  1. What is the required standard to stop a vehicle in the UK?
  2. What a whiny, ridiculous thread. You got caught lacking and held up by a cop with a taser. You took the L the minute you got caught. All these people saying "creatively roleplay" whilst they drive around living the 'thug life', using their sports car which they realistically couldn't afford whilst simultaneously complaining about the standards of roleplay.... You can't roleplay realism when it suits you to make up for the skill issue you present.
  3. You best believe I am winning with my Shell V-Power vs your regular unleaded.
  4. How far do your "real world implications" extend. People are shot and die everyday, people are kidnapped, people race on the streets and crash their cars. Should we simply just bubble wrap everyone because of the mere idea someone might get upset by concepts that are, unfortunately, synonymous with real life? No. Of course not. You are playing GTA, you face these topics playing the game as it is. If you are so sensitive, go and play Candy Crush (you know, if you can handle the notion of candy being assorted by colors and then disappearing to earn points.)
  5. As someone in the realm of law enforcement in the UK, I am particularly intrigued on this experience you call upon to bolster your post. Out of interest, can I ask, how long it took you to become a specially authorised instructor/AFO instructor - the standard level of instructor that is required to undertake CED training? Do you have a lengthy career in firearms experience or have a lengthy career in law enforcement? I would presume so due to the competition, expertise and training requirements these roles need. Always nice to reach out and rub shoulders with fellow professionals that are rarely found in these communities. All the best.
  6. I am interested. Can we meet at the Vespucci pier after dark? P.S. Don't bring anyone. -Anonymous user.
  7. I do wonder, perhaps you can provide some insight; do you think this brother saw his ban from the community coming through the walls or not?
  8. I hope you make your IA report within the 7 days of the incident as required! It would be a true shame for such a damning incident to have gone amiss from not following the procedure to ensure incidents can be fairly investigated - which I am sure you are in support of with your lengthy tenure on the server and as a knight for fairness. (Perhaps not bring up the part where you were discharged for deceiving recruitment staff and lying about your admin history...that might not look the best on paper).
  9. Pomaze bog brate!
  10. IRL pic of me driving my half a million dollar car preparing to evade up a mountain which proves it is realistic for me to drive my half a million dollar car up Chiliad. +1, all for it.
  11. My my, I am sure a HR department or occupational health department would have you in their ranks somewhere. If you think the hours in a real life setting within law enforcement or criminal justice are capped in the real world, you are very much mistaken. I’ll log just the last few weeks of my work life: -W/C 6th March: 82 hours worked -W/C 13th March: 86 hours worked -W/C 20th March: 74 hours worked Should I tell my employer I need to have my pay cut or I should get more time off for my health? Of course not, because in the real world we all work until the job is done. This is a ridiculous suggestion OOC and IC. I suppose retiring my character at age 42 and being unemployed is unrealistic, mind you, that speaks for a wide range of the player base…perhaps you could address this on your next suggestion. I do wonder how we make their years of unemployment and benefit claiming more realistic…
  12. CV so long I am convinced you are a criminal in the Greek job market Good luck boss @Moda_Montasser
  13. Omg omg /me blushes blushes blushes
  14. @Shining0103Please upvote this to further out lighthouse ERP experiences. Big plus 1 from me.
  15. OMG, /me blushes. Ofc bb.
  16. Question @Shining0103, how are we meant to ERP under trees if they are removed? Can you ask @skeletee as you inquire?

    LOWER THE GANG CAP.

I personally believe a rule of engagement (ROE) rule would work pretty well. Half the problem is people think it is good roleplay to go around steamrolling the map with numbers. A rule of six or eight as a party to instigate an engagement as a cap would be a good idea to prevent people just running around and thinning out rival competition. That being said, seemingly with the decline of numbers, I don't right now see a need for this. This situation is a lose-lose. Yes, there is a problem with the number of criminals and yes it needs solving. If you cap the limit of certain gangs then "friends can't play together" so more people leave and if you keep it the same there will be no action, so people leave. 25 people if we are to cap numbers seems a good, fair number if a cap is to be implemented. For realism purposes that would be good too but, let's face it, no one cares about realism here. At the end of the day, the elephant in the room is there are months of development promises we are all still waiting to see fulfilled, countless times this community is promised updates that have not evolved in any way and a community that thrives on grinding assets rather than roleplaying. My thoughts? Have faction management enforcing roleplay standards SERVER WIDE TO ALL than the lack luster enforcement that is current and let us see these updates come to fruition (I say with baited breath).
  18. Doesn't seem to get through...thought I'd repeat...
  19. How about, I know, a controversial idea, implementing features that actually encourage roleplay. I hate to say it and perhaps this is a little off-topic but writing a few stories on a faction thread is not good roleplay. Features like providing a business location, giving access to tools to build drug labs and things like that would be much more effective means of giving a "tier reward" than silly, unrealistic features. It would be nice to see IFM help setup schemes, supplier status with a realistic stance of supply etc. You could encourage far more economy and social dynamics with plenty of ideas, ones that would certainly boost criminal activity - these now are few and far between. I just hope whatever features you implement or are looking to are simply not boosting "asset grinding" and give people that demonstrate good RP to have a leg up in furthering their development.
  20. Got the new server logo ready if this is implemented.
  21. Ki~ I won't.
  22. Let's just wrap the world in bubble wrap and protect people in cotton wool. I have little sympathy for people offended by the one-off "kill yourself" style comment. You are playing an 18+ game, one which the premise rests on a multiplicity of violence and adult themes. Provided the remark was made in the course of roleplay - so be it. If it happens on a repeated, clearly toxic basis; fair enough, file a report. We already have systems to deal with toxicity, there is no need for more censorship. The issue Bala speaks of I believe is mainly caused to the immature, belligerent children who clearly need better parenting and need a belt rather than a ban. I am afraid we live in a society where a backbone and decency is something becoming rarer and rarer. I am not here to babysit and panda to your needs. If my character in the course of roleplay makes remarks, it is done so in that light. Funnily, it is these same people that complain about this issue that cause it: they lack entire character concept and become quasi, childish versions of themselves. My advice? Grow up and stop causing a nuisance to the people that actually want to enjoy themselves.
  23. +1 I personally think that implementing a system where jail time is served whilst the player is offline makes sense in the current state of affairs. Perhaps a system where the jail time goes down 50% faster (per se) if you're logged in than out is a sensible compromise. That way people that are inclined to log in are rewarded for their efforts whilst the people that are already in jail with stuff to do are not penalized more than already.
