  3. While I think this is a good idea, I also think it could be an EXTREMELY bad idea. There are so many tables and vents and just labs overall owned by players that adding something like that would severely mess up the criminal economy. While I agree something like that should be added, I look at both sides of it. If something like that is added there would be probably be damn near 100 Million or more in cash that just gets thrown into the economy. There's multiple 100+ table labs on the server and that's 700k in import price tables alone. 48 tables labs would give back $636,000 for the entire lab. There's a lot of players on the server that own labs or just have a stash of tables or something wanting to setup a lab. I think it'd be a good idea but I just think it would fuck up the economy pretty badly for a small amount of time with the amount of money that would just be generated at the snap of your fingers.
  4. I agree completely, with private labs being nerfed to the point of unusable, people are actually out doing other things to attempt to get the money they would've from private labs. It's nice to be able to actually find people to interact with and people not just cooped up in their property for an hour or something doing a cook, selling it, then logging off for the day.
  5. Date and time (provide timezone): Any Character name: Theo Valentine Issue/bug you are reporting: VIP doesn't reduce time on any charge after you've been /prison'd Expected behavior: VIP reduces the time on all charges no matter what. Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Give yourself charges, /prison yourself then add a charge to yourself after you've been /prison'd. So if you're given murder before /prison it should go from 60 minutes to 45 minutes. If you're given it after you've been /prison'd you get the full 60 minutes even if you have VIP.
  6. In my opinion, the private lab nerfs aren't terrible. Obviously, everyone was complaining at first because it was a major update but I think the overall thought process behind it was a good idea. I'll use OTF since it's the gang I'm in personally. We have over 30 people and probably 10+ of them had 48 table labs and we were producing around 2,000 or so drugs every other day or something like that. I'm sorry but that's highly unrealistic to be doing. There are plenty of other groups/people that do the same thing and have these massive 50+ table labs and were able to produce so many drugs so quickly they were practically playing crim on arcade mode. I personally think that they should just completely disable private labs at this point and allow people to sell their tables & vents at the pawnshop for import pricing so they can at least get some of their money back. Private labs are dead, you cannot run a private lab anymore with how long watering tables and refilling water bottles takes, it takes wayyyy too long to be worth it. I agree with what Jett is saying too, as much as we joke about it and like the bridge to the island being the "wilderness ditch" that's quite literally what it is. The island is a PvP simulator, I have been playing criminal roleplay for about 9 months total now, I joined the server end of June and started off with criminal roleplay, in that time I have been part of numerous gangs. I have had more large-scale gang shootouts on the island since it was made a drug lab, then I did in the entire 9 months of roleplay. There needs to be some sort of change to make it where the island isn't just a PvP fest. The change I think would be good, would be adding more public labs with the same or even more tables then the island. Give right-lake multiple LSD/Marijuana tables instead of just Ecstasy Tables, add more tables into LSD ( if possible), give Sealabs and North Labs their tables back, and add a few more public labs to rival island. If you make other labs that are just as good as Island it will hopefully spread the PvP out so that it's not just a warzone. Overall, I like the idea that devs were trying to go for. Private Labs were basically just afk hermit fests where you just go cook a batch of 250 real quick come out and sell it and then boom there's 150k. I like that devs are trying to turn the server to be more player interactive, but with the mentality of players right now, it just wasn't executed properly. Like everyone's saying, labs are a demands or die fest. You can't have a normal conversation with people without one of you pulling a gun, when you see someone pulling into a lab your first thought is "lets rob them". It's just the current mentality of players and I think if that gets addressed, then the nerfs will be able to seen properly.
  7. The title of this post is simple enough. What I propose is that when selling drugs to your factions dealers they have more effect on the dealer and increase his influence more. With the recent updates to the criminal side of the server, specifically with labs, drugs are 10x harder to come by. It doesn't make sense to have drugs be harder to get, but still produce the same influence. From what I remember when I last sold drugs, I dropped 50 Marijuana ( Blunts ) on a dealer and was given like 3.08 influence or something like that. I know personally with the new update some gangs had to drop multiple turfs because it was impossible to produce enough drugs to hold them without private labs. So I propose that you just make drugs worth more to dealers to balance it out a little. I'm not talking about a major buff to it where you can just hold drug turfs easily and not have to work for it. But as of right now if you want to get the number of drugs you need to hold your turfs you have to go hold a lab whether it's Island, Garbage, LSD, etc, for hours. To do that you need to bring out multiple heavies and pray to god you don't get pushed by the numerous gangs active on the server right now. So I think if you just buff the amount of influence drugs sell for by a small amount, maybe 20-30% to match the price increase on them it would be better for gangs. It would still be a "grind" to hold turfs but it wouldn't seem like you need to hold labs 24/7 to make the amount of drugs you need.
  8. With all respect my man, we've been waiting long enough. We were told soon in September of last year, then at the start of 2023 we were told by the end of January. It's practically April and we still have yet to see ANY updates on it, no sneak peak pictures, no "hey we're having some development issues with it", nothing. The ability to import attachments was removed for a gun update that was supposed to come out "soon". We clearly don't have the gun update and it doesn't look like we're going to for a while so let us import attachments then just /refundattachments them when/if the update is ever released
  9. +1 Seems like an easy enough thing to do. Only problem I could see is you just randomly seeing players disconnect that you have no interaction with and that can get quite annoying.
  10. -1 I personally think no vehicles should even be in the "bitcoin" store. It honestly ruins the experience of roleplay to just say "fuck it" drop $100 and buy a meta vehicle. This is something that I did on both of my criminal characters and I honestly regret it, I wish I would've went through the effort of building up my wealth and spending actual IC cash on vehicles instead of OOC cash.
  11. +/- 1 +1 Because I would love to be able to just whip out a tool kit and repair my car because I am one shitty driver. -1 Because it would basically turn everyone in the server into a mechanic. Everyone would just magically know how to fix their car which doesn't make total sense. I like the idea of having to go through the college to get a "skill" to be able to do it but it would just require so much hassle to do. Also it would basically completely remove LSC & Bayviews /mechanic feature which just completely cuts out a whole division at LSC and just gets rid of part of their roleplay.
  12. Cool idea but -1 My only question is, how much of a different would Burgershot becoming an "Official Faction" really have on it. IMO I think the impact would be so minimal it wouldn't be worth it. We already see that as of right now, everyone prefers to go to OTFs store as it's quicker and cheaper. You simply show up type in "Hen Meat" then "Y" and boom you have a piece of meat for even cheaper then Burgershot, you don't have to wait for someone to make it or anything. I also think making it an "Official Faction" would limit how accessible it is to people. Would New Players still be able to show up and just work there or would you have to apply and have it as your main job. I just don't think there's enough reason for it to become Official. Also like Bala said, I don't think it has enough legs to stand as an official faction.
  13. -1 With the recent criminal updates focused on labs and completely nerfing private labs into the ground, money as a crim is 10x harder to get. Before the nerf there was already a major discrepency between "Legal Money" and "Crim Money". Legals already have it way easier then crims when it comes to making and saving money, making it even easier for legals honestly makes 0 sense to me. I get the point of the post but I know plenty of legals that have 5+ MILLION dollars just sitting in their bank accounts or salaries. For criminals you'd have to have been playing the server for months religiously or even years to have that much in your bank at one time.
  14. +1 Would be a cool idea, maybe just a "notification" system on the phone that shows in the top left corner of the app if you have any unread messages or missed calls. Something similar to iPhone notifications IRL where if you have 1 unread text there's a little red 1 on the top of the app.
  15. -1 Cool idea for realism but just wouldn't work on ECRP. Like Bill said nobody wants to sit around waiting for a call to be assigned. The current call system is fine IMO and could only use some minor tweaks such as Scripted Calls giving locations. A "dispatcher" would just be a waste of resources for devs to create, I highly doubt anyone would even apply for the job if it came out as well.
  16. +1 Seems like an easy enough fix to go into the code and just change the 3 to a 7.
  17. ABSOLUTELY MAJOR +1 COMMON CHASE W To put it simply, prison is the worst thing on the server right now. No offense to the wonderful people of the DOC faction as a lot of them try their hardest to make it enjoyable for inmates with the very limited things you can do, there's just not enough roleplay opportunities within it. You can run around mindlessly for hours attempting to scrounge up any piece of litter and laundry to make a little bit of money but then you have some random running up to you going "run me your stamps" and if you don't they start attacking you. I think lowering the max time from 5 hours to 3 or even 2 hours would be greatly beneficial to the server as a whole. There are plenty of benefits that would come out of this. People would actually serve their times ICly instead of ((TABBED OUT)) playing another game or watching Netflix/Youtube People wouldn't care as much about going to DOC which would make their moods better which would improve RP for everyone around them It would create more roleplay not only within the prison with people actually running around interacting with people, it would also create more roleplay outside of DOC with less people just sitting inside DOC ((TABBED OUT)) For the statements about VIP, +1. If I'm spending $10-$50 to get VIP I expect the perks to always work. What's stopping PD or SD from just abusing this mechanism and waiting until after you're /prison'd just to make you spend more time in DOC because they dislike you. It should either be if you forget to add the charge it shouldn't be added after you've been /prison'd or your VIP should reduce the time as it'd added. In my opinion, I wish the Devs would hard-focus on a DOC update. DOC is by far one of the worst OFFICIAL GOVERNMENT FACTIONS when it comes to script support. It would be cool and I think everyone crim & legal would love to see a DOC overhaul to make it bearable. People like @Chunder @JWIT1_ @KimeyBear101 do their best to try and make DOC fun for the inmates with the limited script support, but I just don't see it maintainable without a major update to DOC. Please just focus on a DOC overhaul to make it more fun and have people actually interact with each other.
  18. The title is pretty self-explanatory. The ability to import illegal weapon attachments was removed September 4th, 2022. This was in preparation for a weapon update that was supposed to be done in the near future. This obviously has not happened yet. It has been 6 months since weapon attachments have been "disabled" and we have yet to see any progress or updates on the gun update. The last update we received was in the start of January where it was said the gun update would be done by the end of the month. This obviously has not happened yet either. What I propose is that weapon attachments are re-enabled. There is already the /refundattachments command that can be used. I'm pretty sure I speak for most of the crim population in saying we all want attachments back. It is so annoying and painful to have other gangs/cops show up to shootouts because everyones shooting unsuppressed. I genuinely don't see why weapon attachments can't be re-enabled until the new update is released, then people just /refundattachments once it's released. Give me your thoughts on what you think below.
  19. +/- 1 I see both sides to this thread, as of right now I don't really see any issues with weapon pricing. The amount of money that circulates through the crim world right now, is just assinine. If you lower the prices you're going to see massive shootouts between groups fully kitted up with 100 APs, AKs, Pumps, etc. This would turn the server into an absolute warzone and I don't think it'd be good. There's also the issue of if people are more geared, taking on fights with LEO is gonna seem like more of a viable option. This is obviously not something the Devs or staff team want. As crims we should be trying to avoid LEOs to the best of our ability and I think if you lower the prices people will roll around more geared and take fights with LEOs when they don't need to. I think we just wait until the weapon update, give it a month or 2 with the update and see what happens.
  20. +1 I see no reason as to why there can't be a script that checks your license and unimpounds your vehicle if you're good. I know there's the argument of it cutting out RP, but I just don't see that as a thing. The RP of the impound lot is /license [ID], what car ?, insert car name, /impoundrelease [LICENSEPLATE], have a good day. It's not super interesting RP and it just pisses people off when they have to wait over 20 minutes for an officer to come.
  21. +/- 1 I disagree with the initial thread about completely disabled weazel ads, sorry but it's just dumb. Weazel ads are some of the only "RP" Weazel employees really get. It's practically the point of the faction, being able to disable them is basically just cutting off an entire faction. I do agree with being able to resize the chat box to be bigger/smaller, I think this would be a great change that I'd love.
  22. +1 Please, I beg you devs to add this. Getting 2-3 shot by punches or kicks is dumb and should be changed.
  23. +1 It's annoying and dumb as hell with the people that just go into the laundry room and take yours hoping you fight them. I just want to do laundry in peace.
  24. HUUUGE +1 I see no reason why something like this couldn't be implemented. I have imported multiple cars across my different characters and wish I could refund multiple of them as I just either don't play the character or regret buying the vehicle. Would be amazing to see something like this added.
  25. +/- 1 I have played both LEO and Crim and I see BOTH sides of this argument. I agree there needs to be some change but I don't think a cap on LEO factions is the right one. I don't really know any other ideas but I think the main point Chase is trying to make here is that wayyyy too many cops respond to situations and/or pursuits. I have seen it from both ends having 8+ Scouts or normal units, a bike unit, a high speed unit, and a helicopter for one pursuit. I feel there needs to be some change in this. The sole amount of cops that can respond to some situations make it where there is NO option for crims to do anything but just go to prison. IMO, I agree with Rocky that a soft-cap could be good, an example of one could be like when there's 200 people on the server, there can be a MAX of like 30 on-duty LEOs between SD and PD ( Obviously not an exact number or anything just a suggestion ). This would make it where you're still able to avoid cops and don't have 100 units to your traffic stop for running a red light. That's all I gotta say, I just think there needs to be some limits on LEO factions, just not sure limiting their player count is what needs to happen.
