  1. I think the average car price needs to be looked at, we spend a couple hours most mornings chopping and can make anywhere from 40-80k which, as is a re-occuring theme on this thread, when split between people your average chopping group really doesn't balance out for the risk/reward. I think the 1.3x should be put back in place to give us that slight boost of cash.
  2. Crims utilise the Casino Rooftop for helicopter access, unfortunately with this NCZ update they are now unable to bring anything criminal up to the rooftop, severely hindering certain opportunities. pls change

Hiring this guy to write ENVY forum posts, we're about to hit a whole new level
  5. free repairs at bayview for the next year
  6. Are we saying they get a cut of the base or labour? If labour then I don't think so, factions already rely so heavily on the hourly income from Gov, so taking away even further from that income that factions make would be a bad idea. I'd be down for them to get a cut of the base price, but I think we need to leave the labour price to the faction treasuries
  7. To expand on this, give us minigames. Not the action timer. But even if you just yoink some Among Us tasks and make it so for a mechanic to repair your car they have to successfully beat the minigame 5 times and each time they complete the minigame, output a /me or /do. Heck, if you want to take it even further, if a mechanic fails the minigame then your car gets repaired to a lower standard. 1 win = 200 HP, so depending on how many times the mechanic beats the game, depends on how much they repair the car. It's hard to convince people to join faction jobs for the money when freelance jobs have received such a large monetary buff, and the only real leg we have to stand in is the social interaction & connections you make through faction jobs. Freelance jobs got buffed, why can't we get a buff too?
  8. -1 i see no issue with forum signatures at this point in time, seems like a waste of time!
  9. I think there needs to be a change in faction payouts, not necessarily just with a raise as to faction salary but as to incentivise people to partake in RP scenarios. As it currently stands, at the top ranks you'll be earning $8,000 p/h which, if you've made it up to a position like this you're more then likely in the 35% tax bracket, equates to $5,200 after tax meaning the individuals at the top of these factions are earning the same or less as the newest employees which can be a huge demotivator as the additional hard work that these individuals put in, does not benefit them financially. Furthermore, people in LSC/Bayview/DCC earn the same amount of money no matter whether they are involved with the most customers, or tabbed out avoiding RP. I think there are definitely IC solutions to this and Bayview have been discussing some ideas as to motivate people to get involved more but there is always a flaw with any idea due to a script limitation or the potentiality for people to exploit the systems we have discussed. +1 to an increase in faction salary
  10. +1 It's a pain having to constantly switch back into first person to check altitude and relying on those bars as Bert said can be a little tricky at times
  11. I would love it if repairing a vehicle became a minigame. The more damaged a car is the more iterations of the minigame we have to play, maybe implement a damage system similar to that in the F1 games: If the devs want to keep it simple, each car has a similar setup where the spoiler has damage, each of the doors have damage and the front bumper has damage. Or if they want to make it complicated they could also include each individual wheel, and diversify it for every part that the user can choose in the mod menu. Then, using this kind of system, when the customer brings their car to a mechanic shop, the mechanic can see what areas of the car are broken and then must complete some kind of minigame, maybe something like a puzzle of that part? So for example, a door on 0hp would require the mechanic to solve a puzzle of putting pieces into the shape of a door, and having a time limit to do so. Suddenly, mechanic RP becomes about this fun minigame.
  12. The issues you've listed in your post are all unfortunately because of IC consequences. It's an ongoing IC discussion and without ruining the RP for everyone, LSC are doing their best on both IC and OOC levels to try and improve everyone's experience, but it's not as easy as " give people more money and it'll boom again". Speaking as a part of Bayview's HC, we recently made an announcement within our command team about trying to push roleplay further, so your interaction with a mechanic is something more then, " hi can i get a repair", " yeah sure", * script stuff happens*, " here's your car, stay safe!" and I think just trialing it, its had some improvements but it's unfortunately a two way street, and we often find that people who come to us don't want to take part in greater RP, but just want their car repaired and that to be it. I think it'd be a huge hit to RP if auto repair was to get split so that if there are no LSC employees then auto repair at LSC would be open. There is often some great characters for you to meet and who knows, whilst you're driving up to Bayview maybe you see someone else you know, or you decide to engage in an RP scenario up north, creating more opportunities for everyone else up north.
