Is cop baiting not against the rules? Im sure that falls somewhere under the line of "Non-RP"

Ultimately this would not just be a bad idea because of things like chases, police or crim what have you. This is also bad because either you have to lower the speed of other vehicles or just have to waste other players' money because some vehicles are bought for their speed advantage, if a crim has 1 car because it can go 240 but their old one can go 210 but the speed cap is put to 200 then the new car they bought is now just a waste of money

Love the response, but not exactly what I was talking about. When they add these changes they've been removing the ability to use commands, you no longer can do /dropbody you have to hit U and hit drop body, this could prove to be a problem in an active pvp scenario where youre trying to save a friend. I would just like to know why commands have been removed alongside the additions is all.

Not really sure where to put this so I guess I'll put it here. This is in no way supposed to be negative, this is simply my POV and if I am wrong then please go about explaining it to me in a healthy and constructive way. I'd like to start out by saying that the U menu is a great addition, its a lot better than explaining different commands to new players in /b where they might not be looking all the time. It happens all the time when they ignore /do or /me rp in chat, simply because they dont know how to do it themselves. Its also harder to explain what these different commands do to a newer player especially if they've never played GTA RP before. So the U menu is a fantastic addition as it not only provides what the command/usage is called, but also what it does in detail so a new player can understand it better. Additionally it also adds a lot of stuff in one area for new players to get accustomed to. Now for the main reason for this post. It feels like the team at ECRP are cooking with this U menu update. Recently it seems they've been pushing for a lot of things to be moved from "/" commands to the U menu even if it proves a little annoying or time consuming. My only question is "Why?" And it sounds kind of rude cause I know people worked on this for some time and I dont fully understand it so I wont pretend to, but I think it would be healthy for the community if we had some context added with every big update, i.E like "patch notes" so to speak. I'm sure theres a reason for pushing the U menu so much I just wish we'd know instead of checking the "Development" channel on discord and seeing the multitude of new things added to the U menu, maybe the list of things AND a note at the end telling us why they're pushing it so hard, or why they're removing commands. Like I said its no way intended to sound like complaining or anything of the sort, I just thought I'd come on here and suggest a little communication. I for one am very appreciative that the dev team has been putting in WORK after the clothing update. After the clothes dropped its been banger after banger after banger. My only complaint is the lack of communication. Thats all, thanks for reading!

There are just so many options that things that need to be done really quickly i.E: Setting new radio binds, turning your phone off, showing your license. They are all so hard to find in these options we NEED atleast to have commands back, its too confusing. +1

+1 as cool as a scaling system sounds, and if the community were in a better state I'd think it was a great idea but the fact of the matter is there are just too many toxic people that run around on the server causing havoc for little to no reason than to just give people a hard time. Because of this WAYYY too many people can be screwed over. Not to mention how easy it is to mess your car up.

I'm not a game dev, or designer in literally anyway. But I like to think that any suggestion is a good one since the bad ones could just be ignored. I feel like currently crim gameplay is very boring/routine. Most gangs roll labs, or chop to make the majority of their money. Sure theres the occasional bank robbery, but other than that most of the time you're going to see your money come from labs. House Robberies are cool, but it would be nice if we added some other solo stuff you can do. I propose some sort of "Cargo Run" Job. It could be similar to civ jobs scriptly, but essentially it would work like house robberies mixed with the go postal job. You would go to a NPC somewhere on the map (more than likely in the Industrial area) where you would buy a contract to transport goods. There could be different tiers aswell, think of it like an upgrade from house robberies, or even just another method. You could make Tier 1 be like 10k the next 15, and so on. You would then have a location marked on your GPS where you would find a van/truck with goods in it. The goods themselves don't really matter that much, but you could say with each tier the luggage is something better. Moonshine, or maybe even illegal gun parts, something like that. You would go to this location but you have a time limit. If you don't reach the location in time, you lose the job and your money. If you do you'll get a substantial reward. You could make it vary, I'd prefer straight up packed cash, but it could also be like packed cash and a vintage pistol or something. A couple of questions I can see being asked that i'll answer ahead of time: Why a time limit?: I think a time limit would make it so it gives the job a sense of urgency that way you are forced to drive faster meaning police or crims could catch onto what youre doing and try to rob you for it, or pull you over and want to investigate the vehicle and then finding the illegal goods. Why pay to get the contract?: Like I said it gives you a sense of urgency so you feel that need to get the job done as optimal as possible. It also means that you can be holding cash to purchase it much like the house robberies it gives the job more risk. I understand there's probably a better way to do it aswell. Like I said before i'm not a game dev nor do I have any experience in development. but I think we should have some more crim stuff to do to keep the gameplay fresh. The devs have been hard at work I mean HELLA stuff has dropped in the past couple months. A problem I see with my pitch is OOC Toxicity/Metagaming Crims could just as easily know what trucks/vans have what and use that to judge if they rob you or not. Maybe you could make it to where you need a certain amount of trunk space, so you can use your car (Just not a super car) But hopefully these ideas if utilized at all could serve as building blocks to something that actual experienced devs can make into a full working crim activity. Thanks for reading I know its long. TLDR: Cargo job that works similarly to house robberies. 1. Buy Contract 2. Go to location retrieve vehicle 3. Make it to a location within a certain timeframe 4. Reward

Be Able to Delete Old Unused Character SLOTS
Jordan replied to TrippyYT's topic in Panel Suggestions
This exactly. I had a couple of ideas for characters i'd use to contribute to an RP scenario. Or just a one off character that would go around doing something fun but then end up being perma killed at the end of it cause I think it would A: promote RP in newer players who are not used to RP, and B: It would help advance pre-existing character arcs in current RP. I have so many character slots I wish I could delete rn. Maybe you could make it to where if you delete the character taking up the slot you delete the slot aswell? It would promote people actually buying the slot in the f6 menu I think. +1 personally. -
Typically the forums say that you're not really meant to give negative comments unless constructive. So I think a down vote would inherently be toxic. I love the idea, because it could make for a good healthy system of criticism however in reality I can see gang posts getting absolutely bombarded by mixing members that have beef icly and taking the beef oocly. Off the top of my head I can already think of a few. As the community currently stands, not a huge fan of this idea.

THIS IS SO COOL I LOVE ORIGINAL IDEAS KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK

Hopefully im not repeating someone else's suggestion, but just like how EMS and PD can drag people into vehicles, allow any player to drag another player so long as they're injured, and put them into a vehicle seat rather than a trunk. Its not good RP to have to have a car with a trunk everytime, when I know it would be more accurate to allow players to put injured people in a car seat instead.

No, because everyone interprets the rule differently, and will do it anyway if they think that they can either convince the admin/mod doing the report, that they didn't know, or simply argue that since it isn't stated they can do it. When you put it IN THE RULES itself, its clearly labeled and listed, and there is absolutely no way to misinterpret the rule, so there is no excuse for doing it. This also means less people getting away with it results in less people doing it at all.
-
And while I'd love to make a report for this daily occurrence, the goal would be to just put it IN THE RULES that way when someone does it I can give them a pm "Hey you cant do that its non rp in the rules" they will either retract that give me my stuff back, or I can submit a quick /report and hope for the best, either way putting it in the rules would discourage it and make it happen less often.

I know this might seem a little unneeded or random, but i've always thought that there could be more civ jobs that encourage more RP to be utilized. for instance, Roadworkers actively impeding traffic maybe annoying sometimes but overall I think it adds to the environment making it feel alive. I think it would be cool if there was a revamp of Paleto burgershot, or a new restaurant introduced: Cluckin' Bell. This would work the same as Burgershot, the only difference being: Location, Uniforms, and Menu Items. Prices would remain the same as burger shot, that way Burgershot and Cluckin' Bell could have this rivalry like Ecola, and Sprunk do in the server right now. Harmless fun that could result in some fun RP aswell as some cool and funny life invader posts.

This doesn't happen period. When people steal they do it in a way that makes it easy for them to escape as to avoid being caught. In a situation where im in my car, no one in their right mind would get into my trunk and run off with my stuff. Because I'd follow them in my vehicle while they're on foot.
