Why not! Get hustling, get networking, who knows what you can accomplish!

Hi! You are correct, there is not currently a FBI division on the server! That does not mean it cannot or will not exist though. However, there is already a government faction, so I recommend starting your enquiry directly with the members of the government (in-game). Joining the government will probably help too. Like any real life job though, you will have to start at the lowest ranks and work your way up to a position to open up a whole new division in the government. Does not mean you cannot start reaching out to the right people about it. Anything is possible within reason and with hard work put into it!

I don’t agree with everything that was said but I do want to give special attention to your point #2 about patience and roleplay! I am in total agreement with you and I also want this message to be as widespread as possible! Take your time to roleplay and emphasis depth in your actions. I genuinely come out of some scenarios feeling exuberantly happy because of the level of roleplay I received from some players. It’s a pleasure to roleplay with the use of actions, words, feelings and immersion. The use of /me’s and /do’s and taking the time to add them. It is frustrating to try and create immersive roleplay when the other person bases their roleplay exclusively through VOIP. And whilst to each their own, I can only encourage people to step out of their comfort zones and give it a go!

I don't agree with a potential mute button for /b. I agree with what has been stated above, /b is very useful as a command when used properly. For example, I am in a meeting and my audio suddenly stops working, I couldn't imagine going through everybody present through pm's to indicate such a thing. In this case, a simple "/b Sorry, my audio has stopped working, can we proceed in text whilst I fix it" is appropriate and the correct response in this situation. If somebody has /b muted, they could continue through the meeting thinking I am just ignoring them and potentially getting reported for something. How are we to know when somebody has muted their /b? In the case of excessive use of /b, words help. Asking somebody politely to either move their conversation to pm's, or to cut /b works. Sometimes it doesn't. And when it doesn't, then stop replying to them. If you cut out of /b chances are the other person will too, since they have nothing to respond to. However, when it doesn't, save your POV and post a report or make an ingame one. That person will receive a punishment for it with actual footage of that person doing it, it just needs to get reported in the first place. I don't often get /b abuse or waterfalls of excessive use of /b (and yet, I used to work at DOC, currently I'm in SD). When I do, yes it is annoying and does distract from important /me's and /do's, but honestly it is not as often as we like to say it is. I don't see /b being an issue, and really when people do abuse it, I can be sure that they will be talked to or punished. A crackdown on the rule is, in my opinion, not needed. I feel that through in-game reports or forum reports, moderators and admins issue the necessary punishments or warnings. It is up to us to make an effort to report in the first place, which I feel we fail more times that not to do.

Margot's new life began on the 27th of September, when she set foot onto American soil at 5:45AM. She landed in Los Santos, with a small briefcase of belongings, and a handful of cash. She felt anxious and afraid, but nothing about the American way of life really scared her. She was afraid of the wait until she could be reunited comfortably with her parents in Paris. In the meantime, she knew she would have to live in a hotel and only go about with the bare minimum of cash, and strictly no contact with her parents or friends. The friends of the family were able to arrange a car for Margot during the flight, much to Margot's relief. However, it was with a sudden and overpowering feeling of grief that she picked up the keys to her new Brioso 300, waiting for her at the marina carpark. After a restless nap, she decided that day to leave her hotel room and visit the city. Never having been somebody to sit back and wait, she was too curious about her surroundings and too energetic to stay cooped in a room all day. She grabbed her coat, her car keys and her phone and drove her Brioso, following the signs to the pier. That day, she met people who would become main characters in her life story. Margot was at the pier, minding her own business and admiring the yacht which was anchored a few miles offshore when a flamboyantly elegant man came to stand next to her. He was very easy to get along with, and they both chatted that morning about anything and everything. He was sassy and fun and loud. You always have that one memory that begins with "if I had never met you, none of this would have happened". Craig was that person. Very quickly, Craig introduced Margot to two very special women. Lola Delavera and Urban Madine. Each of the two women would become very important to Margot. Urban would quickly become Margot's best friend, with whom she continues to share everything, and come to for advice. Lola would be the one to introduce Margot to somebody who would inevitably change everything in Margot's world... It was on the her first day in the city that Margot met the masked Devil Man. She was enjoying a conversation with her new found friends at Legion Square when the man rolled up in his yellow Toros, and stepped out of his vehicle in a freshly pressed suit. Lola exclaimed and ran to him, before doubling back to try and introduce Margot to him. She kept saying that the masked man was a millionaire, and single. Sceptical, Margot would ignore the man and continue chatting with her friends. It was later at the pier that the man in the yellow Toros found the group again. Margot was leaned up against her friend's car, when the masked Devil Man came to stand next to her. With a raised eyebrow, Margot asked the stranger his name, and to remove his mask out of politeness. The man chuckled, told her his name was Mr Devil Man, and the mask was staying on. They got talking some, under the watchful eyes of her new friends until they left. And they continued to talk some more alone. She found the man arrogant, stubborn and stuck-up. Little did she know, they would become inseperable. For the next month, Vince and Margot would spend every day together. Getting to know each other, learning about each other. He asked her out on a date that first week, and from there, their feelings only grew towards one another. As Margot spent time in the city, she got to know a lot of people. Always keeping an ear open, she got to know the different gangs pretty quickly and she also got valuable information along the way. She took her time, getting to know the gangs and their members. She knew which ones she did not want to join, and in the end her choice revolved around three gangs. She made a lot of friends and allies during this time, and helped out where she could. She made alliances with gangs such as The Underground, who looked out for her and helped her and treated her like one of their own. A gang's politics played a huge part in her indecisiveness, along with the way they operated and communicated. The choices were difficult. In the meantime, she spent more and more time with Vince Williams. He did not tell her anything about his business, and she never asked. However, she heard a lot of stories about him and Seth Blackwood. Words such as "cartel" kept coming back to her. She respected his professional life, no matter what it was and how he chose to hide the truth, and continued for a couple of weeks making her own choices for her future and letting Vince disappear to attend to his own affairs. It was not until Vince and Seth invited her to assist on a meeting that everything began to change. For a week, Margot was invited along but was told to sit in the car at all times. Little by little, as if testing the waters, Vince would tell her a little about his work in small snippets, until she was invited out of the car on a few meetings to listen in. It was after her third week in Los Santos when things really changed. Vince and Seth took Margot for a car drive. Which was nothing new, they often spent time together driving around. It was when they parked in a secluded spot and turned off the motor did Margot know something was different. Margot was offered a position with them. Margot's choice was made, but to the world she was still unaffiliated. She would turn offers down, telling people she preferred to work alone and help as an outsider. Since Margot had been doing this from the beginning, it was not hard to believe. With her parents and life back in Paris always on her mind, Margot started to worry when after two weeks she still had no updates coming from the family lawyer. So, on the last week of October, she decided to reach out to the people who flew her to Los Santos, and requested a flight to Paris. She was worried, and had to get answers herself. It was a dismal trip, and unexpected to say the least. Little will she tell anyone, Margot finds out on that trip that both her parents are incarcerated for multiple charges, including trafficking and distribution, money laundering, bribery and racketeering. To name a few. The family lawyer is MIA, although Margot suspects he is either dead or in hiding. Margot's trusty bodyguard, Igor Stepanchikov, has also fled to his home country. Ultimately, Margot finds herself on the Europol's Wanted list for similar charges. After finding out everything she could from her visit, she decided to return to her new safe haven which is Los Santos. Armed with the knowledge that it will be a long time before she can reunite with her parents, she lands determined to make the most of a bad situation. With the new knowledge she has of her parents' incarceration, Margot is back in Los Santos with the mindset that she is stuck there. However, this time is different, she has Vince now and is determined to make it work. She now hopes to settle in Los Santos, and make it her home for the next few months until the appeals start to happen in Paris. She also has work now, and will put all her efforts into seeing her professional life flourish. How she will grow, she has yet to find out.

Urban Madine, The Not So Perfect Daughter
SkyeFuryy replied to UrbanGhost's topic in Character Stories
I love Urban and the many facades she puts up to protect herself. You have grown an incredible and complex character and I am excited and thrilled to be a part of her character story!! I can't wait to see Urban grow even more as a character!! (Awesome story btw) -

I disagree, whilst I don't approve of people using homophobic/racial slurs, I feel that RP needs to be, to an extent, realistic. Which means that some people will use the "N" word, some people will be homophobic... it adds richness and character depth, and promotes great RP when used correctly. The system in place at the moment allows for people who feel uncomfortable to ask the player to stop. By simply asking the person to stop in /b should be enough to make it stop. If they continue, it is a server rulebreak and can be reported. I used to ICly work at the DOC, and usually when somebody asks somebody to stop using a certain derogatory word in /b, it stops. Often, they are not aware about the rule which stipulates they have to stop if it is requested, and following a brief reminder of the rule, the player generally stops anyway. We had one case where a player did not stop, so we reported in /report in-game, and an admin came pretty quickly and had a chat with the player; Then, the derogatory slurs stopped. Problem solved. As far as streaming goes, I personally choose not to because of the potential ban I could get. But that's ok, if I wanted to stream GTA RP I would choose another server. It just so happens, I chose Eclipse for what it is at the moment because I love the server as it is. I would not feel comfortable asking the server to adjust to us streamers. Anyway, that's just my two pence.

Margot Rousseau was born the 11th of November 1994 in Paris. Through years of hard work, her parents, Marcus & Liliane Rousseau, built Rousseau Security. A company that provided security agents for events, and private individuals from all over the world. By the time Margot was a teen, the family bathed in luxury and riches, offering the best education and opportunities for their daughter. Margot was sent to the best schools, met powerful people and grew up travelling the world and learning the languages and cultures around it. It was inevitable that once Margot finished her Finance Degree, she became CFO for the company. However, the company wasn't solely a security company. Marcus Rousseau built an empire behind the closed doors of Rousseau Security. The company was only the front. Branches of the company dealt with money laundering and drug import/export logistics, with Margot at the head of it's financial department. Unaware for months that the French police were investigating Marcus Rousseau for embezzlement, the court finally had enough proof and testimonies to freeze the family's accounts and other assets in December of 2020. Fortunately, the family was prepared for events such as these, and continued to live comfortably for the months that followed. Marcus Rousseau was called to court on different dates, and the family lawyer built a strong case up. The family believed it would all be over soon. In an unexpected turn of events, during the night of the 26th Marcus Rousseau got a call, waking him up, from an informant warning him that the French police were on their way to arrest Marcus, and take his wife and daughter in for questioning. From the informants information, it seemed that someone close to the family had snitched on their illegal activities and named Margot as one of the lead financial advisors. They quickly left their Parisian apartment, and took Margot straight to Paris Charles de Gaulle airport. During the ride, Marcus had called in a favor to an old friend, and within the hour Margot Rousseau was sitting on a private plane flying out of the country. The old friend of the family gave Margot a briefcase with some cash, and made a few calls to Los Santos acquaintances to get her set up with a small car. She landed the morning of the 27th, was told to lay low, and to wait for her fathers' call. Margot Rousseau is now getting used to living in Los Santos. She is living with limited funds for the first time in her life, and doesn't know a soul. She expects a call any day from her father, telling her it is safe to come home. Little does she know, during her time in Los Santos, her father and mother will be arrested and Margot will become a wanted criminal in Europe. The call she is waiting from her father will never come, and she will have to adjust to the knowledge over time that she is never going home.

Sunday 12th of September. Reaching goals sometimes means taking time out of our days-off to respond to mails and texts. Today was no exception for Louise and co-founder Wes, which turned out to be the busiest day of the week for them. Meetings were scheduled, visits were done, and handshakes were exchanged.

+1 sorely needed!

As they say, the early bird gets the worm. Creating a company is easy, but growing that company is hard. You need work ethic and lots of hours put into it. Setting your alarm for 5AM, driving miles to get the perfect shots, it's all necessary.
