  1. I think it's fair to say that right now there's a mechanic issue, whenever I go to LSC I'm lucky to even find a mechanic on-duty and while Bayview does have some mechanics, it's really not a whole lot that I see actively playing. This results in us having to wait a very long time to get vehicles repaired at the shop due to it normally being 1 or so mechanic doing all the work and also insanely long wait times to get mechanic requests answered. This comes to my suggestion, adding some either item that allows us to use it and it repairs our car to 300 so we can drive it carefully to the mechanics and get it repaired, or change the script and make it vehicles get slower and slower and backfire more the closer you to get 0 and upon getting to 0 they can't drive anymore. I have personally spent a pretty decent amount of money on the server to buy credit vehicles and other such things. It's to the point where the cars I've spent $100+ on, are unusable because no mechanics are responding to mech requests and they're perma stalled. It's so annoying that I'm completely unable to drive my Corsita which costed around $70-90, my Jugular which costed around $70-90, and my Shinobi which was the same price because mechanics just won't respond to mechanic requests. Along with that if you end up leaving your car somewhere, there's a ridiculously high chance it gets stolen and by the time you get it backed it's perma stalled because the person was a shit driver and/or they just kicked it down to 0 to be a troll. The literal only solution that their currently is for this problem (campfiring your car) is considered NRP, and while I'm not disagreeing with the fact that it's NRP. I think there needs to be some viable solution figured out for this problem.
  2. average bala w, SED and Metro should be upgraded to 400 AP and the average cop should walk around in 200 AP. The police must be feared
  3. From what I know, this is perfectly allowed and the correct way to do it. If you’re interested in going about this route of roleplay you should message staff and figure out what to do, this isn’t just allowed for anyone tho, you need lots of detailed RP, lore, and backstory going into it for them to allow it. Staff can correct me if I’m wrong but from knowledge you can get permission to do a full character kill if you’ve constantly showcased high quality RP and have a full good backstory and everything to it.
  4. -1 With the new weapon update everything is EXTREMELY cheap, as of right now LEOs are constantly in situations where we're arresting people with heavies weapons like Special Carbines, Pump Shotguns, AKs, etc. Those weapons can absolutely MELT people with 200 AP when used correctly. Additionally, while crims do not have a real "advantage" they have the advantage of being able to be the initiatiors. In probably 90% of situations, the criminals will be the ones that have the ability to shoot first due to SD & PD internal policies. This is a major advantage and when criminals will actually use their brains and use this advantage, it can work in their advantage and make them "win" the situations. This has been shown numerous times where PD & SD get wiped and/or lose the suspects when they fire shots first and use this advantage. Along with that, the average "skill level" when it comes to shooting from your member of PD/SD to the crims is a pretty big gap. When crims will use their brains and properly setup and not just go at with the plan of "Fuck it I'm getting arrested lets shoot at them" they can take out multiple units with a simple Suppressed .50. I've been in numerous shootouts when I've had access 200 AP and had it on as well as situations where I've had on the standard 100 AP. I've gotten absolutely melted in all of these. The average criminals will pull out better "strategies" then LEOs 9 times out of 10 making the 200 AP they have essentially useless. The clip that was posted is a VERY POOR example to try and get 200 AP changed. You had an active warrant and we were on a Warrant Hunt which is one of the few cases that SED 200 AP is authorized, most times they're in 150 AP which is standard and makes sense for a highly trained tactical unit to be using. You decided to back yourself up into a corner with 5 different deputies on you, all with AT LEAST 100 AP and Heavy Weapons. All of the complaints that come from 200 AP is because you put yourself into a stupid situation you had 0% chance of winning and then decided to blame it on "200 AP". TL;DR ; Use your brains, stop going into situations and just deciding to shoot because you're going to get arrested. Use your brain and plan out setups and the perfect time to shoot and you'll see that 200 AP isn't as big of a deal as you make it out to be.
  5. My suggestion isn’t to remove IA reports for criminals, there are very much times where i believe it’s acceptable. I’m talking about the times where the IA reports are clearly petty, for example you get yelled at by a cop so you’re IA reporting as a criminal. For your last point about factions and them taking IC consequences if found doing so, my post isn’t about them. It ls more about the factions where it’s against the lore, the leader/HC know about it yet they continue to allow it to happen. Those are the situations that I think FM should step in for.
  6. Hello all! This is something that has been discussed quite a bit and I wanted to bring a forum post regarding it. I’ll preface this by saying that not all criminals are guilty of doing this, I will also attempt to keep specific names and situations out of this post. THE PROBLEM The current problem is that we have people who are considered “serious” crims that will consistently IA report LEOs off of some really petty shit. This is people in official criminal factions and people in non official criminal factions. We will have people that get into multi occupied vehicles with heavies, evade from LEO, then shoot at us and then go cry to IA after shooting and attempting to kill deputies. In my opinion I think this should entirely be considered NRP. IA should be used for solely serious situations in major breaches of LEO IC rules, not for you getting called an idiot, retard, etc. This leads to my suggested solution on this issue. THE SOLUTION I think that both the LSPD and LSSD staff members should work with Faction Management to start identifying these extremely petty IA reports that are coming in from criminals and start throwing them out and then working with their respective faction leaders to ensure that their lore is being followed. In my opinion it makes zero sense that these people who are in “gangs” that are constantly involved in the trafficking of firearms and drugs, murder of individuals, etc. To go to IA and report an officer for extremely petty shit. This is just my opinion with an actual suggested solution attached with a problem that is getting more and more out of hand every single day.
  7. Hello all! I'm pretty sure I speak for everyone who has ever played with an LEO character on this server that there's 1 MAJOR flaw with laptops. The "destroy" feature. CURRENTLY - When you click the destroy feature it auto destroys without an interaction timer or any way to cancel this. This results in LEOs constantly accidentally destroying laptops and having to go spend 7-8k just to go buy a new one. My suggestion is pretty simple, just add an action timer to this feature. So when you click destroy a 10 second action timer pops up that would allow you to cancel this. This would be an amazing QOL feature that would prevent us from having to spend 7-8k on a new laptop because we accidentally missclicked hitting destroy instead of drop.
  8. Hello, I have a character who is a Corporal at DOC so I feel like I'm able to give a good response to this suggestion. There is a limit that we have based on internal policy (Not sure if I can really say the limit due to it being internal DOC policy), this limit is pretty stritcly followed by everyone within DOC and only people who have been in the faction for multiple months and have reached the rank of Supervisor can break this policy and put people in for over the limit, this is also RARELY done unless you're being an absolute pain in the ass. Overall we try to avoid putting people in solitary due to the fact that a lot of us agree it can completely cut off RP for someone and we try to save it as a last resort ICly for that reason. If you get put into solitary just know you either really fucked up or really pissed someone off. Also would like to say this is more of an IC thing that as much as you might feel like it does has no OOC things relating to it.
  9. 251 - 6826 if you have one and are looking to sell
  10. Raids are IC, just because someones losing some stuff they grinded for doesn't mean it's OOC. The server is called Eclipse Roleplay not Eclipse Asset Grind. Like I said at the top, raids are IC and can generate numerous amounts of roleplay for those involved. Raids aren't something that happen at a snap of your fingers, they have to go through multiple processes before it can even be discussed and planned, just because you don't actively see the RP because it's happening behind closed doors, doesn't mean it's not there, raids generate roleplay for so many different parties. For example, DB/SIB - They're actively doing the investigations for the raids to happen, could take hours and hours of actual playing time to gather all the evidence they need. Then they have to organize all that which is even longer, then they gotta submit the warrant and ensure all the evidence that's gathered is actually VALID. This is hours of roleplay and work for them that isn't seen by the public. METRO/SED - They actively assist in the raids, if there's safes they get to actually put their EOD training into use, they do the breaching and scene security. That's actively giving them RP. GOB Units - While they don't always get to partake in them, they have the chance to go and help block off roads and just do some general LEO RP that's different from there standard roleplay. The individual getting raided - While they may lose motivation, they could turn this into a whole slew of RP opportunities for themselves, especially when it's a member of for example CSB or Rooks. They could take what happened and actively turn it into high-quality roleplay that can then be posted on the forums to showcase their factions. Just because they lost some stuff doesn't mean it's the end of the world. ESPECIALLY when it comes to the fact guns are dirt fucking cheap now. Crims, especially the big ones recently have so much money it's ridiculous. You can make 20ish thousand dollars every 15 or so minutes with cooking, potentially even more. Along with that, you have a whole slew of potential revenge/hunting RP that your faction/group could go into. Attempting to hunt down and kidnap or kill the detective that went above and beyond to have your house raided, that's providing more and more RP. I think that these raids are just being so over exaggerated as to what's causing the decline of crim rp. I just don't see how something that is affecting such a niche amount of people is "killing" the servers crim population. Everyone that has stopped playing crim all have their own reasons for it. I personally think that the current decline of crim RP is something that should be discussed by the people who are considered the "leaders" of the criminal community and staff to identify what are the common issues and fix them. There's a lot more damaging things happening that are making people leave the server then some PD/SD raids that are happening that don't affect them in the slightest. All in all, just learn to be smarter with your weapons, why do you need a gun stash worth $800,000, the chance that you go through $800,000 worth of guns is so low. Be smarter, sell guns buy other houses to spread your stashes out. The players that have been getting raided are loaded with cash and guns, keeping that much in 1 place is asking to get raided. I think people just got too comfortable since PD/SD did very little raids until recently and it caused them to get lazy with how they handle their weapons. It takes a total of 13 seconds (If you're slow) to put a heavy, a .50, AP, etc into a bag and then put it on your back. Just be smarter and more careful.
  11. I shall bring fourth a suggestion that would fix this issue. Labs = KOS Zones Need I say more, if you’re allowed to shoot anyone in labs there will be no more DM Reports. The problem has been solved plz implement admins
  12. Okay, so as of right now Prison Break perms require you to get permission before you get put into the situation. While I understand why this rule is in place. I want to suggest the changing of this rule. The change is very simple. Remove this rule and allow prison break perms to be given once the situation starts. I would love for a staff member to respond to this and explain why this couldn't be changed if it can't but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be able. I feel like this rule should be changed for the major reason of, you can't plan a situation to give you a chance for Prison Break, they just happen. It's extremely hard to plan it and it's a moment of opportunity type thing if you get a knife or something inside.
  13. I already get fucked by game wardens on red dead, not tryn get fucked on Eclipse too. Also too complicated and too much script/legal work for a freelance job. It’s hunting people want to just go get in their truck, grab their knives and bags, and do some hunting. Not have to look up all of the regulations in regards to it. For fishing, it’s used as a social mechanic. People go to the pier and fish to get social interactions and RP with people, I don’t see a need to add regulations on it.
  14. I'm very 50/50 about this post, I agree with what Peter said, stuff is stupidly expensive to the point where I'll drive to multiple stores trying to find a sandwich that is cheaper than $700. I think the cost of CIVILLIAN items should be lowered. So clothes, gloves, sandwiches, gas, etc. Then illegal items should stay the same. Now this is just my opinion but I think there's a real issue concerning gun and illegal goods pricing. Personally and I think a lot of people like me on the server, those who have been playing for 1+ year, can afford guns. I never have an issue of not having money in general or money to afford a gun. The issue comes with "New Players". Guns are considered stupidly expensive for these players and it makes them not want to play and grind to have fun, because it takes them so long to get one. This raises the question of what to do about them, do you raise the price to make it so all of us "Experienced" players don't have ridiculous gun stashes, do you lower it and allow the Experienced players to have insane gun stashes and allow new players to obtain guns to advance their roleplay, or do you just leave it alone even though there's so many complaints. I feel like there's so many different issues regarding the economy and price of things, that it makes it impossible to properly adjust it without the risk of even bigger issues being caused.
  15. Was a great time while it lasted
  16. Because nobody wants to be the person to be known to report every single rulebreak that might happen to them. There is no reason to report if the rulebreak did not genuinely effect your roleplay. Unless it's a major rulebreak such as DSO, Ban Evading, or Cheating. You're not required to report it and have the freedom to make your own decision on it.
  17. -1...Don't worry I'll explain | I'm also prefacing this with I'm gonna try to go into as much detail as I can without MG any knowledge I have from me being a member of the SADOC Faction. I do hope this gets fixed but I'm gonna focus on the main points Kira made. Lockdowns are probably about 75% of the time a reactive thing. People are rarely just thrown in and kept in a cell if they genuinely did not do anything. When people are placed into cells it's always because of either. 1. They did something that warranted it. 2. Someone did something that we need to investigate and putting everyone into cells quickly to establish order needs to happen. There's obviously more to it then that, but that's the basic. This is where I feel the Poor RP Promotion is evident, and I personally feel it's on the side of the inmates. I've been at DOC for a little over a month, and I can't think of 1 single time where we attempted to put people into cells/lockdown where everyone just went compliantly. Every time people run away, ignore RP, doing RP of resisting, etc etc. This is where I feel the Poor RP Promotion comes from. These people continuously resist in an IC way, we respond ICly putting them into cells due to their resistance along with any other issues they've caused, then we get messages in /pm and /b complaining about our roleplay and how it's anti-rp. I agree that this is an issue and people shouldn't be in their cells for a long time, but the biggest issue with this is it's so on the border of IC and OOC, it's kinda hard to make that change. But on the other hand, what goes into people being put into these cells for so long, is there IC Actions. Seeing as you're a member of UG, I'll use UG as an example. (I'll preface this by saying I really enjoy the RP UG provides at DOC), but, members of UG are very known criminals who are known for attacking guards, starting fights in the cellblock, running, being a general pain in the ass, etc. When you come in and then boom you're already getting into fights or verbal confrontation with people, putting you into a cell to prevent it from escalating is the right IC Course you should take. But I agree that people shouldn't be in their cells for so long because it promotes poor RP and negative RP, but it's so hard to enforce on an OOC Level and IC Level because of the fact it borders both them so hard. LET ME GIVE YOU AN EXAMPLE TO MAKE IT MORE CLEAR WHAT I MEAN So lets say Jerald comes into DOC and he has a 5-hour sentence, he gets processed and boom right off he's out picking fights with inmates and everything, we try to put him into a cell, he resists he runs away, he attacks us, etc. We finally get him into a cell and we leave him in there for 30 minutes and he APPEARS to have calmed down. We let him out and then boom he goes right back to what he was doing, attacking people, picking fights, etc. We put him back into the cell this time for an hour. He shows signs of improvement again so we let him out once again and what does he do, goes right back to attacking people and being a pain in the ass. At that point he has 3 hours left on his sentence and he's been put in his cell and let out twice where's done the same thing that got him put in a cell. If there's an OOC Enforcement on how long someone can spend in a cell, we just have to keep letting him out and letting him attack people and repeating it, even tho his IC Actions show fully he deserves to spend those 3 hours in the cell. I hope this example I gave gives you more understanding of my POV of the situation/problem and why it's so difficult to counter. This is my first time ever hearing about this guideline because it's not listed anywhere or told to anyone.
  18. nah. You could make the tables free and I still wouldn't try to use them with how bad they are
  19. Extremely huge -1 If you cheat on the server and get caught, you’re actively ruining people’s RP with them not having the ability to stop you. Cheating is used to fully give yourself an advantage in a server that you should be focused on RPing, there is no reason for someone who cheated to be allowed back. Now i’ll move into your point about NHTRP and others. NHTRP is from what i’ve seen, a blanket name on bans regarding instances of very subpar RP. OOC Toxicity or calling peoples slurs etc, why yes they’re bad, I fail to see how it’s even close to the level cheating is. Cheating is quite literally breaking GTA 5s Terms and Service while NHTRP and other “IC” rule breaks are exactly that, IC things that they did wrong that broke personal server rules.
  20. So from what I HAVE HEARD (this is not confirmed just whispers from people when asked) This is completely expected behavior regarding house robberies. There's a "Skill" aspect and also a "Random" aspect to it. Meaning that if you fuck up skill wise and send the noise all the way up, the alarm goes off. But also there's a "Random" element to it where the alarm will just randomly go off. If it's really like this I don't know it's just what I heard. If this is actually how it is then I don't have a clue why. It makes no sense for there to be a skill and random aspect to it. It should either be fully skilled with only the alarm going off if you make too much noise, or there should be no noise meter and completely random. Hope maybe @Osvaldon could reply to this giving us an insight into his coding and if this is expected behavior or actually a bug
  21. What he said, GTA Wise supercars like the XA-21, Comet Retro, and even the Drag are 10x better at off-roading then genuine off-road cars because of how the game works. RP Wise tho these vehicles wouldn't be used off-road
