Add "Store" UI for carriables to furniture items with storage
Requiem replied to Kjaer's topic in Game Suggestions
I believe this is already an open suggestion. But nonetheless, +1. -
I agree with the comments and see no real reason to limits RP opps and not just add some of these "fun" vehicles in. Obviously the problematic ones such as some supers and armored vehicles have their reasons for not being added, but I would like to see the reason for not adding a golf cart for general purchase.

We see the same kind of problems in other areas of the server as well, such as furniture storage (lockers or safes). The two main issues are volume and weight capacity. The number of squares available is sometimes a problem with items that don't stack well, and the weight is a problem for some things that don't see to be balanced for their weight properly. +/- 1 on the concept of larger truck capacities. I agree that realistically it would make sense to rebalance this, but we need to consider the game balance as well. Capability to move a lot more can impact things such as fishing, oil mining, or ore mining and the economy of those. Can also impact certain criminal activities such as drug movement or illegal shipment drops. I don't know what that impact necessarily looks like, but it should be considered before changing something like this.

The issue here is not just loss of player interaction, its loss of investigative ability for LEO factions. LEO's are already very limited on what they can do to track people down and investigate crimes, and using impound reports and interactions at the impound is part of LEO's capability to do so by understanding vehicles a person may own and exactly what those vehicles look like along with their license plate info, etc. Automating the impound removes those reports and interactions and limits investigative ability and RP opps. I can agree with some level of automation when there are little to no LEOs on duty, but aside from that, its a -1 from me.

+1 to the suggestion and +1 to the above additions, especially unique graphics. I think it would be more immersive and add some nice RP to make IDs more versatile with what you could do with them and look at a real graphic instead of the text we have now.

Re-implementing a base GTA mechanic : Shooting from Driver Seat
Requiem replied to Homast's topic in Implemented Suggestions
-1 Agreed with alexalex. This would simply lead to no one ever leaving their car for shootouts and would become a disaster. Can't support it. -
Can confirm I have the same issue on both in game purchased pets and credit store pets.
-
I like this idea...gives more purpose to boats which currently don't really have much use. Agreed. Up the prices. It makes since economically and IC wise since no one has been fishing...the prices should go up as supply has been low for fish sold on the market.

Outnumbered referring to the SWAT team specifically. The SWAT team only consists of about 15 members, all of which are on extremely different time zones with different schedules IRL. Only ever about 3-5 SWAT members normally on at PEAK times, unless we have a prescheduled in game event such as weekly training for our team. SWAT Command is the supervisory command team of SWAT. They lead the team, create policy and provide orders to lower ranking SWAT officers. As others say quite often, perhaps try playing as an LEO, and specifically SWAT before making unfounded claims or saying things like "you are never outnumbered". I have been in the SWAT team for over a year now and I can assure you that from my experience, we are almost always outnumbered.
-
-1 As a member of SWAT command for PD, I believe that the numbers and policies IC are balanced properly in their current state. In no realistic instance would crims try to fight a SWAT team and expect to win or even have a chance to. Regardless, changing the armor values for SWAT specifically will not change the outcome of most situations. It is SWATs job to insert themselves INTO shootouts and high risk situations where most often we realize that we may be out numbered. Only deserving we have high AP values and weaponry to back it up.

+1 I find myself squinting and having to focus a lot when performing these mini games, and I have good vision IRL...

This should be revisited since it seems fishing is dead content currently!

+1. This would be really cool to implement, however, I believe too much dev time would likely be required, so don't hold your breath on this one....
-
+1 overall. Support everything mentioned here. I know it had been brought up in other threads, but one other point to mention as well as one of the major current issues is the lack of new content. I believe the devs agree with some of the suggestions and complaints made by the community, such as the DOC situation as an example...however they are only able to work so quickly because of the lack of development manpower. With such a small dev team, even if they agreed with everything on this post and made the decision to implement it all, I feel it would take so long to put in place, many of us might not ever see it. The dev team NEEDS to add more people to their team and push more content. They do a great job with all of the content they release and give a uniqueness to this server that makes it what it is, but its just too slow. I know its hard to train others or trust others with the source code and other issues that may be involved here, but at some point it needs to be realized that the current progression of content just isn't working and a change is required. Agreed with everything you mentioned as well Clank. There are instances on forum reports where staff are investigating fearRP breaches and they are literally analyzing frames of video evidence looking at MILLISECOND differences between two people pulling out their guns and who has who under fearRP first. You have to be joking with this nonsense. FearRP is just a terrible rule to begin with in the way it is enforced and used as it limits players so much. I get the intent behind it to prevent non-RP, but the rule in of itself CREATES non-rp. Players who RP a certain character have to sometimes completely change the way their character acts to the point its non-RP in itself to conform to the rule and then that person just doesn't get to play anymore. They get to sit there and comply with every demand given to them, or simply get reported for fearRP. No opportunity what-so-ever to RP back or have any say in what they do, just cuz the other person pulled their weapon first. Absolute BS and so restrictive...and what a joke that it gets taken to the point that MILLISECONDS of difference of people pulling their weapons is being analyzed. All of that being said, this is not a slam on server staff. They are just doing their job as they have been told to. This is a problem with the server rules themselves. In my opinion, rather than have such restrictive rules, let people have more conflict. Let people shoot each other more freely. If two gangs want to fight, let them fight. The issue will resolve itself if they fight too often as there will be too many resources lost, whether its manpower, guns, or overall just money. Sometimes you need to let things naturally sort themselves out. Let everyone just be creative and have fun with it. So disgusting that everyone is so afraid to even play the game anymore without the fear of being reported with every single situation they get into. And that brings me to my last point of the play-to-win mentality. This goes hand in hand with what's already been mentioned about the reports. WAY too many players now with a disgusting play-to-win attitude. Its a game bro. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Get over it. Losing a situation doesn't always necessitate "SaVe pOv". I feel this could also be resolved with rebalancing of the pricing of everything. Lower the prices of weapons for crims. Its been said over and over and over. Enough with the grinding. This isn't runescape man, the grind isn't necessary. Let players get the things they need to RP more easily. It shouldn't be about sitting around all week just grinding money to have fun for 10 minutes at the end of the week and then lose it all, then rinse and repeat next week.

+1 Probably low on the dev priority list compared to other items, but nice suggestions.

+1 to the concept. I can't speak to or agree with the pricing as I don't interact with these features enough to have an opinion.

While I agree with you that there are certainly some people who don't seem to be on the server for primarily RP purposes, or just don't take it seriously enough, there are also still people that care and do put in good effort. I think burgershot has become sort of a gathering area for these non-rp underage players. I would recommend trying to find other places to invest your time to get a better response. To be fair on the same note though, there were many times on the pier back in the day when that was also a gathering of immature non-rp players as well. Playing as a LEO in the server, we all hated going to the pier for presence or responding to calls due to all of the non-rp ridiculous things that occurred there every time. Literally couldn't go down to the pier without these people jumping onto the police car and dancing and saying vulgar words for no reason other than to be immature and obnoxious, despite how unrealistic and non-rp it was.
-
There is a really easy fix for this...don't break the law in a very public and open space, and cops won't harass you if you paid for the parking, didn't wear a mask and parked your vehicle properly to begin with, cops won't have a reason to say anything to you. I don't see an issue with removing the parking pay though. But that sounds like an IC discussion with the state government to have that done.
-
-1 This discourages RPing and interacting with other players as it can all be done on your own. Step in the wrong direction for the server.

The solution to the housing shortage
Requiem replied to Carl Vespucci's topic in Implemented Suggestions
As for your advertising issue, there are IC ways to advertise houses already! Yes, some of them could use improvement, but its not a massive issue. As for your mortgage idea, there are player ran businesses IC that offer loans for this kind of thing as well already. I personally bought a 4G 4 mill house in Vinewood using a loan and paid it off over the course of 4-6 weeks. Inquire in game to figure some of that out though.
