krooks365 Posted September 24, 2020 Report Posted September 24, 2020 This isn't about being sad or being happy. It's about balancing a game and the consequences on both sides of the line. The consequences already are enough in my opinion. And that is why I said this unneeded. Not because I am "sad" but because there are already enough consequences put in against criminal characters. If you think a gang is being too open you have IC avenues to address it so that they have to face those consequences (call the cops) Meanwhile also remember it is a game. Not everything has to make 100% realism sense. It is all about being realistic but also balancing it so that it is playable to all. If you want it to be so punishing to play a Crim that now it is not worth it then people will just stop playing Crim. And everyone forgets that if you had NO criminals in the server oh what a dull place it would be. 2
Andy Mason Posted September 24, 2020 Report Posted September 24, 2020 The idea is great but before this they should bring back crim RP to that level where it requires this type of features. The rules and updates have limited Crim RP to very low level now and there is nothing to gain from Crim RP and PD and SD and law enforcements get over-powered day by day , When Crim RP is buffed to a point where it is realistic , profitable and its worth it to be a criminal then this idea wouldn't seem bad at all. For now -1 as Crim RP is already on the verge of Dying and should be brought back to the level it deserves.
FrankieP Posted September 25, 2020 Report Posted September 25, 2020 i thought being a criminal was what makes you the big money.. u guys are doing it wrong then .. anyway 15percent is a small percentage. it was more where i saw it This argument is extremely reductionist. Im assuming you're speaking from an outside perspective, so I'll tell you this, being a criminal absolutely does not make you big money by nature. A lot of the times criminals will hunt or fish for their income, and even if they attempt to make money via illegal means, there is significant costs (cooking, arms dealing) or risk (chopping, bank robbing etc). The most interesting criminal RP is typically the type that doesn't pay out at all, and I think I speak for most here when I say that playing crim is more about the fun/rp. Additionally, crims typically lose thousands of dollars as a consequence of their gunfights (more often than not, 50k+) due to the cost of heavy weaponr and armour. 15% is most certainly not a small percentage, If someone has 1mil, then they could lose 150k for comitting a crime, for doing what their character is meant to do. Now that doesn't sound fair at all now does it? "it was more where I saw it" refers to another server, on another game (you mentioned samp right?). You have to realise that this is not samp, nor is this any other GTA RP server you've played on. Criminals already get punished enough, they can recevied upwards of 19 hours in jail, even after providing amazing rp for the officers that catch them. Spending multiple hours of your life in a lifeless virtual jail cell is already enough ooc punishment, and I don't think taking away more money from criminals will improve anything. to all you guys saying like oh yea criminals are sad that they get fined for doing crimes .. what did u expect? this is the first server i play that is on the heavy RP side and everyone brag about being in a illegal gang in middle of a crowded area like bank or high end. perhaps keep it more secret so you dont get sad when i give this idea which is logically correct. I tend to agree that it's not good rp for crims to be out in the middle of the street with heavy weaponry, and that gangs should be more elusive in their identity. On the other hand, you have to realise that charges and fines are often excessive. Many officers WILL charge stack you or slap you with the book simply for chatting back at them or getting a little bit cheeky; they HATE it when you do that. This is an idea that would make the server objectively less enjoyable, unless you're an oocly toxic cop that cooms at the idea of putting people in a virtual jail cell for 10 hours of their life. You have to remember that we're all here to have fun, and balance between crim and PD is long overdue 1
Xoza Posted November 3, 2020 Report Posted November 3, 2020 Greetings, Due to the fact these activities already exist and the divisions in the factions that would cover these duties already perform them, in addition to the the underwhelming support, this should be fitting to archive. Thank you for your input, if you have any questions about the Investigations Bureau "IB" (the FIB Cannon which is the FBI equivalent) or the Gangs & Narcotics Division within the Investigations Bureau (the DOA Cannon, which is the DEA RL equivalent). Thanks.
