  8. Hi there! I brought this topic up in a staff meeting that was on the next Saturday relative to this post. After a lengthy discussion, we arrived at the general conclusion that players should be holding themselves accountable for their usage of OOC chat. If need be, we will step in and guide a player in the right direction if they're failing to utilize OOC chat in its intended manner. Additionally, you are always welcomed to ignore a player's OOC chat if it's not pertaining to something important, IE informing you someone's game has crashed, they're bugged, they're lagging, etc. Please use your best judgement when making this decision. We encourage players to report if they feel there's a rulebreak present, however in doing so we also ask that you remain in-character as much as possible and attempt to not disrupt the situation by ending up in an endless /b discussion. All situations can be reversed via our moderation staff and, if need be, our refund request system. As this has been discussed and subsequently concluded, this will now be locked and archived. Thank you all for participating.

  19. Highly agree, I love using items like this but there's just not that many at the moment.
  20. This was removed with the uniform update to account for different variations. It's not a bug, it's intentional. Locked & archived.
  21. We always have relation to each other in staff based reports. As someone who reviewed that report extensively, there is absolutely no bias within that ruling whatsoever. I can guarantee you that every single one of us who viewed and discussed that report all came to the same conclusion. She was not allowed to make that conclusion on her own, it was discussed with and ultimately decided by senior staff because there were staff members being reported. This will now be locked and archived as it is very obviously not a suggestion, but rather a targeted post towards a member of the staff team based on a report outcome you were unhappy with.
  22. Please keep this thread on the topic of realistic use of force rather than the actions of specific players. Failure to do so will result in the thread being locked.
  23. We have punished for this since at least 2019, but I'm unsure as to the consistency of it. Any time I have seen it mentioned in staff conversations or in-game reports the answer has generally been to not do it.
  24. Just a disclaimer - this is not to say that we're changing how we're enforcing anything or have enacted a new policy, nor am I speaking on behalf of any policies or other staff members, but we have seen movement in a direction where we're holding more people accountable for unrealistic actions even if it's based around the force continuum. A police handbook does not negate whether or not someone's actions are realistic. If your handbook said you can shoot anyone you know has an illegal gun on them regardless of whether or not they're an active threat, that wouldn't save you from server rules. A few players have already been punished by or warned about this. While yes this can be handled by IA, IA does not account for whether or not the actions of a player make realistic sense. Everyone is held to the same rules, but some have admittedly gotten away with a different standard. We're doing our best to demonstrate that standard being the same for ALL players within the context of the situation and character with every change we push. Please hold us accountable and speak with the appropriate points of contact to report anything you suspect as bias or otherwise questionable treatment. Please be prepared to provide proof and ample reasoning as to why you believe this. All section heads & assistant heads can be seen here on our roster. Follow this chain of escalation: Assistant Head of X, Head of X, Head Administrator. I think it goes without saying, but this means you move upwards in that order depending on whether or not the previous one has not answered you within 48 hours or if you need to report someone within those positions. Hold us accountable and improvement will follow.
