  1. This server would sadly never work with NPCs the way you are suggesting, both in the culture and performance capabilities. People already have a lot of performance issues inthe server and our capability to have a lot of players as opposed to other RP servers is because there are no NPCs. The server would be unplayable for most if NPCs filled the streets.
  2. Love the suggestion, but have to agree with the comments above that it will likely be abused...
  3. This is exactly what chops used to be except it used a different method of chopping the car. This idea has been suggested by a lot of people to bring old public chop areas back, maybe even on a rotation as you suggested, but I wouldn't hold your breath on that. I think the new chop system is here to stay.
  4. I like the concept of this, but as an RP server, it adds nothing for RP opportunities between players. There should be some tie in for RP opportunities other than just trading the crypto for this to make sense.

    ((Archive pls))

This is already an existing suggestion
  6. While giving crims more things to do is great, -1 on this one. No one would ever use vending machines if they could just get robbed, making them dead content.
  7. Probably for balance and roleplay purposes. This is an RP server, not Need for Speed. -1 to making vehicles faster than they already are.
  8. +1 Giving more RP capabilities for medical RP sounds great.
  9. There is already a clothing update almost finished that will add a bunch of new clothes and customization options for characters!
  10. +1 There are some dealerships in particular where half the vehicle can't be seen and you can't properly move the camera. Would be a nice QOL update to fix this.
  11. +/- 1 While I like the suggestion if it were used properly, half the time the roadworkers don't seem to care about the RP of the situation and they are just there to grind for cash. They just park their vehicles in the middle of the road and run to setup as many barricades as possible. If it were used properly, this would be a +1 from me.
  12. Agreed with Ash. This isn't worth dev time and honestly, with as buggy and terrible as the islands have been, they should just be removed from even having construction done on them to begin with at this point.
  13. +1 Seems like an easy and reasonable request.
  14. Afaik, GTA 5, and any other game, doesn't have the capability to modify the sound level of only specific outputs for voip like this. Its just simply overall voip volume. I don't think your request is, or will ever be, possible unfortunately. I would agree if it was possible, and it would be a nice feature.
  15. Nice thought, but this wouldn't work because every time any LEO gives a crim anything but the minimum time, there will be complaints, regardless of RP quality.
  16. Really cool idea and good effort on the presentation. Overall, I would still say -1 I think. As cool as it is, I would rather see dev time focused on other things and there are better RP opps that could be put into the server.
  17. 5 tickets - Bill Breacher
  18. I personally never see this happen. The only time PD is allowed to take tires is when the person being chased is running people over, shooting at them, or leading cops into ambushes to be shot. Even then, shooting is only authorized if a supervisor gives permission to do so. If someone is shooting for no reason, it would be a breach of IC and OOC rules. IC, its a breach of dept policy and they should be IA reported. OOC, it would potentially be a breach of DM rights. A high speed vehicle is only allowed to be deployed if the person being chased is using a high speed vehicle. We have a specific list of vehicles that high speed is allowed to be deployed for, and if its not on that list, LEOs can't use it. Also, high speed car is limited to only one per chase. Bike is limited to only 2. And usually, if we are in a joint chase with SD for example in the city, PD will not deploy high speed vehicles if SD already has them out in use. (Both due to protocol and for fairness) Also, a high speed car is to be used on a car chase. Bikes are not supposed to be used on a car chase for the safety of the officers ICly and per dept policy.
  19. Agreed with all the suggestions above. 1) Give coroners an app on the phone, so people know it exists, just like DCC for example. 2) Give LSEMS the capability to do the coroners job ONLY when no coroners are on duty. This would work similar to the current /stabalize command for LEOs. When no MD are on shift, LEOs are allowed to use the /stabalize command with the script. Just do the same for coroner commands in the script after the system has checked to see if any coroners are on duty. 3) Spawn random bodies for coroners to pickup, preferably at the incident job sites so it makes more sense!
  20. No disrespect, but this sounds like a skill issue. You would be suprised to see the number of chases PD loses and how many get away. Some days, PD catches less than half of the people that evade easily. If you haven't been able to evade a single time, then you are either need some practice driving, or need to change up your tactics. As far as your comment on the traffic stops, I can assure you that the majority of the traffic stops PD does are without backup. The primary reason you probably never have a traffic stop without backup showing up is because you evade constantly or are gang affiliated. Most officers call for backup for a reason, not just arbitrarily. More often than not, that reason is because the person is either dangerous, or 9 times out of 10, they evade from us, and we know it.
  21. To start, sounds like the proper job to some extent is being done based on this statement. Crims SHOULD try to avoid cops and be worried about getting arrested. Would be unrealistic if they weren't. For your prison time recommendation: As stated above by Bala, it doesn't matter how much time you have in prison, its probably gonna be a shit experience. Changing the time isnt gonna help that. Need to attack this at the root cause of the issue, which the staff team/devs have admitted is an issue and have agreed to make changes and renovate the prison at some point. Chargestacking: There are already rules against this for LEO's. Both IC via the Penal code and internal policies, and OOC via server rules, and again faction policies. There are certain charges we are allowed to add multiple times ONLY if its what actually happened. But as Jett said above, LEOs are never allowed to just add charges for no reason. But we have the court system for that now. Also IA for PD can be used IC and OOC if any specific officer is doing anything corrupt such as this. As for helicopter patrols: I have 150+ hours as a pilot for PD and I can safely say that no one flys over labs and calls out people there for no reason. We have rules in place, for both ground units and air units, that we are not allowed to camp labs or go to them for no reason. LEOs are only allowed to go to labs if we have a reason to, such as a 911 call was placed for that location or we hear gunshots coming from there, or chase someone into one. After the situation concludes, LEOs are required to ICly "forget" the location is a lab until our next encounter with it as well. TL;DR - pretty much everything you mentioned already is enforced and has rules around it.
  22. +1 I agree with some of the other comments that there are larger issues affecting crims on the server that need to be resolved, but as can be seen over the last year or two, those issues clearly won't be resolved immediately. In the mean time, ICA's (bandaids) need to be used to correct the problems, this being a good start while the PCA is established eventually.
  23. Replace buffalo with Buffalo STX....easy. Buffalo is garbage and the STX makes more RP sense, and its bullet proof, which makes more sense for Metro SWAT to have.
  24. -1 While the idea is neat, I don't think this adds anything of real value to the server and there is a massive list of other things I would much rather the devs focus on before something like this.
