After a month of saving the club hit their goal of  $1,200,000. It was finally time to acquire the house with the blue bike ( Home of the Hearts ). This now gave the club the land on both sides of the future Gastle, with that the club set out to find Jose Dryer. Jose is the guy to talk to if you want to get things done in the city. Luckily while sliding around in the newly built drift arena Brody was able to slide into Jose, all the pun intended. The two carried on a conversation about what had previously happened with the land and the government ripping his parking structure down. After a short talk Jose made a call to Tyrone Cox, they both agreed to meet at the area and discuss if building there would be appropriate. Brody made a quick call over to Daniel Dijkman (Ace of Clubs) to make him aware of the situation. 5 seconds later Daniel was pulling up at the house with Jose and Tyrone pulling in a few minutes later. The guys talked for a bit when Sven Liam ( Wildcard at the time ) pulled up and joined the conversation. The guys walked and talked while Tyrone inspected the land around the build site, Tyrone also inspected the other garages and structures Brody had built. The talking continued for about 10 minutes then to everyone's surprise Tyrone said “I see absolutely no reason you shouldn't be allowed to. Go for it!” then awarded them with a building permit. The next morning BK began laying the foundation. 

 

 

Brody woke eager to work on the new project but duty called and he had to head over to LSC and get some hours in first. A short while later the guys saw an ad come across talking about a motorcycle event hosted by the Diablos MC, again a few moments later another ad came across, this time it was about a race hosted by the guys from LSD. Faced with the tough decision on where to show up and who to support, the club gathered and discussed what they should do. One of Brody’s early memories of the city was of Charlie pulling over and offering a hand to help him when he was down. So Brody naturally wanted to head over there and show them support but none of the guys have bikes, either way the Aces were showing up.

 

The Aces were greeted with open arms and invited to join in with everyone on the cruise. After some small talk and hanging about with everyone it was time for the cruise. They started at the Diablos HQ and worked their way up to Bayview where something was planned to be announced, everyone circled and waited for the news. The officer got everyone together and announced that our friend Charlie is now an engaged man!

As the ride was concluding everyone headed back to the tent to see who won their raffle. Sadly no one from the club won any of the bikes but there were three winners so congrats to those that won. After the cruise finished they guys decided to head over to the LSD race event. The Aces pulled up about 45 minutes late but there were still races going on so the guys signed up. First up was Maxwell, he paired against a Retro Comet. Maxwell surprised everyone and hung neck and neck with the Comet, even pulling out into the lead on the second lap until an unfortunate headache cost him the race.

Rico was up next, he was in his brothers ISSI racing against a Sultan RS. Rico quickly sped into the lead and never looked back, taking his race by over 4 seconds. Following that was a three way race that included the Ace of Diamonds, Ronnie Moretti. He was there to test out his newly acquired 8F Drafter, not fully understanding the car he thought it would be a good test. He was able to fight his way into a 2nd place finish. Brody, like normal, spent his time running around taking photos and shaking hands. Below are some photos he took while at the LSD race event.

The House of Cards part 2

 

The club has grown and begun to take shape, over the last week the club added three new faces to their roster (19 now in total). Emilia Thalmer, Alex Mathers, and Chippy Douglas. Emilia finally broke down to all the begging from the guy and stepped up to be the Queen of Spade. In her first 5 minutes of joining the club she had already made some awesome improvements. She started by organizing their paperwork, emailing SD about the clubs event coming up this week, and if that wasn't enough she fully paid the club dues within 2 weeks of joining. Alex Mathers has been a strong force on the ledge at LSC grinding 50+ hours and gaining employee of the week and by doing that it got BK’s attention. Naturally BK offered him an invite to the club. Next up was Chippy, still new to the city, was looking to meet some new friends and did so on the ledge at LSC also. So naturally when he asked to join the club he was met with open arms. Alex and Chippy are still finding their way into what suit they would fit best so they will remain Wildcards for the next week. 

 

Last Piece of the Puzzle

 

The club struggled to get the last house they needed, Lester's house. It was priced at a staggering $1,750,00 for a 2g. Over the last month the club's treasury funds slowly started to add up, eventually landing at 1.5 million. Brody then made a call over the radio for a 250k loan and one of the wild cards Alex Mathers stepped up and offered the money. Maxwell also caught wind of what BK had mentioned on the radio so he made his way over to Amarillo. The guys arrived at the house and waited for the sales agent to arrive. Around 15 minutes later BK handed over a very large stack of money and received the keys to the last piece of the puzzle. After the purchase of Lester's home the club was able to have every single property that connected to their future Gastle.

The Aces Drag Race Showdown 

 

Plans for this event were long in the works but the first concrete step into actually making it happen was the club’s cruise to LSSD in order to find Nica Dimitru. Maxwell, Ronnie, Rufnek, Emilia and Brody cruised all the way to Paleto at night, their car’s golden yellow headlights illuminating the way.

They were, as per usual, tailed by an officer from the Police Department which they have at this point decided to treat as a free police escort. As soon as they pulled up to the sheriff's department, they were surprised to see the person whom they were looking for parking right next to them, Nica Dimitru. Nica had a short discussion with the Aces about the event in general and requested them to send him an email with all the details but it needed to be done at least five days in advance before the event. Pleased with the result of their mission, they cruised back to Amarillo Vista to figure out the details. At first, there was a discussion in one of the houses with the boys talking through the technicalities and Emilia occasionally pitching in and taking notes.

This was followed by another cruise, this time to the power plant in order to figure out the rest of the details, such as where exactly the track will start and end, where the parking will be, and so on. With all of this sorted out, Emilia used the notes to draft the email and Brody sent it to Nica and eagerly awaited his response. Two days had passed and they were still waiting for a response. With the event date coming closer and the club members growing more impatient they decided to act, trying to find him in person. That in turn meant another cruise to Paleto but just before heading out BK got a call from his good friend Jay Spade of Cruise80, he was wanting to get a cruise together. BK shared what they were planning and next thing they know the Vista was full of cars ready for a cruise.

 

After arriving they walked into SD and was met by a fellow ledge worker John McAruther. He tried to find LT. Nica but it seemed he was scheduled off that day, this led to disappointment at first but John went and found sheriff Wallace. A short time later the sheriff decided to talk to the Aces, inquiring about the event and letting them know that they can forward the email to him and he’ll look it over, which they did moments later.

What would an event be without a raffle? Being a club that is just starting out, the Aces did not exactly have a great budget. Luckily, Frank Reyes, the owner of 68Mania dealership, was kind enough to provide them with a stock Dominator GTT.This is largely due to the effort of Daniel Dijkman, who negotiated this prize in the first place and Brody King, who joined in on the finishing discussion. Brody also put in his personal touch into the customization of the car. Emilia was not very pleased with the visuals at first but took a liking to it in the end.

 

After all these negotiations, there was one more thing to do – make as many people aware of the event as possible. Weazel news helped by sending out ads for the event and the result turned out awesome! Weazel wasn’t the only way the news about the event was spreading – the members themselves took it as their mission to let everyone know what they have been working on for so long!

 

Then came the D-day – Friday the 3rd of September. Abjorn Schmidt from Weazel assisted by making a GPS blip on the location of the race and completing an order of bulk ads that Alex Mathers (5 of Spades) created. The members had met up at Amarillo Vista two hours prior to the event to ensure they had a solid game plan.SD was due to arrive an hour before to begin setting up the event. After collecting all their cars, a taco truck, and the raffle car, they all cruised to the power plant, PD vehicles following them as per usual. When all the cars finally came together, all in club colours, it truly was a sight to behold.

.

 

The raffle prize, a fully maxed and drift-ready Dominator GTT, was stationed in the corner of the main parking lot. Ronnie and Rico were prepped and ready to begin selling the raffle tickets.

Chippy was put over the music, Maxwell was tasked with taking photos, Emilia would be sending the racers off, and the duo of Rufnek and Vanyes was placed in the staging lanes.

 

The LSSD arrived soon after, providing tremendous help. Barricades and cones were stationed around the track in order to prevent bystanders from getting hurt by running onto the track. The Aces also borrowed some megaphones from LSSD, so they could continually call out important information.

 

LT. Dimitru even went as far as to do the countdowns for the racers! Darion Rueb (owner of LSC) also was kind enough to provide the event with a flatbed and the permission to keep a mechanic on standby, which came in handy many times, especially when a racer decided it would be a good idea to race the track backwards, resulting in him flipping his vehicle over.

 

The shortness of the track ensured that the excitement did not die down and people weren’t getting bored. In fact, many racers raced more than once. Though after many races, it was time to announce the winner of the raffle – Jay Crystal – winning with just one ticket!

 

LT. Nica offered for LSSD to escort the attendees on a cruise back to town, which the Aces gladly accepted. LSSD did an amazing job blocking all of the intersections and providing the convoy with a smooth ride all the way to the drift arena where a pop-up event hosted by LSD was scheduled to begin. With what seemed like half the city joining the cruise the people at the drift event were happy to see the convoy arrive. Later after the event had ended a few new faces introduced themselves and expressed interest in joining the Aces. Will they be joining them or not? I guess we will see soon....

LSMC Opening Event  / House of Cards pt3
 

The hours on the ledged seemed to be dragging along when the guys saw an ad for an event being hosted by the LSMC. Ava was one of  the first faces that showed up to The Aces drag race event, so naturally Brody got on the radio and made plans for The Aces to be at the event. Not much later while everyone was hanging out on Amarillo Brody received a call from another good friend Charlie Rellet, Charlie asked if The Aces was planning on attending the event and if so if they wanted to cruise with the Diablos to the event. Brody happily accepted their invite but was also eager to show off what the club had been working on.

 

 

After showing off the new building they all lined up and went down the road to where the LSMC’s event was taking place. They arrived and found some quick parking outside, lined up one by one and prepared to be frisked.

A quick pat down later and everyone was free to enter. The club members hung out rocking to the music being put on by Johnnie Hill and enjoying a few beers they received from Matthew behind the bar.

 

After vibin with the music The Aces found the arcade room located beside the dance area and everyone began to have some more fun, they placed some quarters in the machines they began to play. Turns out Adrian is a bit better at air hockey then Brody had originally anticipated and also Miss Emilia is pretty dang strong when it comes to Axe Fury and Ronnie even had his way and set a high score on the basketball machine before everyone decided it was time for their big announcement.

 

 

The announcement was planned to take place at a new location the club has had interest in. Every few days the club likes to gather on top of the building and discuss future plans and make sure everyone is up to date with what's going on inside the club.

 

 Today Brody had something a little different in mind. Rufnek has been super supportive with the club, attending the 2nd most events out of everyone. He had all his dues paid on time, and when Vaynes wasn't able to be in the city, Rufnek stepped up and made sure to pay for both. So needless to say he has shown his true colors to the club and it has been noticed. Today was the day his work paid off when Brody handed him a personal invite to be the King of Spades.

Cruise80 Drift Event / House of Cards pt4

 

It sure was a long day, the crew celebrated quite a few things today, but let's roll this back to the beginning. It started off like most, they guys all gathered on the ledge dancing and vibing out. Everyone was in a good mood knowing today was the day that their friends Cruise80 was planning their drift event. 

 

The guys put some time in on the ledge but everyone was eager to get their car shined up for the event so they gathered on Amarillo. Some were there to tune their car, others were there polishing up their cars, nonetheless everyone was there and gathering for the event. BK got a call from Jay letting them know it was ok for them to head down to the event, so the cars lined up one by one then filled out of Amarillo. They started off, first heading to run over to LSC and putting on some slick tires, then off to fill up the tanks and head to the event.  

After arriving they noticed a shiny new Remus on the back of a Slamtruck, there was no mistaking this was a raffle car. The Aces lined up and entered the raffle, not so much for the car, but to show respect to their fellow club. Each member lined up and bought some tickets.

After each purchased their fair share of tickets they gathered by the track and watched the practice stages of the drift event. BK decided to walk around with his camera and ran into some good friends from the LSMC. Ava mentioned Johnnie had shown up today in something special so naturally BK pulled out his camera and went to check it out.

 

 

 

Bk wrapped up the photo of the bike and the event then went to gathered with everyone again to watch the last few races of the event. Jay walked up behind the guys and shouted into the mega phone announcing that the raffle was about to start. Everyone headed over to the bus where the drawing was due to happen. The crowd started to buzz with anticipation of who might win, Jay spun the wheel and the anticipation grew……. RONNIE MORETTI! Then Jay called 2nd……. RICO MORETTI! Dang the brothers got 1st and 2nd these Diamonds seem to get pretty lucky.

 

Jay struggled to find the keys to the flatbed to remove the car but with some patience it was all taken care of and Jay signed the title over to Ronnie. The Aces then headed over to see the new house that Alex and Emilia had bought. Everyone danced and enjoyed some beers and music by the poolside some even took a few drunken attempts to jump into the pool. This is the energy the club needed after a long day like today but sadly it was time to call it a night.

  

 

House of Cards Pt4

Adrian Dox has been a very strong member since joining the club. Today The Aces decided he had earned his promotion to become the 7 of Spades. Adrian has stepped up and made it to multiple events as well as helping to build the Dominator GTT that was given away at The Aces Drag Race Showdown. That left a spot open for someone to enter the Spades, Jordan Jacobs. He is being pulled from the “Wildcards” and placed into the Spades under BK as his 6 of Spades. Now with Adrian moving up and Jordan now being a part of BK's Spades branch, The Spades are looking stronger then ever before!
