I've gone through the suggestions posted since Saturday and updated the original post with most of them. I've also added a number of the QOL requests from Law Enforcement as well, some of which have benefits for the rest of the player base.

@Paulius @Osvaldon If you are looking for ideas for development, this list, while considerable is a fantastic indicator of what is on people's minds.

While new features are great, players like the existing features too but sometimes they just need that little extra bit added or tweaked to make them even better.

This list is excellent, but also extensive. perhaps if we wanted to put to votes what the community felt were the most important issues we could better prioritise.

Yeah I can’t wait for all the crims to want all the crim changes and the cops to want all the cop changes. Democracy doesn’t work.

It’s just a list of things, a big list. Hopefully they’ll look at it and pick some stuff off it and do it. Half the stuff effects everyone anyway.

Maybe do top 5 crim changes and top 5 cop changes?

Maybe half and half?

If we can agree that cops need crims to exist and vice versa, dosent it makes sense to crack both sides evenly? I totally get that crims want crim updates and LEOs want LEO updates. thats natural. so lets split the difference and prioritise for both.

Surely you cant be suggesting that one side deserves more attention than another.

You could also just focus more on updates that benefit the server and the roleplay as a whole. For example:

• NPC at impound

• Ability to purchase multiple items at once

• Turn phone into a physical item

• Turn license into a physical item

Theres a lot more examples, but these are the type of updates that would benefit everyone and opens up better oppurtunities for roleplay

License as a physical item isn’t necessarily a simple QoL feature. It would require some balancing imo. But I will forward this thread to the rest of the dev team as it contains a bunch of great and useful ideas.

I'm not suggesting anything beyond suggestions to improve the playing experience for our players. I do not make any kind of decision or have any kind of input into what goes into the server, I wish that I did.

That said, I don't really give a shit if something is a cop suggestion or a criminal suggestion so much as I care whether or not it's balanced and good for the server period.

Shit like purchasing garage spaces with IC money, being able to remove your tattoos, being able to quick store bags in storage furniture, adding a location on the impound buzzer call, allowing eating and drinking in a vehicle, furniture weights, adding a front desk buzzer to the PD, locking vehicles while carrying bodies.

Those examples are non-specific and effect/benefit every single player.
You know why the clothing update is so wanted? Because it benefits EVERYBODY, everyone gains something and no one loses something.

I put a bunch of the PD development requests in here because half of them have been going longer than you have and half of them have no consequence for crims. A different panic colour, call numbers resetting at midnight, area names in the 911 calls. It don't make a difference to you as a crim.

I'm getting kinda fucked off again with the process to be honest, I don't know if this thread will even get looked at but the point is that it should because these are things we know and things we have used a lot. We shouldn't be worrying about which side is getting what or the new and shiny, when half the stuff we have is years old or no longer serves the community or just lacks the amount of care needed to make it special.

Implementing stuff that would be beneficial for everybody is the way to go. A rework of the phone would benefit literally everybody. Cant tell you how many RP scenarios Ive missed because I cant see the time a message was sent.

Stuff that is beneficial for everyone are easy wins and should be priortised over things that are pro-cop or pro-crim. No one complains when their life is made easier do they?

I can ofcourse get behind all of those suggestions. i have a crim, a civ, and an LEO character at this point. i'm just happy the server is getting constant development that all can get behind.

Multiple radio frequencies at once, maybe something like the phone UI where you interact with the radio, can talk on all the different freqs at once, able to mute yourself or deafen a specific frequency.

It would bring interesting rp tho imo. Could physically hide your id, rob someones identity, hand over your id in a traffic stop which a cop could hold onto etc

- Ability to push bikes as you do cars ( I don't believe this is currently possible afaik)

- Add trunks to vehicles which should have them - E.g. Terminus.

- More spots on city high end --> There are more parking spots in that area which are just not in use. Useful to be able to utilise them all, although there may be a reason this is not the case which I am not aware of.

- Drag items on top of each other to stack them

- Drag items outside of the inventory box to drop them (make it only in like green zone that items are dropped)

wxIxRGj.png

- Split items into x amount E.g Right click and have a little box next to split, default set to half of what the stack is however you can edit this to how much you want to split from that stack E.g stack of 100, you wanted 30 out of that stack you would split 30 out of it. If that makes sense xD

Allow for custom tabs in the chat or fix them to be categorized properly. I need to repeat my roleplay lines for my bodycam about 50 times so I can get it without backups or admin or support or whatever chat being spammed inbetween. I have to take a screenshot of my RP per the server and OOC faction rules otherwise I get in trouble ICly for it. Make life easier if it's gonna be restricted by rules.

Rather than trunks been added Id prefer if you could put an injured in one of the seats of a car. Maybe this might change the current meta cars used

That would be awesome. I feel like admin messages should be available on every tab or atleast have a way to not miss them if you are on 'Roleplay' tab.

I am not saying it's a bad idea, just that it requires some balancing and thought into it on both IC and OOC side.

Probably an item you can loot, hand over, frisk but if you die you dont lose it. Maybe a balance for this could be an actual fingerprint scanner so cops dont accidentally give wrong person prison time etc. An item you would have to re-purchase at mission row or sd if you lost it. Obviously theres going to be way more thought needed but ye

I play arma 3 where we have a short range radio and a long range radio, each radio has its main frequency and an alt frequency. having extra radio freq's is definitely useful that you can talk over and listen to.

Give us the ability to edit/change the names of certain items in game.

let us change the names of food items, and drugs, specifically, so encourage and support player to player food businesses and player to player drug businesses. would massively increase RP for player owned restraints and bars, and gangs could have their own strand of weed or meth they sell. etc etc.

Well, something good came from this thread, we got rid of the OOC speed cameras. No more off-duty tickets for me! 😂

I believe my homie from another momie @Thang sent the list of what people came up with the devs.

Furniture

- Add a text input to the furniture store so we can enter a query for example "wall" and we get back a list of items that includes that word.

If the furniture store is made in Javascript, you can make something like this in the script:

furnitureItems = ["wall 2", "wall3"...]

query = wall 2

const items = furnitureItems.filter((item)=>item.includes(query))

Lua should have those type of functions / methods for arrays too.

Chat

- In my opinion, the admin messages should be available in every tab. If I have the rp tab active, I wont be able to see the messages from the admin which is bad imo.
