Carl Johnson Posted February 19, 2021 Report Posted February 19, 2021 (edited) Hey guys, I think I got a really good suggestion and would love to see this on the server soon, it shouldn't be too difficult to realise this. So in order to make everyones life better here, especially the new players lifes, we/they need USEABLE BUSES. To make them useable we need BUS STATIONS ON the MAP, the routes could be changed so people can get from the airport in LS, to Paleto and back, by using the bus. You could also add an option that people have to pay for using the bus or stuff like this. I mean being a busdriver at the moment is absolutely useless and people would actually have fun (and hopefully a bit of rp too). It would be also nice (and needed) to move the already existing bus stations for a few meters, so the bus wont instantly stop in the middle of the road anymore. There can so much be done with this simple job and it would increase the quality of the server a lot. I think everyone would use a bus sometimes, just to get from the hospital to mors or to the bank or wherever... We need better freelance jobs, give them some love please! However I’m not a programmer and can’t assume everything is possible. Even if it’s kept random, at least spawn something along the route so players know a bus is on the way. The bus grind is no fun if no one is taking the bus. love the suggestion above! Quote

ArcAngel Posted May 31, 2021 Report Posted May 31, 2021 +1 Would be great for bus shelters to be added to the maps where the routes are placed however I think placing markers on the map where the stops are would clog the HUD and cause issues with weazel blips. There are improvements that could be made for the bus job though. It would be great to see buses actually being purposeful other than a way to get money. 1 Quote

Would be cool to have them marked on the map with something like "Bus Stop Route 101", including those in the city. If there's issues with too many blips on the map, you can make custom bus stop signs (saying which bus routes go through that stop) and players would just learn them. Bala Posted April 8, 2022 Report Posted April 8, 2022 I'm currently in the process of re-texturing the Paleto Bus Station to look more like a bus station. I'm looking into adding some extra bus stops on the map but also, making it so the routes whether a Paleto or LS route will allow travel between pretty much the entire state where appropriate, so you could in theory take a bus to any of the main spots of the server. 1 1 Quote

lamentai Posted December 16, 2025 Report Posted December 16, 2025 I'm not sure how much of this was implemented, but I've been doing the bus routes for the last few days and finally got to Level 5, and wanted to put in some input! I see now that there are bus stops and markers on the map, which is great! What I wanted to suggest is changing the first bus route you unlock. I've been running the green bus constantly for the past ~3 days and have not had even 1 rider. I've finally unlocked routes in town, and I'm excited to be able to run a route that might actually be helpful to new players. I think we should change the first bus route you unlock to be one that runs inside the city, particularly between the new player point and the DMV! This way more people are incentivized to use the bus. (And hopefully with more busses in town people will slow the heck down) Quote
