  1. Date and time (provide timezone): 15-2-203, around 2 am GMT +1 Character name: Zilian Dent Issue/bug you are reporting: A few issues I've encountered when robbing houses. 1. Alarm seems to randomly go off even when no mistakes are made 2. House robbery marker dissappears from map when you crash 3. Loot/cabinet locations often spawn inside of eachother making it impossible to open the cabinet that is covered by the "loot" box Expected behavior: Obviously all 3 of these things are not supposed to happen Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: First off, for the random call I have the video linked below. Sadly my Shadowplay only goes back 2 minutes so I can't show you what happened outside but I did not fail the lockpick, I managed it in one go. I know this for sure because I only brought one lockpick with me. That is everything I did outside, just lockpicked the door and went in. What perhaps could be a factor is that I did not own the contract, the contract was owned by my friend and I was the one to lockpick it. Just a suggestion. Second, the crash bug. Speaks for itself pretty much, I had just bought the contract at the seller and I got in my car about 5 seconds after and my game crashed. Once I logged back in the contract was no longer marked on the map. I could not purchase another contract from the seller so perhaps it is just the marker that dissapears and not the whole contract. Third bug speaks for itself. Go inside any of the house robberies and you'll find "Loot" and "Cabinet" inside of eachother, with only one being accesible.
  2. Coulda just made an announcement and avoided this whole discussion tbh (and accept my transfer request wtf )
  3. To reset car speakers that dont work because you used a link with a too high codec, just type /carurl to turn the radio off and then it should work again.
  4. Gonna have to drop a fat +1
  5. Absolutely, combat logging is the only rulebreak you almost know for certain it's intentional. A FearRP or even a DM can happen by accident or because of a shitty situation where you genuinly didn't mean to break the rules. If you're combat logging however, you are being a dick and you know it. Should be a straight ban IMO.
  6. Random notifications to PD/SD are extremely frustrating, I have experienced them myself first hand with weapon imports and it’s horrible. You do absolutely nothing wrong and get fucked over. I do not want this kind of system with druglabs aswell. It is absolutely not impossible for police to find out locations as you are trying to make it look, @Philo. How about some actually interesting RP for the IB of PD instead of them just being handfed dumb notifications. It has happened numerous times in the past where snitches have appeared in organisations. This is one way detectives could learn locations of druglabs. Another would be by following vehicles and stalking them. Once enough evidence is collected, they could assemble a SWAT team and raid a house. All of these are cool and fair venues for RP, criminal and police alike. This way, if my druglab gets raided I know I fucked up and either got snitched or was not careful enough covering my tracks. It isn’t like right now where I couldn’t help it whatsoever. Getting a random notification that says “druglab here” is not RP. TL;DR please dont add more random chance mechanics that are extremely frustrating and offer no interesting RP.
  7. That works too, as long as PW is not an endless stream of weapons and armor. Didn’t really consider the stealing of said item part.
  8. Definitely not against a suggestion of making guns more lethal. This is an RP server in the end and shooting someone 5 times belongs in an arcade type of game, not a realistic one. I understand the concerns about desync but desync makes the fact that people have a lot of health a lot worse, you can be shooting them for a clip a piece sometimes.
  9. Saying something "should" be done always leaves opportunity for it not to be done. Just make it impossible and instead have people physically store the item in the vehicle and only be able to retrieve it from the armory +1
  10. I agree, people driving in to shootouts to run people over instead of just shooting is annoying and feels wrong. I would rather not have this be a thing +1
  11. Again, this whole conversation could have been avoided if the owner of this nightclub didn't decide to be a lone crime fighting hero and just paid the money we asked from him. I don't want to RP some crimefree utopia, because that would be super boring. Crime is real and it happens, dont pretend that any action that involves crime is somehow NonRP. As Dezzy correctly mentioned, we are a crime syndicate but we are open for negotaiting because more than anything, we are a business. If you agree to our terms you can run a night club without any form of trouble. TL;DR stop complaing git gud
  12. Absolutely no problem, apology accepted. I think this shows a lot can be learned if we just take a moment to step in eachothers shoes and as Aldari mentioned, to not assume we have bad intentions.
  13. You forget that it’s still a game. Is it realistic for the Chief of Police or the Sheriff to partake in SWAT and SED operations? No, but I understand that they still want to have fun too so you don’t see me complaining when @FatherOsborn rolls with a SWAT team because I understand he wants to have fun on this server too. This should go the same way for criminals. Is it realistic for Jay to shoot cops himself? Of course not, but do you really think he just wants to never partake in anything? Let’s be a little human here.
  14. Again, you’re wrong. The reason was not to “loot” the nightclub. 2 weeks ago the owner was offered an opportunity to pay for security. He denied, told us to wave off and informed detectives about us. Ezekial said ICly: “I’m not worried about my club getting robbed, I told my guests not to bring anything anyway”. What kind of RP is that? Because of this behaviour we were left no choice but to show that we don’t play. The person extorting themself, who I will not reveal the identity of due to metagaming, was not involved in the raid. However I’m sure they will come back to the club soon enough to see if the owner has come to their senses. I hate to publicly have to reveal the bigger picture of our plan because you can’t stop complaining OOCly, but so be it I guess
  15. Sure, but that’s not the only problem. I think it is unrealistic to expect to have people all around the turf for a reasonable amount of the day. It’s very demanding, boring and tedious without script support. Just “roleplaying” with no one and nothing is no fun. Maybe if there were benefits to having such a turf such as receiving money, setting up chopshops etc. As to what happened exactly: we were at the butchers drop off (which is part of our RP turf), holding it down with our people. No one had been harmed and nothing had happened, yet one scared civilian called police saying “zetas trying to rob me at butchers”. 3 cruisers and a SWAT team responded (mind you this was in the early afternoon so its safe to say it was the entire PD at that time) and when nothing was happening on scene they continued to spam “would I see a gun” on random people on scene to find an excuse to search/arrest. You can guess what happened next.
  16. We have tried to start holding down the turf around our HQ, however without script support and the fact that we don’t have 200+ members it’s very hard to actually do so. Add on to that that you can’t really do roleplay things in your turf such as extorting stores or drop off points because everytime 1 911 call goes out the entire PD instantly responds in full force and pats everyone down, and it becomes very hard to purely RPly hold down a turf. Some form of script support is needed here.
  17. I have no time or interest in scrounging through the report section to find out exactly who did what. If you present these numbers to be true, I'll gladly accept that to be the case. That however does not solve the problem. The problem is solved by reaching a mutual understanding. Read the rest of what I said, maybe try to contact the leader of NLA and find a fair middle ground you're both comfortable with. If this is undoable then that sucks and perhaps my other suggestion may help. If not, as I stated before and what you are stating is true report spammers will discipate over time anyways. As you stated yourself Tab Yez got punished twice himself and Joey Poppins is unless now changed banned. PS: This also obviously doesn't just involve the WCA or NLA/Misfits. This has involved many gangs before such as my own and gangs we've fought. I personally tell members to not report of petty occurances and to rather sort things out internally, which has helped considering a lack of reports against/by us recently (Obviously this can also be attributed to the fact there is no large conflict with any other organisations as of right now).
  18. Addition: if you do not believe this problem is real open up the report section right now and either the first or second report you open will involve either Misfits, WCA or NLA reporting eachother.
  19. These concerns are very real and I couldn't agree more. Obviously being a criminal for a long time I have learned my way around but that still doesn't bar the fact I sometimes slip up. I guess I could call myself lucky I have never been punished with DM after playing as a criminal and frequently being in shootouts for over a year. To analyze the problem further, I feel the report spamming happens more around newer players that just joined the server and people that do report spam often don't have a very long life expectancy on the forums as they are clearly not here to RP but rather to mess with others. I personally hate having to argue over rulebreaks on the forums. Yes I have made a few reports myself but only when I feel like someone is displaying behaviour that I feel doesn't belong on this server at all. The question of course is how to combat such a problem, and frankly I don't think there is a simple answer. One idea could be to differentiate better between punishments. Right now, I could walk up to someone and shoot them in the face for absolutely no reason. My punishment? The same as someone who shot someone else for thinking they had valid reason to do so, but didn't. Such as a mix up between who is getting arrested and who isn't and who was pointing a gun. Yes, these are slip ups and yes they should be punished but just 2 of these slipups shouldn't lead to an instant permanent ban. So perhaps introduce something such as minor DM. Of course this does not solve the problem completely as there are countless other things people make petty reports over. The problem is, the precedent has been set and it's hard to steer away from it. For instance, in the NLA vs WCA war it hard to say who started reporting who but fact is that they both do it now so you can't really blame either one. Maybe the leaders of both factions can come together and agree to disagree and fight their problems out ICly and if they have issues with how RP was conducted to come to eachother so things can be sorted out internally rather then on the forums. This is how @Copes handled it with us when we were at war with Wanted and man it was so much fun. I didn't have to worry about breaking little rules by shooting the wrong person in orange. It was gang vs gang RP and everyone understood that pulling up in colour to a shootout meant you were part of it. Maybe the NLA and the WCA can take an example of this and sort it out between eachother.
  20. This could not be further from the truth. Almost every time I am arrested assumptions are made because of the colour of clothing I wear and the fact that I am armed. Nowadays, being armed and being shot in a shootout automatically means you are charged with murder, even if no one witnessed you do so. I think with this suggestion a fair decision has to be made. Do I risk getting more jail time by taking this to court or do I take the normal jail time with no risks? Police are free to inform them of this risk aswell to discourage newer players or inexperienced criminals from making the wrong decision. Besides that, lets not gloss over the fact that it would just be a great new avenue of roleplay. Having someone properly RP as a judge I think would be really fun. It's not only to remedy an existing problem (however I feel it will) but it's also to add new ways to play the server.
  21. Also I think there are some very interesting opportunities for court room hearings and some cool RP to go along with it. I for one would love to RP as either a judge or a district attorney.
  22. No I think people are just sick of getting arrested and having the weather of the day decide what kind of charges they are going to get. A cry for a more fair system and a way to hold police accountable for their actions is a very understandable one. Currently, the only one who can hold police accountable is themselves which obviously comes with a serious conflict of interests. As to the suggestion, I think it is a very good idea to have it as an optional thing. If you obviously comitted a crime and see that the evidence is obvious, you'll just take the charges and go to jail. If the evidence is shaky and you expect the police officers work to not be thorough, or if you have been charged with crimes you didn't commit, you can take the risk of getting extra jail time for justice. This system obviously wouldn't count for every arrest but it would count for those very annoying ones where cops are clearly just guessing and charging what they can think of. PS: Before you say "well just IA report them" IA reporting is not going to give me the 6 hours I wasted in prison back and I'm still going to lose my items I lost due to an illegal search. Just because the officer who did it gets suspended for a day after the IA report is reviewed 3 months later, I don't feel any better about my unjust prison sentence.
