  1. Principles Business is booming, operations have never been running smoother and alliances have never been stronger. Shoot for the moon, if you fall short you'll still make it amongst the stars is the motto, stopping or turning back isn't an option. The prospects are rightfully making names for themselves as they take baby steps to become fully-fledged members of the family. Running drugs, sticking stores up and having a drink with the guys and gals is a daily as we grow stronger, show our true selves and bond with our brothers and sisters to achieve a common goal, as long as we're alive and healthy and the beer is ice cold, green is gold.
  2. Watching the prospects. Counting guests during a stick-up. Assembly. Collateral damage.
  3. the suggestion is great overall but in addition to it i'd maybe add an option similar to something the DCC has where you can order a taxi or luxury vehicle. i'd have two options, the doctors coming to you if the situation has so to say has cooled down and the area is clear or an alternate drop off point is created nearby for your friend to be delivered to away from the area they were injured at if police is still present or a threat. the timer is a great proposal as well and the variable of police showing up from time to time would be amazing.
  4. Humble beginnings The cold, cloudy November nights had Kris in despair, hopelessly wandering around looking for a new home but his every effort was nothing short of futile. Picked up by his friends he was present to the newly growing posse with similar goals of getting names for themselves. Kris being relatively unknown he was picked up by one of the recruiters called LD who had a task of forging a new generation, a new bloodline of members which would be deeply carved in the foundation that the group lies on. Making friends wasn't easy, time passed by but Kris sticked by his established circle which would diminish his opportunity to prosper and make a name for himself. Heavily relying on his own knowledge and skills, he did what he knew best, to improvise. Being involved in numerous chases his face was starting to appear on pictures which detectives of the LSPD carefully collected and compiled case files. Driving his beloved Futo, he was picked off by investigators driving civilians cars and was rounded up for questioning. Kris knew going out after something like that would effect his image among his brothers and sisters, he kept shut as he was aware of the consequences that would befall if he was to break. He goes out to serve his doings in hopes that when he comes out, he would be greeted with open arms and gifts, but there was always a little doubt in his head that he isn't good enough or respected enough which was tearing him up on the inside as the cold prison wall was caressing his back. The seeds of hate towards the police are planted as they slowly grow in the subconsciousness of Kris, altering his thinking and making him a more complete person for the tasks he is given. His hate is apparent as he can be seen doing petty crimes just to provoke the police in hopes to enrage them. He uses social media to propagate hate that would be noticed in the lines of his fellow soldiers. Downfall After a successful coup of the LSPD during a gang hit Kris was involved in, everything changed, it opened the eyes of many but his vision was clouded by his good that he overlooked all the wrong he has done. During an assembly the high command has created to reflect on the recent events Kris was brought up to the table to pay his dues. Facts are said, evidence has been show but Kris wasn't buying it, he was told to pay his due or to drop the color, the rest is history. He promptly drops his bandana leaving the meeting in a short-term grudge wondering how his family could've done this to him. Time flies by as he sits in his apartment looking through old pictures, going out only to get food and see friends to have a drink with. He lays in his bed with no clear future, awaiting a new chance. Recognition His phone suddenly buzzes as it interrupts his favorite TV show, he glances over the phone as he immediately notices a name he is very familiar with, they exchange words as Kris was met with sheer joy. He goes out to contact his old friend Michael who was an already know and well established member he had to sever ties with relatively quickly. His brothers once again greet him with open arms as if nothing changed, as everyone comes to a mutual understanding. Back on track He sets out to regain the trust and respect he possessed before his sudden departure, being on shaky ground, his confidence rises as he adapts to any given issue that is brought upon him, to shine in a better, brighter light in front of the big dogs.
  5. Setting the record straight.
  6. +1 its really simple and the old, stale inventory could use some makeup, would be nice if we could move it around and have it wherever we want on our screen as well!
  7. The past After heavy involvement in the gang dispute that was present to him, Kris found himself having to fight the enemy he fears the most. The idea was to show up to the call the investigation bureau had sent to Kris to disinform the department of his doings, trying to cover up his trail, but it was nothing but a poor attempt of the street rat Kris is considered. He was bombarded with questions that allowed the detective to get the info he needed, leaving Kris in doubt. Realizing what he has let himself into, he promptly ends the conversation, asking the officer to escort him out as he knew that nothing went according to plan. Before leaving, he was presented with a few pictures in which himself was found driving his old Futo, the officer had informed him that this picture was taken while chasing a suspect of a triple homicide a block down, Kris was left speechless. As Kris leaves the station, he strongly reconsiders his job opportunities as he is swallowed into a pit of emotions as he enters his car to drive home. A long drive back had Kris thinking of his future and what 'dirt' the police might have on him and his brothers. The hood mentality plays a big role in his 'career' as he must not find himself snitching to benefit himself or others. Left under the impression that he is on top, he came back to his house after an exhausting day, laying down on his bed as he listens to the sound of the microwave heating up his pizza slices from yesterday thinking everything will be fine... The present What could've been a routine traffic stop for Kris turned out to be a switch up in roles, a turn of tides. He had an outstanding warrant for his arrest, not knowing what awaits, he follows the instructions of the friendly officer as he is detained. Thinking his car might be checked, a man out of uniform in a vest he is very familiar with approaches him, taking pictures of him and his vehicle. He knew what was going on from that moment, the detectives are back on track. He does nothing as he stands mute, eyeing the detective as he ravages his car, turning it over entirely checking for anything illegal he can find to document before his departure, nothing was found. He is promptly escorted to a cruiser as his vehicle is taken to the impound. A long drive yet again, but in the back of a squad car, Kris yet again doubts his decision making as he strongly reconsiders his job options, this isn't paying the bills anymore. He weeps as he sits on the cold prison bench once again taking a moment to think what he did wrong, he sits with blank thoughts, he counts sheep trying to fall asleep as the ununiformed jockeys haunt him in his dreams. He memorizes names, faces and places making his list that he is yet to decide what to do with, he knows where to begin, the same face covered with glasses and a beard that has been following his every step. To be continued...
  8. This is an example where roleplay suffers just because of OOC tensions. It's no nuclear physics, when people die to a rival gang member or get a forum report resolved against them they seriously start to change their way of approach and how they think. I've been banned myself for almost 3 weeks now and just now as I am looking back at all the negativity and bad reputation it has given both groups over nothing but loot, this isn't real life where you kill a rival gang member(s) in a fight and they're gone for good, no, they wait 30 minutes, rearm and it keeps repeating itself. OOC tension is guaranteed and we all know how that effects roleplay - largely. A server that 'depends on' gang roleplay has no special rules or guidelines in store for them which makes gangs resort to this type of warfare, playing dirty, IC or OOC. You are very right when it comes to the diplomacy issue, but I am quite sure that some gangs tend to have a more realistic approach and some not, it really depends on the situation, but for the most part, it's usually a healthy, respectful relationship. Everyone that replied had a lengthy paragraph and that just shows that this isn't an issue of one person, it should concern the whole server as criminal roleplay largely impacts the roleplay that emergency services have and get. I hope faction management has a glimpse of the topic and can come up with something, if anything, maybe the gang leaders can come to a mutual understanding.
  9. I think everyone should have the freedom of 'showing off' their roleplay at an given time without any interference of the Faction Management team, after all, this is a roleplay server. Regardless of the people, theme or goals, everyone should have a chance of painting their canvas to show off in hopes to make an official faction. If by 'no future' you mean bland and pointless roleplay then you have my vote. I am strongly against constant gun fights and chases because they literally benefit nothing whatsoever but asserting 'dominance' for the next half hour while the opposing gang regroups, gets guns and the fighting continues. The rules have no leniency to them which hurts roleplay and limits roleplaying opportunities. Driving around the city looking for green, white, grey, black, blue cars or whatever the color may be just to shoot them sounds pretty bland to me. I now rarely see (not saying that it isnt around) people 'repping the set' on the block (sitting in the hood, corner dealing, tagging walls, breaking the car windows of the opposition etc) in hopes to get a higher up to see them and get that pep talk to keep the work up. I myself drive a semi-truck and run over everyone that I chase because I have no other options, I can not tag a wall in a designated area that the opposing gang claimed because as soon as they see my car someone will call for backup, get an unnecessary amount of people to mock you while you're on your knees trying to roleplay begging for dear life, most likely to get shot, my head shaved and my mental capacity decreased by whatever unit is used, but we'll say 10. Why don't we enforce stronger rules that prevent this, I absolutely loved when NLA had the old, cheap cars out in their hood, just drinking, barbecuing and resorting to a store robbery every now and then to buy more beer haha. No gangsters, not that I am one, but I am very well sure they don't go on a 4 hour killing spree to steal pistols or a 'heavy' to lock up in their safe. People that are hungry, have no money and no vision often turn to crime, but not this kind, they resort to the kind we see every day, purse stealing, stick ups and selling dope. The server goes something like this (for criminals), make money - buy a gun - go cook - shoot someone - get robbed (die) - lose the gun - repeat, we need more variables in that cycle enforced by rules, or the gang scene has to sit down and rethink what they're doing. I completely forgot about this, adding turfs would be a great addition to the server and maybe they could bring some benefit if captured? I've mentioned this in the hefty paragraph above, fighting all the time makes no sense, the main goal of any gang, cartel or crime organisation is to profit first and foremost, everything else comes later. Everything else besides gang HQs (or with some leniency) is fine, everyone wants a somewhat safe haven to roleplay in that isnt an NCZ, and a gang HQ is just that. Show off the numbers, the fancy cars, clothes and the bulges of your waist line so everyone knows you are no joke. Again, leniency needs to be added to the rules, roleplay doesn't consists of yes or no, one or zero, its something we make on the fly, but if you have rules grounding you, its very hard to go outside the box which is enforced by beams that are the rules. The risk of staking a hood of a rival gang that wants your head on a pole is too high, where is the roleplay in that, I've never heard two rival gangs, or cartels (irl) go at it in their own back yard, a good saying goes, you dont shit where you eat. Besides that, we all know what gang wars and violence is limited to 'hands, hands' 'put your hands up dumb bitch' 'on your knees'. To sum it up, bloods dont go in a crip hood wearing red, if you do that, you're most likely dead before you have the chance to reconsider what you did. I can somewhat agree, the server has various but common interest points which rival gangs usually come across over. You dont have an east and west side where one gang holds one side and the other one holds the remainder. I wish, this is an example, NLA held the north or east, and WCA held the south or west, and they can somewhat safely wear their colors with the possibility of rival gangs entering their zone with an occasional drive-by, because thats how gangs settle things, loud and sloppy, the importance of sending a message. Totally agree, but not everyone wants to have two sets of clothes that they want to swap out and a spare car that is beige so they don't get shot. I just don't understand how the admin team hasn't noticed the trend of complaints between gangs and refused to take action, there is obviously something wrong or faulty with the way we do things.
