  1. I know 30 sounds generous enough, but if you're an intricate builder and put in effort to make things look nice, you know that this isn't enough. Attached is a picture of my patio that isn't that impressive but alone has taken all 30 slots. The fire pit alone takes up 3 item slots (the stone pit and 2 garbage fires) Basically here's my plea to improve curb appeal, please consider giving us some more slots.
  2. My eyes are burning as I type this due to how long I was renovating my property yesterday, having to lean into the screen and get all up in it's business trying to rotate a million walls the perfect 90 degrees. Had there been a way to simply type into each axis the degrees I wanted it to rotate it would save SO much time for everyone. (and improve the look of the structures)
  3. +1 with an adjustment... I don't think banks should be OPEN 24/7 but I do think salary should go directly into your bank account. That way you can still withdraw a limited amount from an ATM, which should be plenty for you to use outside of banking hours. until the banks open. That seems realistic because yes your irl direct deposit IS available to you outside of the banks even when they're closed, just use an atm.
  4. Was sitting here wondering how nice it would be if the money we kept in the bank accrued interest and thought of a potential benefit if it were implemented. So many people treat car shopping like an impulse buy, and nothing wrong with that but then they discard whatever car they're tired of, overfilling the used car lots. You can logically assume by being able to gain interest from keeping money in the bank I think people would be a little more hesitant to buy cars on a whim, which would slow down the oversaturation in the car market. Really just thinking out loud.... Thoughts?
  5. *grins* Well then this was some good timing on getting this post made... I mean if it ever gets up for a vote on adding this y'all have my full support. Would be a cool addition to the skyline, and add buildings that can host events, businesses, or luxury condos, etc. Lots more possibilities than a blocked off construction site.
  6. Let's get rid of the construction eyesore in downtown Los Santos. This mod will complete the Mile High Club Tower so it's not an unfinished mess in the middle of the city. Adding this mod that completes construction of the tower would add several new buildings to the town, and event space, shopping, etc... Let's finally put an end to this infinite construction project that we've spent years looking at.
  7. Now that we have so many player submitted videos coming into the discord, I would love for the city to have actual theaters where we can purchase a ticket and go in and watch these on the screen. Would add a lot to civilian RP, going with friends or a date to the movies, and a good way to kill 10 to 30+ minutes.
  8. +/- As someone who has renovated many big spaces and apartments the prices can be out of control but if it's going to prohibit people from building trashy tacky exteriors that make no sense then I say whatever we can do to limit that should stay.
  9. Now that the government has rolled out a system where SO many new businesses will get the opportunity to start, I think that it's time to up the game on creating a business. There should be a way to create a business type faction where the players can set it up themselves to bring on employees they hire... With an attached corporate bank account that money can be sent to if they provide services and take payments from customers. This could be used to pay out employees, and if the business ever gets sold the account would go to the new owner.
  10. I definitely think that falls under what is normally accessible to the public. I started the thread by being selfish because I REALLY want to buy my neighbors house but yeah it has a ton of great RP potential.
  11. I'm just here to say I agree with the OP's idea... If someone TRULY believes that repeating the word "f*ggot" is important to their role play experience than there's no way to reason with that.
  12. I know several people who do not play on Eclipse from when I first started, a couple of people who are twitch streamers, who left because of the rampant homophobia and racism that goes unchecked. It's not the words, it's the overuse of the words. So yes eventually people DO leave because of it.
  13. I would like to propose being able to access information that in real life would be public records. Whether through the government website or an in person government employee. I have a neighbor who I've never seen and I've sent letters, and it's very important for a reason that I know who lives there... IRL This information would be public as you can go to any County Clerk office and get the name of who lives at a certain property. A first and last name doesn't hinder the persons privacy so there's no real issue with knowing a name but there's just no way to get that information in game. A government section where you can apply to get that information using an address would be very beneficial to me and I'm sure others who are in the same boat. (Not sure if this is the right area to post this.)
  14. +1 I'll agree with this for the community and growth sake. While yes, it's a RPG and freedom of speech, yada yada yada... It's still a game that requires people to feel comfortable with logging on and playing. Especially streamers who purposefully avoid Eclipse because of rampant homophobia and racism here. Streamers are paramount in helping the community grow and if they all avoid it and go to other servers where there ARE rules in place regarding overuse of certain words then we're the ones that are losing out by having less people to play and interact with here... Soon we'll be left with only people who are okay with that language and it's just going to be a toxic server where it's just a bunch of kids running around calling people f*gg*ts and the n word. So in that respect it IS a slippery slope that should be reigned in a bit.
  15. Definitely! I think the Marquis would be the perfect boat to add an RV-Style Interior to. This has been discussed before but hasn't been talked about in a bit so I'm glad it's still on peoples minds because I'd love to see this happen!
  16. I know that the limitation is there to prevent people from just trashing the outside of their homes, but I'd love for you to consider giving us an additional 10 or 15 slots for additional furniture on the outside. It gives people a bit more space for creativity especially for skilled renovators/decorators those slots fill up quickly even for small spaces when you're focused on small details.
  17. Neither +1 or -1... Maybe it needs to be adjusted... but reverting back to the old ways is not the answer... People in this thread have said criminals have left the server because of the rule change... I can assure you that civilians have left the server prior to the rule change because who wants to be robbed every time they're not in a car or NCZ. I've dealt with the "hands hands hands" robbers and it's not even fun, it's boring RP that's just a inconvenient waste of time. That's not to say the rule fixed that kind of RP... but it also doesn't hurt to get creative... follow someone into an area you can rob them... lure them into an area you can rob them... Just get creative with it and for the love of god at least make it exciting role play for the civilians who you're robbing to, don't be boring, we're not ATMs.
  18. Ahh okay. That makes sense, I will reach out to the person who was having issues. IDK how anyone plays this game without a mouse on a laptop. Would drive me crazy... Thanks!
  19. I didn't know this was a thing because I have one. But my character has rented out an apartment unit to this person who kept claiming their keys wouldn't work. I find out this is because they cannot scroll down to the lock/unlock option due to using a laptop. I asked in the discord what the alternative was to be able to scroll through the UI options and they said there was no other option. I would love to see an alternative option, maybe the arrow keys up and down could be included in the ways to maneuver this menu? Just a thought to increase accessibility of the game.
  20. Players on foot should only be attempted to be hit with a vehicle once with valid motive. Vehicles cannot be used as weapons in active shootouts unless where unavoidable. These two rules would argue that what he did was within the confines of the rules. While you cannot use your vehicle as a weapon in an ACTIVE shootout, at that moment it was not an active shootout it was in the defense of a player being robbed. The shootout happened after the ramming, and no vehicle was used after that point.
  21. That's exactly it, I hate to see so many great businesses just sit around collecting dust when there's great RPers that want to make use of them. I know some are used as Crim HQ's but no reason they can't operate a "fake business" as a front. I think it'd be a big boost for everyone.
  22. Bare with me because I think that this could give a big boost to quality businesses opening up in the city. The current system is everyone sitting and waiting until one day the server drops dozens of business buildings on us to buy and it becomes a scramble to find one for sale and buy it... But for the most part these are being bought by people with no intention of running a business or opening up a building that would contribute to the server at all... I am suggesting a change that if you think about it, it could boost civilian AND criminal RP. It give city hall more responsibility besides just approving/denying registrations and licenses. I think buying a commercial real estate can be done on an individual basis requiring an application to state the type of business that you hope to open along with the location you desire. If you application is approved and a price has been established you are sold that specific location. The prices/size of the interior space will be dependent on the location of the building you want. During the application process the server will build the interior for that one specific building that you purchase. If a government inspector comes and your business is not operating as you state in your license a fine can be levied against you. The real purpose of this is to give creative roleplayers the opportunity to apply and get these buildings instead of the players who have no creativity to start something that can benefit RP and just buy it because they can afford to. How could this help boost Crim RP too? Because IRL criminals don't just have big buildings in the middle of the city that they turn into a clubhouse, they'll need to start a legit front for their business as cover for whatever they do in the back of the building. TL:DR Instead of everyone waiting for the server to drop 20+ businesses that everyone scrambles to get, only benefitting people online that specific day/time, it would be an individual application process to show what kind of business you want to open. This gives CIVrp the chance to flex creativity and be rewarding with a building. and CRIMrp their chance to open a business front and conduct criminal activity out the back. Applications would go through city hall giving them more to do, and then hiring more people, opening up more jobs around the city.
