Leaked Information Of Shipments Change Suggestion
Harley replied to Zoah's topic in Criminal Suggestions
Civilians already have the chance to get involved in the turf/ordering system just as much as criminals and PD by talking to the NPCs. Small talk and rumours already happen between people. A notification in the chat pretty much prevents any of this RP from happening by making these things automated. And civilian organisations getting these tip offs from the chat box makes even less sense than PD and Crim getting it. if you want to be involved in these shipments, just do it the same way everyone else should be, by talking to the NPCs. Not only does this make more sense RPly, you’re physically being told something by interacting with a person, rather than a notification in chat, but it also brings into the element of learning about these things. It makes much more sense you learning from a friend of a friend where these people hang out, and learning who you should talk to if you wish to find out this sort of information, than a business randomly getting a “criminal shipment leak” sent to their phones. A retail store manager realistically would never get illegal shipment information happening in their state unless them themselves are hunting for that information, simply being employed by a company, or being the manager, doesn’t automatically opt them into a criminal underworld marketing email lmao Just my two cents on your idea, personally, I’m not a fan of the automated notifications, period. Never mind civilians getting these too... -

So you think realistically a large scale criminal cartel would allow information as sensitive as highly illegal shipments to be discoverable by civilians with no interest in finding this information? Not trying to start an argument, more genuinely interested in your thought process of how this would work -

Making sinks/bathrooms a water source to refill water bottles
Harley replied to This_is_Alex's topic in Civilian Suggestions
+1, pretty much just a quality of life change that has the side effect of making cooking just a tiny bit easier. There is no risk in the current system of going outside to get water, it’s just annoying. If every suggestion that is made that had the side effect of giving crim just the tiniest of buffs, for some reason it turns into a “State of Crim RP” discussion or people get funny about implementing crim buffing updates? -
Leaked Information Of Shipments Change Suggestion

You state that the notification in chat got enabled recently, which i think is the main issue here, PD have the same ability to interrogate NPCs if they have suspicion or a 911 call, which is the exact same thing that crims can do, however PD gets free armoured cars, Carbines, 200 armour and the knowledge that you can kill whoever you want who contests you without being put in an AFK simulator for 10 hours. Saying it’s balanced because PD has the same chances to comp a drop as criminals is looking at it based solely off of stats. If you look at facts, PD are 10x as strong as crims, with an official Discord that you’re allowed to tag SWAT in to get them online/on duty for these operations. (Effectively telling everybody offline that shit is about to go down, so get online quick) PD should if anything have LESS chances to comp a drop than criminals in order to make it balanced, because a comped by PD drop is a gone drop, unless you have 30 people around ready to risk getting put in DOC for 10 hours, being forced to AFK or deal with people finding any excuse to DM, as well as losing 100k worth of guns and Kevlar. In conclusion, delete the chat notification system again, nobody except PD liked it -

My point is, the notification in chat seems pointless and unrealistic when PD and Crim has the interrogation feature already. Just get rid of the chat notification and it solves all problems. That way, it brings more realism to the compromising of drops, and also only brings PD that are online/on duty into the RP, because it would be announced in a 10-1 or Radio, rather than in chat even if you’re off duty. -
Leaked Information Of Shipments Change Suggestion

I don't think people are understanding the suggestion. It's not suggesting to change the odds, it's suggesting to change the "Snitch" mechanic to be more in line with how the Turf system works. PD gets notifications in chat when they get the alert for shipments, why not make it so they can interrogate the NPC like crims can? The suggestion is to make the "Snitch" mechanic more realistic and make more sense in RP, not to make it more or less fair in RNG. -

+1. Even back when I was in SWAT this system made no sense. If PD/DB would like to be involved in shipments, shouldn’t it make more sense DB sending detectives out to interrogate the NPCs the same way is illegal faction members can? This would not only make much more sense RPly, but would also introduce PD into the crim system, allowing them to have interactions with the NPCs and turf systems. -
+1. Would make quality of life for Crims so much easier

Henlo my fellow criminal friendos Today I'd like to suggest a new script be added to Crim RP, I'll be explaining why something like it is needed, and what I think would be a good addition to fix the issues brought up in this thread. Money Laundering As official factions, as part of the Turf Update a core activity that most of us are required to do is either Bank Robberies or Store Robberies to launder Packed Cash through the Businessmen NPC's in our turfs. The continued decay in influence on top of the growing Criminal RP community means that this activity has become more common and an almost daily activity. On top of this, more factions are learning the best ways to rob banks, and banks are robbed the minute that they reopen via the script. The fact that there are only 4 Fleeca Banks to be shared between all of these Official Factions is starting to become a problem. I find it as a daily occurance that My Faction and Another would arrive at a bank at the same time, and would have to argue about who gets to rob it. It's known by everyone in Crim RP that General Stores barely give any money or Influence when you launder the Packed Cash to the Businessmen NPCs, so we are forced to just manage our Launderers via Bank Robberies alone. Counterfeit Cash My suggestion is simple, add a script very similar to the already existing Drug Tables script to allow players to forge some counterfeit cash at home, which would give Packed Cash that said player can then go launder to their Businessmen NPC's. This script would be almost identical to the Drug Tables script, you would be able to purchase Counterfeit Cash Forgery Tables through the import system, and you would be able to "cook" Counterfeit Cash on this table, which you could then sell to these Businessmen to launder into clean cash. The only difference I would say would be good for these cash items, would be that you are unable to unpack them with a knife. RPly this cash would be counterfeit cash, and so would not be able to be used for regular purchases like normal cash. So instead this cash must be laundered through the NPC, which would also promote more Criminal RP between Official Factions and Non-Official Factions and Criminals Inspiration for Developers Linked below is a video by The Infographics show to explain how Counterfeit Money is made if the Developers need inspiration. I may edit this post as it goes on if I find any other material that I believe may benefit the developers with inspiration, etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0ZhqStOwhc I'm happy to discuss this more in the comments. It's just a suggestion so please leave your comments and ideas below! Thanks

Not sure if you read my post, but it wasn't a simple -1. I read your suggestion and disagree that any actions need to happen, which is why I posted -1. The rule is a complex one, but that's because it's a large scale issue. When it first came around, I took my time to ask as many questions as I could think of to make sure I understand everything about the rule to cascade to my Faction members. I know that Faction Leaders from Daichead Gadai also did the same with their Faction Handlers. As leaders it is our responsibility to learn the rule and everything there is to know about it. The rules of ECRP as a whole can't be 10 paragraphs for each rule. They are phrased in a way to make it clear and simple to understand in a short read, but every rule has more context to it the more you look into it. This rule is no exception. With every new rule or change to ECRP, there is bound to be confusion and growing pains, which is why as leaders we all took the opportunity to ask questions and fully understand the rule to prevent any of us breaking said rule. You have Faction Handlers for a reason. Use them.

Your suggestion is to change the rule to make it "Just don't allow joint freqs, but allow the rest" That's what I'm -1'ing. No need to take offense.

-1 I couldn't have said it better than Lola did. This rule is extremely important to keep around. The responsibility comes down to Faction Leaders to ensure each and every single member of their faction, prospect or not, understands the rule, what they can and cannot do, and most importantly, why it's important and what it's here for. Personally, I find the rule quite easy to understand. As High Command in an Official Criminal Faction it is my responsibility to ask as many questions as I can think of to our Faction Handlers to ensure that we as a faction understand the rule in it's entirety. I can then relay this information to the members of my Faction to ensure everyone understands it completely. Faction Management are there to help you, and your Faction Management meetings should be taken advantage of. Ask questions to your Handlers if something is unclear, they are there to help your Faction grow and become something everyone can be proud of. TL;DR: The rule is simple to understand and is worded fine. Any uncertainties are your responsibility to set straight by asking your Faction Handlers.

Thank you, very cool

Jason, this suggestion is to add the ability to drink more if you wanted to. Real Life doesn't have a script that stops you lifting a bottle to your mouth after one drink... This suggestion just adds the ability for people to drink lots if they want to, which then allows for more RP, like alcoholism or MD RP.

Looks promising, good luck. Can't wait to see what kinda RP you get up to
