  1. Hello, apologies for bumping the thread, I would like to drop my side of the report as I have resolved it with the reported party as we have come to a mutual understanding.
  2. The suggestion is very aesthetically pleasing and would definitely find use on the server. It is highly unlikely that a few lines of code would mess with the backbone or hardcode of the server, very clean and simple suggestion. Hopefully the devs can experiment with this system and create something more complex that could find extensive use on the server. +1
  3. I will also add my last input as it seems there is no point to argument anything with the reported party as they wholeheartedly believe there is nothing wrong with what they did. "It does not take very long to have people drop their weapons and packed money on the floor. ~15-30 seconds max unless people are stalling RP. We were not outnumbered 2:1. We had more people in the vicinity and in the parking lot area than you did." "We had people all up and down the highway." You seem like a decent, smart guy, but I firmly believe I would have to literally draw everything for you to understand what I am trying to tell you. Watch both clips, in the 2nd video on the 0:20 mark you can hear blaring sirens and even see lights from the front of the bank, you claim you had people up and down the highway meaning they would inform you of police presence, why stay? Why put everything on the line knowing danger is near? Are you lying about their presence? In what world do you have 30 seconds to rob 5 people of their belongings while nearly the entirety of a police force is pouring in, some units even being present on scene. If I am liable to lose something that does not mean you are at a gain, you are liable to lose several things with that kind of engagement. You can lose the same if not more, you are fundamentally disregarding your character so you can maybe make my job harder or as you commonly bring up the gang affiliation and influence excuse, petty. " 4. You lose out on $50,000+ worth of guns by being arrested, or losing your life to PD in a shootout. 5. You lose out on $50,000+ in prison fines and spend 10+ hours (ICly many years) collectively in prison. " The moral of the story is, you got absolutely nothing from what you did as expected, if anything you lost something at best, you absolutely could not have gotten anything if you use common sense, you took the engagement without positively identifying us as gang affiliated as you remain to use it as an excuse, if you hit a random group of people you could still justify your actions by saying 'they're rooks, we're enemies', that can not and will not hold up.
  4. Some of your statements are paradoxical, you first say you saw bikes behind the bank and people aiming at the tellers then later in your reply you say 'We knew you were going to rob the bank before you even started.' You act as if a bank robbery is a street stick-up where you can just forge a 30 seconds plan to get away with 'the loot, money and influence', sadly, things do not work that way, and no, we were not taking as large of a risk as you were, you were the factor that was multiplying the risk and involving yourself into it and using at as an excuse. From the video evidence you can obviously see that the majority of the bikes left and police came 5 or so seconds after, how do you plan on sticking us up in a parking lot of a bank robbery, individually stripping a group of assailants that outnumber you 2:1 in time and getting away, blasphemy, funnily enough you have an excuse for everything. In regards to the demands, it is obvious and apparent abuse of the /shout function, if you were to use VOIP and shout at the same time you pasted that demand into chat, nobody, and I mean nobody would hear you, especially from inside the building where some of us were coming from, you knew there was no way for you to take what we had taken from the bank so you decided the best course of action is to empty your clip and leave. Here, hypothetical question, we exit the bank, your demands work and 5 people are on their knees, 3 scouts still roam freely and are a danger, police are actively pouring in and SWAT is already geared up since the alarm has been going on for well over a minute, what do you do? "Yes because large amounts of money, influence, and weapons are not enough reason." You surely must be joking, because a large jail sentence, fine and even death are something to easily disregard with your 'backup Chumash, rooks robbing bank' plan, robbing a bank alone is not to be taken lightly, but trying to rob someone at the scene of one and entering a mass shootout goes beyond any sane head.
  5. If we are being honest, this rule is being disregarded on a daily basis and that goes without saying. Myself being involved in mass conflict and the only official war on the server I know for a fact this rule is not enforced as much as it should be, so does everyone else, and should receive proper revision with clear guidelines, restrictions, do's and dont's. In regards to people pointing out there is no potential for future roleplay and that wars can be technically ended in one fight, this is not true believe it or not, NLR has not received any enforcement in the first official war, ever, nor it will besides the 30 minute rule which should definitely stay in place. If people or groups seek to capitalize on one issue to convey and produce even more issues for the sole purpose of sparking wide-spread, constant conflict then I totally disagree with this. This rule is here for a reason, and it is to prevent people from having a reason to constantly escalate unnecessarily just to produce more issues, chaining and looping them as they seek justify their actions. +1 to groups/people being able to capitalize on reoccurring issues and conflict -1 to groups/people escalating/capitalizing unnecessarily based on past interactions, singular or diminutive
  6. It is an issue at large, the rules are very simplified in a way that abusing them is relatively easy, I do not prefer using the term vague but some rules do have apparent loopholes and roleplay in general is suffering because of this. Hopefully the staff team can clear this up and define ruleplay as a rule breach and issue clear and strict punishments. +1
  7. Player(s) being reported: 222, 206, 3, 252 Date of interaction reported: 9/9/2020 Unix time stamp from HUD: 1599673141 Your characters name: Kris Davis Other player(s) involved: Several people Specific rule(s) broken: 15. Player Theft, Prison Breakout, and Kidnapping Robberies should be conducted in a realistic manner with reasonable in-character motive using secluded areas. Players should not conduct minor robberies in situations with high risk. Desert or forest areas are considered secluded but witnesses should still be considered. One cannot force victims to withdraw money, sell script assets, or give assets not present IC. One cannot steal from players with NEW PLAYER above their head unless they have deliberately taken part in an active crime scene in which protection is temporarily lost. Players may not steal from their faction treasury as the F4 menu is OOC. Permission for prison break must be approved by a Senior Moderator+ prior to the attempt. Players may participate in no more than 1 prison break attempt within 1 OOC week. Players are allowed to kidnap or to take other players hostage for these specific reasons: • You have to have a roleplay reason to attack the victim in accordance with the DM rules. • If you attempt to commit robbery of a property, you are allowed to hold the players within that property until you have finished the robbery. An NPC is not a valid hostage. • All included players may not take another hostage for 1 OOC week if police are involved. 9. Non-Roleplay (NRP) Actions that are unrealistic or promote poor quality roleplay are considered as non-roleplay. Players are required to remain IC at all times. RP can only be paused or voided by admins. If a crash / disconnect occurs, players must post in the crash reports discord channel and contact all parties to resume. Players reconnecting must be given all opportunities held prior. Players should not instigate situations they do not have time to play through. If a player is chased they must wait 15 minutes before they can log out of the game. Players can’t depict their character with real images or game images not possible on ECRP. Examples: Ignoring RP, baiting government services without proper IC reason, asking to be killed or forcing your own death, unrealistic stunt jumping, misusing expensive vehicles, using script work vehicles for other purpose, submerging any vehicle in water intentionally, swimming for an unrealistic amount of time in a chase, or stealing from / tampering with an OOC F4 menu. 14. Deathmatch (DM) Deathmatching is the act of attacking a player without a proper IC motive and interaction. Prior interaction should include escalation such as a robbery or a report to the police. Players may not kill victims who have complied with a plausible demand in reasonable time unless involved in severe hostile activity against them or an ally within 3 hours. Players on foot should only be attempted to be hit with a vehicle once with valid motive. Vehicles cannot be used as weapons in active shootouts unless where unavoidable. Players must be able to explain their reason and provide proof of prior reasoning if requested. If a player informs you that your VOIP isn’t working, you must either fix your VOIP using appropriate commands or use text to deliver your demand. How did the player break the rule(s)? Very self-explanatory from the evidence provided, the reported party was camping outside of the bank after hearing the alarm had went off. Several things are wrong with this, and I'll do my best to eloquently elaborate the nonsense that occurred. Players knowing stay in the vicinity of an armed bank robbery with heavy weapons with no clear goal in sight, they shot us down and reportedly left immediately after doing so. They put themselves in extreme danger of prosecution and even death for no reason whatsoever, they gained nothing from this, from my knowledge nobody was arrested showing there was no plan in hind sight but to disrupt the bank robbery for no reason. They are well aware of the threat law enforcement posed for us and them and completely disregarded that, if they were shot back at and injured the loss on their side would be large with no clear motive. There was nothing realistic about this situation, I do not know what went into the thought process of these individuals but I expect for them to have evidence regarding this and a very good reason for doing so. I will allow the reported parties to post their comments before directing any further questions or concerns, thank you. 8. Please archive this, we've resolved this internally.
  9. I appreciate the truthfulness of your replies, but justifying what you did makes no sense. I understand you had 30 people but it does not allow you to disregard your life and safety for your duration in the lab, we know the violent roleplay regarding labs and we all know what kind of people enter them, armed and dangerous. What kind of roleplay were you trying to engage in while acting as bait? You say 'Yo bro' and act like a sitting duck, knowing I can not hurt you because the rules disallow me and wait for your backup to roll in, you are telling me I could not have killed you or harmed you at least 5 times in that 1 minute and something seconds you were alone in the lab with the 5 people you frequently mention? You admitted to your actions and tried to reason them, I respect that, me as the reporting party can not comprehend how this can be justified. In regards to 'my faction' doing the same I have nothing to add, you are free to post a complaint, if someone else breaks rules it does not allow you to do so as well, and yes, Jimmy spoke to me over Discord regarding the complaint but we could not reach a common agreement, hopefully the staff team can resolve this in the way it is suitable for both parties.
  10. Player(s) being reported: ID 59 Date of interaction reported: 4/9/2020 Unix time stamp from HUD: 1599225456 Your characters name: Kris Davis Other player(s) involved: - Specific rule(s) broken: 9. Fear Roleplay (FRP) Fear RP is showing appropriate care and concern to preserve your character's safety and life. If a player's life is in direct danger they must RP adequate fear and comply with demands. If an attacker lowers their weapon to type, victims which were under fear RP remain as so. A player is not showing proper fear if they run while on foot/bike or in an unpowered vehicle and a weapon is aimed at them at close range, or if they drive into an active shootout more than once without the intent of providing cover or fleeing with it. A player still has the option to react if they are in a powered vehicle, if they already have a weapon drawn facing their attacker, or if their attacker's view is obstructed by an object. How did the player break the rule(s)? Player knowingly enters drug lab riddled with gang members and proceeds to act as bait, he previously entered the lab and scouted the area, left, came 5 or so minutes later to trigger DM rights for the attacking group. He obviously used the OOC barrier regarding engagements, knowing that we can not shoot him and/or harm him without prior interaction. Player has been messaged to save his side of things accordingly, and before the player argues that he 'did not know' we were there, I would like to point out the lightning quick arrival of his allies once he has been engaged upon, obviously ruleplay and disregard for his safety and life. 11. Hello, I intended on refraining from posting but I will have out point out some inconsistencies in your stories and generalities that make no sense. What exactly classifies as an 'attempt to take' a turf, from my knowledge the menu that Vince provided in regards to the influence is OOC, I can not comprehend how a gang would know their influence in an exact area to the dot, and to know the presence of the opposing gang at the same time, realistically, a gang would feel presence of another entity if their prices start dropping, imports are getting harder, that all stands, but why would it have to be The Rooks that hold it? Is it because we have F4 and someone else does not? If you look at this from a valid standpoint any organized group could take control of a turf with the necessary tools and work, but they can not, because being an official faction is an OOC status, just like the turf system. Your reason for attacking us is for owning a turf that you want? Okay. So I suppose we are encouraged to come to your headquarter and attack at will so we can retaliate, the turf system is dynamic, it is predicted to change and fluctuate and this goes without saying, seeing a number change on your screen does not seem like a valid reason to attack a group of people that do not represent themselves as Rooks, are not a threat, do not look like one and seek no conflict. All of your replies seem to be distancing themselves from the primary issue here which is the Player Theft/NonRP part, the evidence provided will be reviewed and they will act on the deathmatch part accordingly. I do not understand how robbing a group of individuals would effect your control at a turf a mile down the road, once again an inconsistency within all of your replies as you use the 'my turf' argument to attack us, what classifies us as Rooks and as a threat? Why do you feel safe mounting a roof with heavy weapons next to the pier (a know crowded area) with an argument that the group you are attacking 'turns to police' (which you believe wholeheartedly by the looks of it) when in danger, exposing yourself to prosecution regardless of the imminent threat, just to get a pistol from the hip of a person you do not know? Hopefully you can understand that an outlined piece of land on your GPS and me standing on it does not really allow you to attack and camp at will, I firmly believe that is not how things work on the server or in real life. I would also like to mention the 'disgusting roleplay' rule that was recently implemented, which you completely disregarded, as you mounted the roof and called people 'retarded ni**ers'. From my knowledge the usage of slurs like this is forbidden unless involved parties agree so beforehand, completely unnecessary from a gang leader and staff member, recent changes try to suppress racism, and as much as you would like to argue that what you did was completely in character, it was wrong and unnecessary, the people you engaged on were not black or part of a gang constipated of people of color, I see no reason to use such harsh wording. Turf yet again. How do you know we have a warehouse there? Is it because it says so on the door because the UI pops up? Is it because there is an OOC limitation on building only around warehouses? I can keep repeating myself but I doubt that will have any effect as you pushed a lie so much that it became the truth. Retaliation for an imaginary number dropping on your screen on a turf which you do not even own. I have mentioned this in previous complaints, what makes me a Rook? What makes a turf a turf? All of these have answers but are of OOC nature and you disregard that completely. Thanks for your POV by the way, we get a lot of information from this as well, such as radio comms clearly reading 'they're just chilling, is useless', at 0:42 on your Youtube video you jokingly enough encourage a member to call the police, we were on that roof for at least 15 minutes and your engagement alone took 5, if you were so determined in 'getting back' at us, why not do it right away?
  12. Hello, I will provide additional POVs as requested, hopefully they allow you to broaden evidence range and assist you to conclude this situation in a timely manner. I would also like to add that in the third clip you can clearly hear one of the people saying, as I paraphrase 'we will take an L on this one, we will go to prison', so once again to prove my point, they knowingly engage without any prior situation leading up to this to rob us of guns we may or may not have, I was not searched, my identity was never confirmed so the only reason they mounted the roof was to spark a gunfight, with that being said, adding onto the deathmatch part, in the third clip as well you can barely hear the recording party speaking, blatantly shooting me after I comply to every demand as they got provoked up to the point where they could not stand it and had to shoot me after muttering 'be quiet'. I will refrain from posting further comments unless asked so from staff members, I hope my input is considered. https://streamable.com/2aw165 https://streamable.com/3xou8k https://streamable.com/c0v93n
  13. I believe the function was removed to improve and promote better quality roleplay, being able to use your phone and not radio is a valid argument, yes, the system has inconsistencies but removing the ability to use your radio is a relative gray area, what if my phone died and my only resort is to use my radio to save my life? As previously mentioned people usually shout and give callouts over the radio while gravely injured which to me has a counter-effect, you are most likely to get shot and 'finished' for using it rather than not, if you really value your life you are going to focus on getting help, not telling a group of people about the whereabouts of your enemies rather than your location and seeking medical attention. +/- maybe we can reintroduce the usage of the radio while injured with some guidelines in place, for the better or worse.
  14. No major events led up to this, nothing escalated up to the point where this kind of engagement and conflict was necessary. We as a group were planning on furnishing this area, adding a few couches, adjusting the stairs that are currently in place, all in all minding our own business in the vicinity of our warehouse, nothing illegal was taking place. For around 20 minutes or so (unsure about the exact time) we were orchestrating a building session to improve the overall look of our surroundings, after which the group decided to engage. Them grouping up was poking our eye, but we were not expecting escalation ICly or OOCly, ICly them not having a valid reason, not identifying us as threats yet going by their hunch, and OOCly by recent rules set by FM and general server protocol and rules. I am keen on uploading 20 minutes of footage of me running on a roof and using my radio, I'll provide a snipped of what was taking place before they engaged. I would also like to note down that before their noteworthy stunt they called for an admin regarding our building permission where the situation was paused for a short while. This is no longer acceptable, the boredom of the 5 gang council is taking a toll, camping non player characters hours on end, obviously metagaming by referring to us as 'Rooks', many people can not comprehend the fact 'The Rooks' were dismantled months ago, leaving no trace of them, I know this as I aided in their destruction, but since I am in the F4, have access to shipments that automatically makes me a target, and gives them a /valid/ reason to engage at will. Not a fan of writing endless paragraphs but I have no other way to express my distress and sorrow about the way things are, I hope faction management can set clear guidelines, constant attacks are deemed as non-rp and should fall under the War system, we've agreed that camping turfs and pointless fights are unnecessary and should be disallowed, yet they occur once again. Snipped of the 'events' beforehand.
