-1 Just because that steps on the current player ran businesses that are already renting out houses, apartments, and cars. I'd rather see the money for those rentals go towards players who started a business rather than back into the server/"government".

Nah man I got what you were saying. I don't think this is some ploy to destroy the Weazel company. LOL. Ads should be moved to a phone app or at least toggled off when your phone is off. I just don't think it'd be implemented for a looooong time, if at all. But I like the idea.

I do agree that it should be an app on your phone that you have to open up to view ads, however any type of script for that would be so far down the priority list that bringing it up feels like a losing battle. Someday maybe it'll be implemented but... doubt it.

Definitely never bothered me however I think a better alternative to toggling them off would be to move them all to an phone app that you need to pull up to see the advertisements however that type of scripting would be extremely low on the priority list, a more immediate solution would be to take it ICly, right now they're allowed to post 3 ads every 5 minutes as far as the ones that are on standby to constantly be ran. Your character can always track down the powers that be and start a petition, get the government involved to up the 5 minute mark to something higher like 7 or 10 or something... Lots of options, but I if you're waiting for something to be scripted you're going to be waiting for a looooong time.

Construction and Company Update - 6/13/23 While an embarrassing amount of time has lapsed between the initial announcement of Stage One Productions and now, it is important that you know I am still committed to this endeavor, and am closer than ever to announcing the grand opening, which is less than a month away. First and foremost, the name change from StudioOne to Stage One, felt like it made more sense as Stage 1 is already the name plastered on the side of my building. It made sense to rebrand the company name than try to climb up there and paint over 20 feet tall letters. Construction has still been going on, but quietly and somewhat more slow than I would have liked, but the finish line is in sight. Keep an eye out for the impending grand opening announcement. the beautiful lobby welcomes visitors and only those with a code can proceed further, ensuring the safety of those working inside. state of the art computers for video editing, sound editing, and script writing separate space for meetings and table reads although sparse, this yet to be furnished stage is the first apartment set designed. doors open towards the camera, and space is angled to give you the best shot with faux trees set behind the windows retro-themed stage set up for the perfect game shows, with area for live audience members to be included the perfect space for one-on-one interviews While this is not a cheap endeavor, nor is it coming along very quickly, this is an exciting project and hopefully will spark the creativity in all of us...

Yeap, kind of scattered along the northern parts of the map, you had to build a house from scratch on them, and that was long before the price drops in the furniture store so I'm assuming it was an expensive little project. But I'm assuming if you could afford an island you can afford the construction.

+1 If there was an actual way to make this happen, I know nothing about coding either so not sure the possibility of this. I was just thinking about this yesterday when I was sitting out in the snow, thinking like oooh my character is SO going to catch a damn cold out here.

Definitely agree with this... As someone who has very thick skin and doesn't like censorship, I don't view this as censorship at all. I think the whole kill yourself thing, along with racism and homophobia is just, not necessary to develop a rich roleplay character. People use the façade of "roleplaying" as an excuse to say shocking things and behave badly. But gaming should be an escape for people who deal with IRL issues, such as racism, homophobia, etc... I know full well there are people who have quit Eclipse because of the insanely toxic words spewed at them by some people, and if we can keep a full server and have fun and be a bit of reprieve for someone whos life isn't as easy as ours, then I think refraining from calling someone the f word, or telling them to kill themselves, is a small price to pay.

It's ungodly slow on the browser as well, once they fix the incredibly slow speeds on LifeInvader I hope it gets used a lot more, it could be a fantastic resource.
