  1. +/- 1 I have played both LEO and Crim and I see BOTH sides of this argument. I agree there needs to be some change but I don't think a cap on LEO factions is the right one. I don't really know any other ideas but I think the main point Chase is trying to make here is that wayyyy too many cops respond to situations and/or pursuits. I have seen it from both ends having 8+ Scouts or normal units, a bike unit, a high speed unit, and a helicopter for one pursuit. I feel there needs to be some change in this. The sole amount of cops that can respond to some situations make it where there is NO option for crims to do anything but just go to prison. IMO, I agree with Rocky that a soft-cap could be good, an example of one could be like when there's 200 people on the server, there can be a MAX of like 30 on-duty LEOs between SD and PD ( Obviously not an exact number or anything just a suggestion ). This would make it where you're still able to avoid cops and don't have 100 units to your traffic stop for running a red light. That's all I gotta say, I just think there needs to be some limits on LEO factions, just not sure limiting their player count is what needs to happen.

    Hi

    bye buddy
  3. +1 This is actually already a thing you're able to do. You just have to have proof of RP to show to the cops or whoever you're interacting with. It's the same thing with licenses, you can RP not having it if you do RP and have proof of that as to why you wouldn't have it or if it'd be hidden. The potential for stuff you could do is infinite if you do it properly!
  4. The background of this post is pretty simple. What RP sense does it make for a criminal to go around snitching and going out of their way to snitch on people without a proper reason. I see absolutely 0 reason why it makes RP sense for a criminal to snitch on other criminals unless they have a really good reason.
  5. i too concur with skeletee and senior moderator alexalex303, This would just turn the radio into just esports mode. ”Pushing chop, 3 here, 1 down, im down” ” he’s looting me he’s looting me he’s looting me, 3 on my body 3 on my body, Push right push right, they have pump and ap, they’re mid” It just makes sense to not be able to use your radio while downed for that reason.

    Hi

I too side with Jay Valentine, I have no involvement in any FFA matches that may or may not happen at Little Tokyo
  7. Why are you using the example of getting stopped and arrested because the cop could see your gun. That’s just you not making good IC decisions to carry an illegal firearm in front of a cop. It’s a very easily avoidable situation
  8. +/- 1 -1 - There's plenty of clothing options that make the guns hard / impossible to see, just wear them and Devs have more important things we'd all rather them work on +1 - Would be a cool system to see but I just don't see the point RN.
  9. yea, I'll post it at Paleto HE for 325k
  10. Suspension is maxed and it just has a random plate
  11. I'll do 325k
  12. CONTACT - 251-6826 to work out a deal.
  13. -1, Not because I think it’s a bad idea, I just don’t see the point. Yes this would be a cool addition but my question is, Why have devs work on this change instead of their other projects? The devs right now have at least 3 big update projects they’re working on that have been shown, clothing, drugs, guns, and also banking and who knows what else they’re working on privately. They also have a plethora of stuff suggested by factions that need DEV support to introduce. I just don’t see the point of the devs working out a whole system like this when they have way more important things to handle. I think this would be a good idea just not worth the amount of time and effort to implement when there’s more important matters.
  14. you have to click on the tab that says information and then you're able to buy a house location. It's a weird bug that happens, just click down on the information tab and then they un-grey out

  16. HELLO ! I AM GOING TO BE MAKE A SMALL UPDATE AS THE MESSAGE OF THIS THREAD HAS WENT WAYYYY OFF-TOPIC I am not saying these things need to be completely NERFED as they shouldn't but they NEED a small tweak. I have 2 main characters I play, 1 criminal and 1 who's a member of SD. I've spoken to a PLETHORA of different LEO / DOC / LEGAL characters in general and they all have stated they've experienced the same thing. Their is a MAJOR ISSUE with the jobs right now, and that issue is people GETTING ARRESTED just to go make money. The amount of issues LEO's have been having of "Cop-Baiting" is just insane. We'll have people that continuously speed past us in attempt to get us into a pursuit just so they can go to DOC. We have people just doing basic stuff like failure to comply and resisting and then just doing more like battery so they can go to DOC. DOC is no longer an IC Punishment for people, it's just a "Money Simulator". That is what I'm saying needs changed. There's 2 different things I think should happen. 1. Lower spawn rates - Make all the drops such as Litter / Laundry just spawn a little less so the amount of money is reduced. You'll still have stuff to do you just won't be making 30+k an hour. 2. Lower the sell prices - Just make the stuff sell for a little bit less, Instead of selling 6 Laundry for 1350 stamps or whatever make it like 850 or 800 or just something so you're not getting paid like 10+k for 5ish minutes of work. THE POINT OF THIS IS NOT JUST NERF IT INTO THE GROUND BUT TO HAVE SMALL TWEAKS SO IT'S NOT OVERPOWERED, I KNOW A LOT OF PEOPLE AGREE THAT PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE TRYING TO GET ARRESTED JUST SO THEY CAN GO MAKE MONEY AT DOC, WHEN IT REACHES THAT POINT IT'S COMPLETELY BROKEN AND UNACCEPTABLE, THAT'S WHAT NEEDS TO BE NERFED.
  17. !! I'll just start this out by saying that I know a majority of people are gonna heavily disagree with the statement I'm about to make and this is just a personal opinion !! So recently as everyone knows DOC received an "overhaul" of new features including 2 new jobs, Groundskeeping & Laundry. Now I'll say I absolutely love the fact these things are so broken, but god it is TOO OP in my opinion. I was at DOC for roughly 60 or so minutes on my criminal character and for roughly 45 of those minutes I was just doing the jobs, picking up litter and washing laundry. I made roughly 13k stamps by the end of it. Now for those of you who don't know every 1 stamp is $3. So in less then an hour I made around 40k. This is absolutely ridiculous that working in a prison makes you more money then working roadcrew or even having a legal job. It's to the point where I've genuinely been considered just going and evading and then farming the prison jobs as they make that much money. Now I know this is gonna be heavily downvoted as everyone loves money including me, but I think it's just ridiculous that you can make this much money picking up some litter and washing some clothes. If there's no "tweak" to it, it's just gonna turn into people evading and committing enough crime to go to DOC just so they can farm the jobs and make money as I bet if it was later in the night and there wasn't as many people in DOC I could easily make 60k+ an hour with the jobs. THE SUGGESTION Change stamps to transfer into $2 per stamp or just simple lower the amount of stamps you make with the jobs by like 10 or so % as making 3k for 30 seconds of work is just ridiculous in my mind. PLEASE REFRAIN FROM JUST SAYING +1 OR -1 AND GIVE A REASON AS TO WHY YOU AGREE OR DISAGREE WITH THE SUGGESTION, I WOULD LIKE TO KEEP THIS THREAD POSITIVE AND JUST FOCUSED ON HOW BROKEN AND HOW MUCH MONEY YOU MAKE FROM THE JOBS.
  18. -1 Its been said in multiple threads before, cops aren’t difficult kill. Most of the members from Division 6 will say the same thing as they’ll kill 10+ cops all on one scene. Its a simple reason why the armor is like that, shooting PD shouldn’t be viable or a thing you want to do. It’s like this so people don’t just go around shooting PD/SD every situation. Sure I agree maybe bump it down a little bit, but with crims in 99% of situations having the “tactical advantage” they want to have high AP so it’s not just shootouts 24/7. That’s all, the armor isn’t bad as everyone makes it out to be and moans about, quit shooting cops and actually roleplay for once.
  19. I’ve been playing the server religiously for the past 7 or so months and have played both Crim, LEO, and DOC. LEO PARTS 1. Armor, I myself am personally in SED which is SD’s SWAT team and personally have seen my armor not be OP at all in many situations. Id like to first state fighting is not everything in the server but, as of right now SD has been getting fucking rolled by D6 to the point our armor isn’t as big of a thing as people are saying. We don’t just “win” every fight and we honestly lose more then most crims actually think. The second part of this is the fact that realistically SWAT and SED are going to win 90% of situations. IRL wise criminals are SCARED of them and won’t take fights as these are specialized and tactical groups who are meant to just shut the shit down that they’re doing. 2. NonRP - I actually really like this and agree with it, LEOs shouldn’t be able to just respawn a cruiser with a pursuit at least. They should have to wait until the pursuit is over if they want to respawn their cruiser. I only disageee with having to pay for them as realistically, they’re government funded and you’re not paying out of pocket for your cruiser. In my opinion, as long as it’s not during a pursuit you should be able to get a new cruiser because personally I’ll get a small scratch on my cruise and just go get a new one because I dislike the look of a small scratch. 3. Charge Stacking - This is something that even I get confused. There’s 2 completely definitions of this based on crim v LEO, for crims it just means you get charged based on what you do and you get every charge you committed, THIS IS ALLOWED, if you commit the crime expect to do the time for it, don’t commit a crime you can’t suffer the consequences of. For LEO it is adding charges they didn’t commit to make them spend more time in jail, THIS ISNT ALLOWED ANS THERE ARE RULES ON IT. These things are regulated and watched by Supervisors+ for SD wise. CRIM PARTS GUNS - While I agree, I also disagree. Like Jett said crims have WAYYY too much money nowadays. I know there are a plethora of crims who have 1-2+ mil just sitting in there bank or other crims with 10+ mil in assets and cash and other crims who have armories worth a couple mil. I agree with they should be lowered but i’d honestly be worried to see what it does to the server. If it gets lowered too much EVERY situation with LEOs turns into just a shootout because every crim has heavies and it just would get old so quickly. On the other hand, A pump shotgun with ammo is roughly 25-30k. Let’s say you just do roadcrew to make money, that’s roughly 3-5 hours of work, Bayview that’s like 5-6 hours of work. I agree they should be lowered slightly but just worried about what it could do to the actual RP of the server. 2. Fines - These I once again agree and disagree with. I think personally instead of raising or lowered fines/prison times. Just focus on DOC reform and making more RP opportunities inside. Working there for a while I know people like Chunder try to create RP for inmates as much as possible but it’s hard with such a lack of script features inside. I think prison times could be lowered for some things or the charge system could be changed a little with some charges that people constantly get tweaked a little like make Evading a 45 minute charge instead of 60 or split the illegal firearm charge to like a .50 is 30 minutes and then a heavy is 60. Small things like that could help to try and balance it out to but right now it’s not terrible in my eyes. The time and fines match good with the crimes but just the lack of RP inside makes it worse. Mentality - Id say the mentality thing is 50/50. There’s 2 different types of players and depending on what you are detirmined what you see. If you get on to ROLEPLAY and have fun, you have a 70+% chance of having good experiences with everyone especially LEOs. It’s the bare minimum but when someone is showing us good rp with /mes and /dos and are treating us realistically, everyone loves it. We’ll have laughs and they have chances of just being let off light with tickets or a potential arrest because they were just being fun. This is the one thing I really hope everyone on the server can take into account and just improve on in the server. Just small things of RP really make a difference, for example during a traffic stop instead of just doing /license get some RP in and make it fun for us. /me would appear extremely nervous. /me slowly reaches into his pocket and pulls out a black leather wallet /me opens the wallet and removes a San Andreas Drivers license and holds it out the window offering it to the cop / deputy Thia may seem like small things but when I tell you LEOs specifically love this I mean it. Even other small things like BLS RP, show really good and high level RP and there’s a really good chance you have an actual chance to just die as most LEOs will try to match the RP. For example instead of like /me inspects the man for any injuries it’s be like /me pops open the trunk id the cruiser and pulls out the BLS bag slinging it around his shoulder /me sets the BLS kit down next to the injured man and kneels down overlooking the man from head to toe attempting to find any injuries then instead of like /do would find a broken right leg you do /me would have black and purple bruising all across her/his right leg, about halfway down the right shin it would appear snapped in half with a compound fracture. Stuff like that is so small but it’s something ever LEO loves and will take the time to provide you quality RP back and it just overall improves your chance of having good RP and not having to deal with the “play to win” mentality. Overall, I feel like a lot of the issues spoken about in this post could be fixed if people just logged in to RP and not to just min-max the amount of money they could make or to clap. Last thing, get rid of the stupid [ECRP] Claptages on youtube. They’re such a stupid thing that create a clap and terrible mindset for crim.
  20. -1 Attachments should be back by the end of the month. You can survive a few more weeks.
  21. I would also like to add an issue I found very similar to this, One time I was writing an arrest report for an individual with a Pistol .50 and I typed in the serial number in the MDC to see if it was illegal and the serial number for a Pistol .50 was coming back for a micro smg. It was typed in multiple times by different people al with the same results. Felt like this was worth adding on in this bug report as it’s similar.
  22. looking great jinxsterr
  23. HEY! So I’ll just touch on a few things for the individual that made this thread and other commenting on it. I am a member of SED which is SDs SWAT basically. 1. 7-9/10 you are going to and should lose to SED and SWAT. The point of these divisions in these departments is that the individuals in them are highly trained, have the best weaponry, and have the best armor. The whole point is they’re meant to give an advantage. You are supposed to lose against these groups and that’s what happens a majority of the time. As seen in this clip SED and SWAT do lose a decent amount but overall they win more because they should. They’re highly trained and have better weaponry to win and stop/neutralize situations. 2. SED and SWAT Armor I can’t speak for METRO here but SED has 150 AP and 200 AP. The 200 AP is RARELY worn and must be completely RP’d putting on. (If you see someone not RPing it report it). We will normally always wear 150 AP unless we have the time to RPly pull out our bag, unstrap our normal kevlar, put the new kevlar on. As seen in the video as well, our kevlar does not make us invincible. We do have people that die a lot from gunfights because we are not invincible as some people may think. Overall, well some people make the argument “It’s a game it shouldn’t be realistic” it’s also a roleplay server. The whole point of SWAT and SED is for a tactical advantage in situations, you just aren’t supposed to be winning against these people. I will add 2 things for the end as well. 1. I have both a crim and an LEO character who is in SED so I can fully understand both sides. On my crim I have personally never dealt with SWAT or SED because in simple terms I don’t play like a dumbass on him. The main people I always see complaining are ones that play like idiots starting shit with cops all the time. P.S. If you didn’t know YES cops remember past experiences with you and that results in how they treat you. 2. Internally I know there’s a lot of people that want change with SED and METRO. There’s people inside these groups that want change to happen and are trying to make changes happen to make them “less op” in people’s eyes. Thats all I gotta say hope this can clarify some peoples ideas of these groups. If anyone has any questions about it I’d love to answer them.
