  1. +1 Referring to the main points brought up by the other comments, while I do think that the jail cap shall not be reduced in order to be an active deterrent for crims to stop going on a killing spree with cops and whatnot, the prison time offline would aid what I think stands in the main issues within the processing phase and in DOC itself. I personally work 10 hours a day as well, I have been on both sides of those endless scenes where it can take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour or more before the /prison command is done, and I believe that the sentence time should start running down from the moment that charges are pressed in cases where even solely the combo between Felony Evading + Illegal Firearm + Resisting arrest/face concealment or FPE gets you three hours in DOC, punishing in particular those people that have not that much time on their hands to actively serve the sentence. If this could be served even offline, slowed down to 25% irl time, there would be a sort of middle ground to both issues. From the moment you step in DOC, in all the times I've been there, there is simply not enough people and/or guards that are willing to interact with you other than the occasional screaming guy that tries to DM you or people tabbed out in a cell (mea culpa as well). DOC guards will argue "We have our own rp to do, it's maintenance, training" and all those pretty stuff, but what really needs to be focused on is the actual interactions with the prisoners. I'm sorry, but I do not think that this is something that would be solved with more script support.

    Jail Times

-1 It's a (necessary) deterrent for you to stop committing crimes. The general idead is that you would not want to end up in prison ever again, cause realistically you'd have years-long sentences, instead, the way that game work makes so that you end up in prison over, and over, and over again. In order for it not to happen, you have to find ways to not get caught, regardless of the scenario. Prison cap has already been added months ago, and I do believe that 5 hours (tops) are not that huge of a deal upon hours of playtime. End of the day, it's up to you to create and join RP in prison, rather than tab out and watch netflix for hours straight.
  3. The title is pretty self explanatory, and although I might be wrong, I would like to know some opinions on this matter. Few days ago an update was implemented, "fixing" the previous car spawn rate that was put in place with the chop shop update, drastically reducing the amount of car spawned, their spots and so on. To understand if it was only my impression, I have been online at all sorts of times, regardless if my faction or someone's else had an active chopshop going on, always having the same results. While I do think there should be a periodic rotation as to where these cars are spawned, I do not think there was anything wrong with the amount of cars that were made available, nor their spawn/despawn time. As of today, one of the results is that people started focusing back on picklocking random civilians cars, doesn't matter where or in what circumstances, just for the sake of stealing the contents of the vehicle and leaving them unlocked, because the alarm doesn't ring as long as you don't fail the timer. This gives few to 0 chances of protecting your own vehicle, making it once again the target of said crim characters that previously were "leaving civs alone". Realistically, since LS is based on LA, we're still talking about a metropolitan area where HUNDREDS of vehicles would be parked around, and I find it very unlikely if not unrealistic that not a single vehicle is to be found if not continuously driving for 15 minutes, actively looking for them. I'm not saying they should be at every corner, but other than a few illegally parked NPC vehicles, I do not think there was anything wrong with the previous spawn rate.
  4. The first step for the gang was to figure out and forge new connections with the oldest gangs in Los Santos. During the whole time they had been away, multiple generations of gangs had risen: Irish, Los Santos Royals, Los Santos Drift, Shenzhen Dragons.. some of them had survived the hard times and conflicts, some, unfortunately, did not. One of those mentioned would’ve been the first approach of the Ghetto Block Killas. Kris Davis had known his friend Jonathan Wellers for a while, making him the perfect contact point between each gang’s High Commands. Didn’t take long before Frank and DeAndre shook hands down in Grove Street, coming down to a mutual agreement. The Shenzhen Dragons could've used more revenue streams as they were focused on expanding their operations out of State, and their contacts in Los Santos needed to be kept satisfied. GBK would’ve provided them with the packed cash they needed in order to be laundered, gaining in return their trust, money, and favor. A couple of days later, the Ghetto Block Killas were slowly getting back the hang of how things were being done in Los Santos. Money was flowing into the members' pockets with flawless bank and store robberies. Not to mention, they were getting more skilled and faster each day in swiping up any valuable vehicle they could find in the streets, from the unremarkable sedan to the luxury SUVs and even racing cars. Voices in the streets were spreading with their name and more and more people were coming down to Grove Street to meet them.
  5. Date and time (provide timezone): UTC+2 from 14.30 to 16.20 Character name: Jasmin Williams Issue/bug you are reporting: NPC vehicles despawning after an hour or two since the successfull picklock and hotwiring. An ingame report was made and staff told there was no despawn rate applied to ONLY NPC vehicles, referencing infos provided by NBDY, so the vehicles were hid in the waiting of the chopshop being set up (matter of import time.) Expected behavior: NPCs vehicles that have been successfully moved from their location, picklocked and hotwired shall not despawn like players owned vehicles. Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: The vehicles picklocked were a white nightshade, a black and red Peyote and a high-end blue Bestia GTS. Between bobby pins and hotwire kit, 20+k worth of equipment, these were considered worth chops that would've covered it. Vehicle license plate number*: N/A, logs can be checked.
  6. +1 It's extremely annoying when I'm in the middle of a pursuit, trying to cut a corner over the smallest curb and these trees just pop out of NOWHERE due to the short drawing distance.
  7. With all due respect, criminal factions could come up with suggestions on how and what activities would possibly provide a better alternative to chain-bank robberies and grinding drugs. Many suggestions were made through time, @Bala opened entire threads on how this could be possibly improved, and there's been a recent inside on the upcoming criminal update as well. Someone might even suggest alternative RP scenarios that do not require script support, just like @Lola did with the jewelry store or the pharmacy. For the love of God, and this is more of a general comment rather than specifically aimed at you: Stop blaming PD or any other law enforcement faction when you have no fucking clue on how this affects OUR experience as well, which is as infuriating as it might be for criminals, just from a different point of view.
  8. If you guys really feel the need to rob banks at 5 am, when I should be sleeping and instead I'm forced to go in game and on shift (as if it was a real job) for your own pleasure, I'm willing to open a gofundme so you can pay me an adequate salary.
  9. And yet, with 107 officers and all of these incredible resources, as a police officer, I still struggle to get more than 2 backup units during the afternoon or in the morning, when everyone is so trigger happy that they completely throw out of the window the risk/reward factors when it comes to interacting with law enforcement. I've seen criminals doing the exact same thing that PD does: drive into your own apartment/parking lot during a chase, unpark another car, continue driving. At that point it's just a matter of RP standards.

    Congratulations on official
  11. Resentment Tap...Tap...Tap... That’s what was filling the Noodle’s house room, for the first time in months. The light sound of the footsteps resonated between the walls, the wooden floor slightly crackling beneath her feet. The sizzling of the pans had stopped, no shouts could be heard coming out of the kitchen as soon as the orders kept coming in, no people murmuring between each other during meetings. The seat in the middle of the room was left empty. Still walking around, her finger slowly slid on the sides of the blade in her hands, the black bandana that usually hid her face was already pulled down her neck; after all, "no masks inside Noodle". She softly chuckled between herself as that clear yet so far away thought crossed her mind. If people listened well enough, they would've understood even the part about not bringing guns inside or on the roof, which multiple times led to unpleasant (yet funny, somehow) visits of PD, but that was another story. Leaning against the table, she folded her arms up to her chest, "Family..and look where they are now." Since she had left the Order to take some time for herself, using the time spent in China to re-build some of her old friendships and businesses, things in Los Santos were going downhill at a surprising pace. Coming back to check up on her people, she quickly discovered how everything went to ashes. The Little Seoul community slowly went back to its original state, as other gangs started to flood in what used to be FSO’s territories. When businesses started shutting down their doors, the life in Little Seoul came back to its quietness. Not even the bigger gangs were around anymore after the conflict: no more Aztecas, La Familia Michoacana, or even their allies, Daichead Gadaí, who as far as she was aware, proudly fought against what she would’ve defined the “leftovers”. Her long-gone gang members, who used to wear silky bombers, were now being covered in blue, flooding in Jamestown street along with those who used to be their enemies. Someone could’ve argued that both sides had their losses, and it was (finally) time to put the anger aside...but not for her Those thoughts started feeding once again the burning feeling at the bottom of her stomach. The sound of the knife being stuck in the middle of the table broke the silence in the room, the blade going into the wood for a couple of inches. Raising her hands, she slowly lifts herself up from the table, walking behind what used to be her chair. Chi. Picking up her phone, Ling started scrolling quickly down her contacts. Couldn't help herself from sighing at the sight of a few of the names down the list, none of them labeled, but memories with or about them still vividly playing in her mind. Found the contact, it took her only a couple of seconds, frenetically tapping on the top of the screen. "The city is quiet without my family. I miss you, lowkey." It wasn't typical for Ling to show affection towards the people she cared about, or at least, not in this way. And in some ways, she didn’t even deserve to miss her “family”, cause herself being too harsh, mouthy, and hot-headed was what probably led to the Order’s fall. Touching someone’s fragile ego was enough to start a war, apparently, ans she still wasn’t over it. It didn't matter anyway, or at least, not anymore. Pocketed her phone, she looked behind for a couple more seconds, her sight bouncing from seat to seat while the ghosts of her friends started making their way once again into her mind. Locking the door behind her, Ling stood for a few seconds in front of the Noodle House's door, tossing the keys back and forth between her hands. The consciousness that all of those messages would've been left unanswered started settling down at the bottom of her chest. It was time to move on. The sound of the footsteps on the asphalt started fading away in the night. Once and for all. ______________________________________________ Any previous story can be read in the old The Four Seas Order thread. https://forum.eclipse-rp.net/topic/45260-the-four-seas-order/ _______________________________________________ After spending many months working on (mainly RP-based) Ling's character, I had for some time the idea of talking about the events that build-up to her leaving FSO and distancing herself from the criminal world, maybe with some further developments and projects I had with an asian-related business. But I recently realized that none of this stuff is compatible with what I want to pursue on my main (PD) character or my current interests. Ling’s arch is officially done as it is now and this is my final love letter to it, which had been written months ago but never published, leaving things left on-hold. Joining any other faction with it would go against (her) ideas, attitude, and past affiliations, going towards the gang-hopper path, which is not what I ever aimed for. Everything that’s written in this and eventual stories regarding her own development are NOT related to other criminal factions nor are ever meant to be taken on a Out-Of-Character level. My character’s feelings do not reprent my personal view and opinions regarding the current factions’s leaders, which I always showed respect for. However, I do not plan to come back to the criminal community any time soon, and if I do, it will be with a different character depending on the circumstances. Thank you for reading.
  12. +1 Needless to say that you've done (again) a great job. Hopefully these ideas will be implemented and improve the RP experience for both sides.
  13. [Rework] Group texts would be a great addition both in terms of criminal activities and leisure, however, I think we need to take into consideration that these groups would be eventually used to share radio frequencies and such. I’ve eventually found myself checking people’s phones as PD to retrieve information. I personally believe there should be a method to scriptly check the other’s personal phone, heavily RPed and with a command such as /checkphone that needs approval from the counterpart (like /frisk.) in order to avoid situations that needs a full transcription of the messages in aforementioned groups in /do or /ldo and ultimately ends up being vague.
  14. (some of these are pretty old but it's fine)
  15. I dare to say though that with an ongoing conclict involving multiple gangs (which many of them, as non official, rely on others) the need of orders increased as well, and with it the chances of getting at least few of them compromised. Those two things are strictly related, as well as what time you make the order. Matter of wiseness, if you ask me.
  16. -1 The system it's perfectly fine as it works right now. The chances of getting a shipment compromised are very low compared to your beliefs. And also, in my opinion, the fact that you don't completely understand nor know how it works 100%, it's exactly the point of why this system should remain untouched.
