Huge -1 gangs can have colors but shouldn't be aloud to claim that color so nobody else can use it. What they could do is add a function where gangs can tag their vehicles so they can track it if stolen? Even then not worth it. We all know that if u steal a gang vehicle and try to chop it, the gang is just going to metagame to find the chop shop but wont admit it.

Well the server is very "Cops and Crims" based. I understand that it is the players' jobs to create new roleplay opportunities (jobs, events etc.), but I think the higher-ups need to step in and actually change some physical features and functions to the game in order to influence people to steer away from cops and crims. By all means, keep the cops and crims but I think eclipse should steer towards a more well-rounded shape when it comes to roleplaying opportunity. Yes, there is more than just cops and crims. But it doesn't stick out like cops and crims does. For example, when I hopefully get to play eclipse again, I am going to try and branch out with some different things. well from my perspective it looks like hes just popping off on people for no reason (most of them). Even in a gunfight, you are suppose to use the /me and /do commands throughout the scene, instead of just popping off (hence the name, roleplay). I am surprised you got on good terms with all of the gangs just by visiting and giving them discounts. They are large and you would think most of them would not recognize you. Gangs are more unorganized than you think. They all look good on forums with their badges and their own pages about their history, but, they are all just ignorant scums that whine if they don't get their way. Think about it this way: There are ways to beat them in roleplay scenarios. Yes, I believe that most of the time they should still win if they have you at gunpoint, but they don't know how to lose, which is the problem. I think it would spice up and make the scenarios more colorful and interesting if something different could happen every now and then. Maybe the gangster misses their shot, causing the victim to pull out a gun and win. Or, the victim knows martial arts and quickly dodges the gangster. Something like that. You can't ignore the fact that 100% of the time if the gangster doesn't get to rob you and steal your map etc, they whine and cry and file reports, which turns into a forum war with unnecessary bans.When I was on the server I considered experimenting with this through different gangs by secretly joining multiple gangs at once. Just own all of the outfits and own multiple cars repping different colors. I would never get caught. I am surprised spying like that isn't already a thing. I might as well add on, I feel like gangs will always rely on their trusty /report command because the admins will always be on their side. Why? 1. They are in a "big faction" which automatically means they are an experienced roleplayer, so why would an admin even listen to the little players getting robbed? 2. They have connections. This is especially true for higher ranked members in their gangs, as they most likely have connections with admins and moderators. Heck, look at jay! He is part of the support staff and hes in a gang! I respect the mods and admins... BUT, I think they should not be allowed in public factions and groups. It is too biased. They should just make their own secret service or something or even better: do their job. Answer questions, provide info, respond to ban appeals, and make eclipse better. We need to crack down on gangs in general. The amount of times I have seen them report people by abusing the Fear RP and powergaming rules is insane. For example: A Zeta who is intending on robbing pulls up on a guy walking down the street. Zeta: On your knees! *the zeta points the pistol at the man* *suddenly, in the blink of an eye, the man does a somersault move into cover and then pulls out his gun* Zeta: Aye what fu-!!!!?!?!? *the two get into a shootout, the man beats the zeta and injures him* The Man: That's what you get man. Don't try and rob me. Zeta: /b what the f*** man! reported! reported! You broke Fear RP! I had you at gunpoint! argghhh im a gang member therefore I have to win in every scenario or else you are cheating! Arrrhghh *The man gets banned just because he defended himself with his martial arts skill* If the man were to take longer to react, then yes, he would be breaking the rules. All I am trying to say is there are ways to beat gang members and guns. They don't have to win every scenario and they always abuse the rules to do it. They will use their fancy little report command because they know a moderator will always take their side (especially if they are a higher ranked member in their gang, they most likely have connections with admins, mods, etc.) fun fact: this actually happened. not to me. This is where you are wrong. The comment you replied to has a great point. It is most apparent in gang members: They have to always win and if they don't they report. They totally abuse Fear RP and other rules because moderators and admins never pay attention to the gangs, just from what I have seen. Today I was scrolling through ban appeals and I found a guy who got banned for "breaking Fear RP" His ban was not appealed which I think is a mistake. There was a video attached. In the video the robber pulls up in a motorcycle and surprises him. The robber pulls a gun and about a half second later the guy getting robbed does a sweet martial-arts like somersault move and then injures the robber with his gun. The claim was that he had no fear for his life. That is so bogus. I think if he stood their for a few seconds instead of immediately dodging the robber then the claim would have been valid. But, he did the move so fast and completely played the robber. Then, when the robber got injured, he immediately was like "reported", which is so unfair! Robbers expect robberies and muggings to always go their way. If they dont, they immediately claim it is power gaming or breaking Fear RP. I apologize for not linking the clip, but I found it in the punishment appeals section. It was an awesome somersault move that totally threw the robber off for a few seconds. The robber was like "on your knees!" and then in a split second, bang bang! The robber was injured, crying like a baby: reported! reported! It is so bogus. This is going to be short and sweet, as I have elaborated on this before. I think there should be an opportunity for there to also be mobs. Not just gangs. The mobs would be a high class, secret society that would make much bigger scores than gangs. It would be awesome to see mobs and gangs tussle.
