  1. Nothing has changed as far as I'm aware. Faction services has always struggled at communication, especially since key members go on LOA for extended and frequent periods and no decision can be made in their absence. When attempting to make AltRP requests, I was bounced around with answer to answer. "No, only officials can, unofficial can, oh eventually unofficials will be able to." And then nothing. @skeletee fights like hell for AltRP and still manages to struggle in the current system. It's what has stopped factions from thriving. If you want people to have staff RP as these "story characters". Then please make staff available for it, otherwise. People should not be blocked from continuing their story in a reasonable manner for months on end.

    Cops 2 OP

Hello! Ex SD here. No. There is multiple ways that we practically used as excuses to shoot at criminals. Please don't say "oh noo it's always in self defense." It wasn't. It's not. Lethal force can be used on anyone pointing a weapon, pulling out a weapon, carrying a weapon (depending on circumstance), running over or even driving towards individuals, and hell. SD and PD both use the "shoot out tires" method, even on traffic only offenses . I witnessed an entire squad of METRO light up a civilian car when I was in PD and get told off with a verbal warning for it. I have seen people (including myself) act like their cruiser has unlimited armor, or they'll go to pillbox, do a couple lines of roleplay and come back to it. "Just get good". I nearly won a 1v3 in SD because of my body armor only. I'm a decent shot. I don't care. Both sides should actually roleplay injuries, even when they're not down. You take a magazine to the vest? Yeah. You're probably not moving after the fight is done, instead people either run for the kill, arrest, or whatever. There has to be give and take from both sides for this conversation to go anywhere, but both sides are always firmly planted in their little echo chambers. Criminals always whine and moan about how their actions result in them getting sent to the swiss cheese factory, and LEOs are not willing to give any ground.

+/- 1. Vehicle's are in such a weird spot right now where everyone's supertuned to the max. Both criminals and LEO. And LEO's should not be deploying motorbikes in "response" to anything. Nor should they be shooting tires. And criminals should not be shooting because they have one .50 and no other charges. LEOs should not be literally going break neck speeds to capture someone who was driving recklessly, probably causing more damage and danger by doing so rather than attempting to note down the plate and driver, and arresting later in a more safe, controlled context. They're wearing a mask? Too bad. Note the vehicle. Use your investigative abilities. Not everyone has to win everything. And for criminals? Please stop shooting at cops. There's ways to get away without shooting.
  4. It was fun and I never truly left you guys. I was always keeping tabs someway somehow. Stay safe guys. I'll miss you always.
  5. The vehicles I utilize cannot even reach 200 km+. Once again coming from a standpoint from someone who's played both criminal and LEO characters, as has @equ1nox_. I don't know why this is becoming a case of "well you do X anyways." That's not what's being discussed. Comparing doubters in the mini MDC and its fairness to flat earthers is ad hominem at best and does not provoke thoughtful discussion. There's reasons why people constantly complain that LEOs are "overpowered". And while I think most concerns are invalid, there is definitely places that could be looked at and discussed in a thoughtful manner which haven't been touched in anyway as the server's evolved and shifted, such as the mini MDC.
  6. For once a Bala take that I believe is worth disagreeing with. The MDC system has not been touched in years and is unfair in its current state.
  7. I think the main thing that should be taken into account is removing the multi-targeting of the current MDC. I am guilty of this myself where I'd go to an area like the pier and sit on an angle that would give me every plate and just go through all of them with a couple button presses. Being able to lock speed/plate would be great, but only for 1 front and 1 rear at a time at most. Plate scanning should also be separated from speed scanning due to the vastly different ways these technologies operate and one having a much shorter throw than the other.
  8. https://www.stalkerradar.com/police-radar/ https://radartest.com/how-radar-works.asp Modern police radar use a dual antenna function that allow for long ranged speed detection of moving objects. While I can agree that pulling plates from this distance can be a bit unrealistic, the speed part is very much inline with IRL.
  9. -1. This should not be implemented in the state DOC is in nor generally speaking.

    Jail Times

Literally don't get caught. Jail time and fines have been reduced/limited over recent months to an extensive degree. I and many people I play with manage to evade daily. And to DOC, while yes it can definitely be improved. If more people tried to roleplay rather than alt+tab and watch Netflix or beat the shit out of eachother it'd be in a better state. Me and my friends literally just play UNO sometimes.
  11. I'd love to make more content with myself and friend's characters from ECRP, but as it stands there's no easy way to just take your Eclipse character into Menyoo or Skin Control for example. It becomes tiresome trying to recreate it, especially when every developer seems to apply different attributes in different ways. Having some kind of standardized export on the panel would be very cool.
  12. I personally had an IA report handled by you that I felt was not handled appropriately. Apart from that, IA has proven fruitful.
  13. +1. MD does not have the time or numbers to perform the activities discussed in this thread so far. The long-term care units already struggle as is and there's no point trying to force them to do more than they already do. I know for a fact people like @GodDammitKopi work their ass off to make the faction what it is and do not get the application numbers they should as they try to be some of the best RP I've been apart of in a faction. All this has done is exasperated those issues. Players bleeding out in the middle of nowhere because medics are preoccupied driving someone to Pillbox when they could've been dropped at Sandy.
  14. The LSPD's allotted time to react had well passed. It was time to start bringing the fight to them. While minor, our goal is to ensure that they are aware that no location is truly safe from our reach. Fresh out of prison and rearing for a fight, the crew available decided to go and paint the town pink. The Crew: Tom Mathers - Revolutionist Rose Frey - Revolutionist "JT" - Revolutionist "DQ" - Fanatic Josh Vex - Fanatic Skylar Romano - Prospect "Let's meet up at HQ and plan it out." Tom called out over the radio and the ramblers quickly got to ramblin'. When it came to the issue of actually having pink paint, Josh had them covered. He only brought two spraycans, 'treating the things like solid gold' Tom would remark. They sat around the fire and discussed how the plan might unravel. After some deliberation they'd treat it like a store robbery. Two with cans and the rest scouting out the area, given the security and activity of the buildings. Some late arrivals along the way, the first target was the Government building. An initial scout revealed Solomon Cobb resting on the front lawn with his pooch. Tom groaned in frustration and sent Josh in as bait. A successful strategy as Solomon eventually wandered off to go rant on Cobblog while Tom and Skylar sent themselves in to go do some spraying. Actual image of Solomon and his doggy. Target #1 - Gov. Building - Successful! While Tom may have been caught in the act. As we all know and love. No face, no case. Hopefully this rustled the feathers of some desk jockey somewhere who ignored Underground prior. It was all about putting on a show and getting their attention. Onto the next, the team discussed. Up next was Mission Row! They'd do the side/back area where individuals are processed as to try and avoid directly being caught in the act. Given that it was merely just a fine and at most a small jailtime, most were fine with being caught. Skylar and Tom swapped out cans to give to Josh and JT. Target #2 - MRPD - Successful! Another successful spray. At this point, the crew was running out of options that actually made sense and would grab attention. A can was passed to DQ while JT kept his. Off to the impound, the crew concurred. A few members held back on Tom's order momentarily as a cruiser was spotted in the impound. Tom thought they'd be able to get away with distracting him while they worked, but there was two in the vehicle. So they waited for them to leave, then hit it with the same efficiency as the last two. Target #3 - LS Impound - Successful! Out of truly solid options, and rather tired as the night grew near and things got cold. The crew agreed to wrap things up for the night, proud of the little bit of anarchy they reigned that night. Some poor cadet would likely be forced to clean them up, and that made the crew snicker to themselves as they rode off on their bikes. ((Thank you to the staff who reasoned we could do this within NCZs. Thank you especially to Ash for his cooperation throughout the entire ordeal and being a real one.))
  15. @GiorgosK Will be happy to assist you.
  16. +1 I think this is a solid change to comping.
  17. I don't see why we aren't allowed to pick torsos and undershirts at will, honestly.
  18. What? The same rule applies to players with NRP, I rarely see someone wearing a jacket that removes your torso outright or shoes/pants which remove your ankles. An occasional troll, but that's it.
  19. There's lots of great stuff here as always, Bala. I wish everyone else, including myself could speak with the same tact and impartiality as you. I'll be honest. I'm guilty as a criminal of some of the things mention here. I hate going to DOC. Not just on an IC level where I may evade certain cases, and what have you. But on an OOC level as well. I feel that criminals, while occasionally having a shining star roleplayer like Lola. On average, have a much lower quality of roleplay. Ergo, DOC is an even lower average from that. People say that DOC can survive without script support to a high quality but I beg to differ.
  20. Go back to the main thread. New looks IC means new looks OOC. https://forum.eclipse-rp.net/topic/87940-the-underground/ Shit looks fire. (totally not designed by myself :^))
  21. Armor The current state of armor in Eclipse is rather painful as a criminal player myself. And I even found it rather unfair when I was in PD. While I understand the readiness in availability for a criminal versus an officer, this does not warrant the current AP values given to law enforcement. I've talked this over in the Discord a few times and it seems at least a few LEOs can agree with this statement. I propose a reduction in the AP of LEOs armor. Proposal 1 Concealed Vest (Hidden completely visibly, equipped by default) 50 AP -> 35 AP. (30% reduction.) Standard Kevlar (Can be seen, typically worn) 100 AP -> 70 AP (30% reduction.) METRO/Heavy Duty Kevlar (Deployed in high-risk scenarios.) ??? (150?) AP -> 105 AP (30% reduction.) Proposal 2 Concealed Vest (Hidden completely visibly, equipped by default) 50 AP -> 30 AP. (40% reduction.) Standard Kevlar (Can be seen, typically worn) 100 AP -> 60 AP (40% reduction.) METRO/Heavy Duty Kevlar (Deployed in high-risk scenarios.) ??? (150?) AP -> 120 AP (20% reduction.) I tried to make some kind of standardized system here, I believe that LEOs should have higher AP at least at the very high end when compared to that of civilians. Concealed vests aren't even available to criminals for example (AFAIK). I decided to make a doubling system with each tier. 30, 60, 120 with my second option. For the first I just applied a 30% reduction to all, which seems reasonable in its own right. The common proposal has been to reduce standard down to 50 which I don't necessarily agree with. Criminals have to pay tens of thousands of dollars for the luxury of armor. LEOs do not. That is something that is definitely realistic, but should be taken into consideration for the sake of a video game! Weapons This is an area I feel much less comfortable speaking on due to lack of proper experience with these weapons and lack of exact values. I'll simply recommend some damage increases to weapons I know need them. These values are rather arbitrary and open to discussion. Micro UZI (Typically used by crims, fell out of favour due to low damage.) +10% Damage. SMG (Commonly available to LEOs, pushed aside by crims due to cost/bang comparison not being worth it.) +15% Damage.
  22. -1 Even when I was in PD I thought this as a good thing as it punished me for being forgetful and not properly executing my duties in a reasonable timeframe. Worse came to worse, I'd go back to DOC.
