Eliza Posted June 11, 2024 Report Posted June 11, 2024 (edited) I wouldn't be opposed to removing this rule in situations that involve LEOs, there was recently (1 or 2 weeks-ish ago from posting this) a gunfight at the docks where it was like 20 or 30 criminal players against PD and SD, and LEO still won the shootout. On the other end, I wouldn't mind to introduce the backup rule to apply for LEOs also, no calling opposite LEO faction, DOC, and I’ve even seen GSB on rare occasions, mid shootout or mid situation for backup. It will just bring back the massive zergs era, which did not promote any sort of variety or good roleplay neither between gangs. Faction cap was lowered as well for that reason, there's no point whatsoever in taking a major step back in that direction. I'd be more prone for a rule of 6 like @Clank mentioned. i think it was still better than now imo Quote
Benjamin Berg Posted June 11, 2024 Report Posted June 11, 2024 +1 to the idea of not having the rule for LEO situations Quote
Cup Posted June 11, 2024 Report Posted June 11, 2024 Ill reiterate my previous opinion that it should be ok for criminals to back up other criminals in situations involving law enforcement. (at least to a reasonable extent, Like if your actively at war it would make no sense to help the other group but you get my point) Quote
Zion Willard Posted June 24, 2024 Report Posted June 24, 2024 +1 Backup rule creates tons of confusion as to who can/cant be involved and factions commonly try to find ways to manipulate it to their advantage. Just remove it. Quote
Xoza Posted July 3, 2024 Report Posted July 3, 2024 +/- 1 Having allies is part of RP and can greatly extend RP opportunities and alliances. I support the freedom, but it needs to be done smartly. Maybe a limited amount of support / response, like half or less of your current force, if you have 10, and you need cover, you can call from allies, 5 to help out. We've just witnessed a fight where PD still wins after fighting 2 gangs together so it seems kinda fair This fluxuates a lot, I've seen gangs take out entire groups of officers just as much as officers take out multiple gangs. Really depends on time and day. Quote

On the other hand, I am also in support of adding a rule of 6 to criminal activities. Honestly the way we have it now is such a weird middle ground. You should either have freedom with no limits of group or you should have a hard limit of 6 per criminal activity. There shouldnt be some weird middle ground. That’s fair you should take into account the number of cops for the interaction Quote
