a level of maturity needed for these to be added to the server. I’d also consider cutting the Western Duster from the list, I’m not seeing anyone currently playing on the server that needs an agricultural aircraft.

It's been suggested twice before, one of them was shot down with the other been put in December. First Thread: Second Thread: I'm against the idea for it to be done by phones, but a general /transfer command that is used within the bank itself by one of the players is a massive +1 from me. I'm honestly not sure why anyone would be against it, this was a pretty standard feature on most SA-MP servers, not sure why V:RP servers shouldn't be the same.
-
Yeah, I'm sorry but this isn't something I can put my support behind. It tips the scale from a server that is trying to be somewhat heavy role-play into a territory that just isn't fun. I agree that something has to be done about the high amounts of non-rp driving, but this ain't it. From my point of view I see this doing more damage to the server than bring about positive change.

+1 seems like a simple enough suggestion that I imagine only requires placing down a housing marker. I'd be eternally grateful if some of the more rural houses were added in as It'd be a better fit for my character.

The price of vehicle ownership. As of rather now, the only cost of owning a vehicle is the purchase of said vehicle and the future refuel costs of it. This suggestion is an attempt to make vehicle ownership more than just that. Vehicle Registration: Vehicles would need to be registered after their purchase. Registration prices could be set on an individual level based on the price of the car, or possibly the category of vehicle (working vehicles could cost less?). Vehicles without registration would be considered illegal to drive in which case the driver would be fined and the vehicle impounded. Vehicle Maintenance: @F@therOsborn's comment from my original thread articulates this far better than I ever could. Insurance: This one follows quite nicely into the above suggestion: Vehicle maintenance could be party or fully be covered if the owner has insurance. Insurance would also be legally required to drive a vehicle. (Criminal offenses can be discussed here, so high-ranking PD members feel free to chime in!) Aaaaaand that's all she wrote from me. If anyone has any further suggestions or improvements to the initial suggestion feel free to leave a comment!

I'm not trying to suggest we introduce some sort of complex tax system, but I feel like things like paid vehicle registration not only goes into quelling the luxury car population, but adds a new interesting dynamic of roleplay between the PD and everyone else.

I've got nothing against people wanting nice / fast cars, but I'm of the opinion that living such a lavish life should have it's own drawbacks.
