Executives - Exploring New Talent

The Shadow Corporation team is a selection of personnel, often hand picked, associates who have grown into the business, friends, family or who have been closely related to the business. We're small, but particular, we want to have people we can trust, not only for ourselves, but for our customers as well. This doesn't stop us from always looking for new talent and perspective though.

The Executives met with an individual interested in joining the Shadow Corporation and spent time interviewing them for a position. They have had a rocky past they've left behind and prefer business. With this, there was some concern, but it was decided we would give them the chance. They have already worked with us a bit already and they are passionate. The first tasks fairly simple, and allow the new Intern to prove himself, expand and discover his potential. He was given a list of vehicles and even a house to see if he could get them sold for enough, to make a decent profit for himself. In addition to this, he is given several other opportunities for profit as well as keeping an eye and ear out for potential, company connections, investments or opportunities.

Shadow - Stocking Up

Every business needs resources and supplies and one business has recently taken advantage of our Logistics & Supply services for a delivery they needed in short time. A local club needed help to get stocked up before their opening. As soon as Xoza received the details he visited the location and one of our subsidiary supply stores to check the stock.

Xoza met with the buyer, resolved the agreement and took the payment and got to work to fulfill the order, loading and delivering a large amount of supplies to the business. There's going to be a big party this week and the club wanted to make sure there was plenty to drink.

With the insisted help of the manager, we got all the supplies loaded and moved. In good faith and to build a trusting relationship with the business, a refund was provided to help cover fuel and assistance provided by the extra set of hands.

Colonna - Reliability First

The Shadow Corporation and Maze Bank are a long standing and well-founded reality and go-between for the citizen of Los Santos. The mediation and middleman services are an essential part of everything we do an offer when it comes to estate and trade. Loans and investments help us know new people and they are often grateful for the help we offer, wanting to work with us more and help each other improve the quality of life. The work we do with people, helps solidify and confirm our professionalism reliability is where Shadow Corp and the Maze Bank logos are represented.

Today, Colonna got called by one of our faithful car traders. He got into his Tornado Custom, after receiving the call, and headed to meet the parties involved. The day before it was a Pfister Neon, today it was a Schlagen GT for a Rapid GT and some cash. Since cash was involved, we all had to meet at the 'Theater of Fraud', the Los Santos Bank. The owner of the Rapid GT appeared with someone else who looked like another mediator, which was confusing at first, since it was not part of the arrangement. The involvement of a forth party would have slowed everything down and it surely does not symbolize trust. Colonna however took the matters in his hands and explained to both parties how everything would go down, since he has much more experience in the matter and he works for respectable entities and has multiple references, they can look have faith that he will ensure a fair transaction.

After checking the money, the keys and the papers, we continued with the exchange. The money and the papers for the Rapid GT, given first, then the keys for the V8 beast. When all was set, the hands were traded across, Simon received the keys for the Rapid GT, and everyone parted ways. The now owner of the Schlagen went to show his new car to friends and considered it an achievement, since he would not have been able to buy it with cash. For Simon it's all business and profit, soon the vehicle will find a new owner and a new trade will commence.

After making sure everyone was happy with what they got, Colonna left, as it was already getting late and the trade took more than expected. Business may be work, and pay the bills, but it's also the satisfaction of making sure everything happens as it should.

Shadow - Interns & Ideas

Recently a new intern was hired and as usual, Xoza likes to regularly check with new employees and review new ideas, information they've come across, and see how they've come with a new perspective on life in the city. The company loves innovation and ideas and are always looking for new opportunities, but they've also had experience with some that were not very lucrative. While talking with the employee, he had to talk to him about caution of things that were 'too good' to be true, in addition inform him of past deals and observations that didn't go as planned. But, there have been some amazing investments as well. Either way, every idea will always receive the same, quality discussion and analysis to make sure it is beneficial and the risk is worth it.

Shadow - Negotiations

Everywhere you go, there's always a deal to be had, a negotiation to be done, whether it between two parties or, one party and the company. Networking and connecting with other businesses especially is important, to each. This helps, naturally garner a level of respect for each others business. It helps businesses get to know each other, what they expect, their goals, what they do and often how they do it.

Everything is not perfect however, despite how hard Xoza tries to make things happen the way he likes them to, clean and efficient, they don't always go perfectly planned. Sometimes one or another can't always offer the best of services or prices, mistakes can be made and deals can be broken. But in the end you should always look out for your customers or ally's interests.

Good business, especially between businesses counts on making connections, whether that connection leads to a deal or not. The fact you made a good attempt, will help them understand you're there to help and open to talk.

Shadow - Discounts & Giveaways

Being a business of businesses, the Shadow Corporation must continually build its presence and reputation with our citizens and other businesses. This often comes in the form of giveaways, deals and offerings of free or cost effective services to businesses and clients who are looking for them. In October, we gave away a 'Halloween' van to celebrate the month to a lucky winner, this month we're offering discounts on all Atomic tires to make sure every customer has a new set of reliable tires for the winter months.

     

As we grow, we continue looking for talent to help grow the business and have had more demand recently in our legal and mediations services.

Shadow - News Networking 

The Shadow Corporation likes to stay connected with the city and what's going on, however lately Xoza has felt his businesses and associates have been under fire from the local news. Luckily he had the opportunity to meet with one of the leading anchors of Weazel News today. The discussion was a lot better then expected, time on TV, is much different then time off. Talking with anchor we discussed some plans to meet up for an interview in the near future to shed light on business side of things in the city.

Shadow - Logistics

Assured Services has been in a working relationship and in association with the Shadow Corporation since they opened their doors. They have some really talented personnel and we always enjoy working with them. Recently they reached out to inquire about our logistic services due for an opening of a new building.

While we were on our way to resolve the invoice, we encountered an individual who had just moved into the city and needing help finding his way. We answered his questions, but Xoza figured this would be a great way to get some extra hands to help with the work and offered him some pay for his time and assistance. They all visited one of the Corporation's associated stores, Chumash 24/7, loaded up the stock, got it moved to the location, and unloaded. The helpful assistant was paid as promised by the Shadow Corporation, but in a respectful maneuver, by Assured Services as well. This is the level of business you can expect from those who are looking out for the citizens of our city as well as the reputation of businesses everywhere.

Shadow - Entrepreneurs

 

A few days ago, Xoza met with a client that was interested in purchasing a motorcycle. After a bit of discussion, he found that they too are an entrepreneur of business, spending hours daily, working and looking for ways to create business opportunities for everyone. He, like anyone has some great goals and has dedicated to achieving them.. They spent quite a bit of time talking about history, opportunities and ways to work together more in the lines of business and we look forward to working with them and anyone else with a mind for business, in the future.

Shadow - Events

It has been a long year, and no better way to celebrate the end of it, then at a party with a bunch of your friends, more so, being the one to assist hosting said event. The media relations division of the Los Santos Police Department, reached out to the Shadow Corporation this year to help provide and move supplies. This time however, they requested the whole feature, including a vehicle to give away, raffle tickets, food, drink, and much more. The media relations division of the department made a lot of the plans and helped out, but the Xoza made sure it happened.

At the end of the event, the department was sent an invoice, and the total came in much lower than the planned cost by 26.6%! We hope everyone has had a great holiday and have a safe and happy new year.

Shadow - Business Breakdown

Xoza likes to keep in touch with what's going on in business and the people it affects in the community, whether he's directly related or not. Lately he's taken interest in some of the reports from Weazel News and the ongoing concerns with increased prices of fuel. With a recent, associate acquisition and drive for the truth in fuel changes, the Shadow Corporation reached out to it's subsidiaries as well as Weazel News to bridge the gap and share perspectives from both sides.

 

Xoza met with leading anchorman Travis Rashguard a few times over the last few months talking with them about business, hoping to not only express concerns against free, profitable and sustainable businesses for all, but to review what really hinders and suppresses, these business and why there isn't enough of them.

Shadow - Chamber of Commerce

Months ago, during a discussion with the CEO of Assured Services, during an exchange of ideas and discussing ways to connect businesses, the public and the government, Xoza brought up the thought of a "Chamber of Commerce". This is often a very well known, and practiced group of individuals that connect through the chamber, to hold meetings, express needs, concerns and just to connect with other businesses. At the time, it was an idea, it was mentioned to the Government, but there wasn't a demand for something like it, yet. With business concerns rising dramatically recently. Assured Services reached out and reignited the idea. A new year, brings on new things, we were both in agreement, so we met up began the work.

We founded a group on Life Invader and invited as many business owners we knew. We talked about goals, sent emails to the state office and much more. This is only the first step to something greater for business. We will have challenges to face, businesses to discover and lobbying to do. Every business license holder and owner, will be able to have their voices heard and the Chamber will be there to support, refine, discuss and present them to each other or to state officials. This is to be a momentous task, but every member working together toward a greater goal, can make improvements.

Shadow - Event Sponsorship

Atomic regularly works with citizens and businesses to help sponsor events and the Shadow Corporation is there to help make it happen. This last weekend a group of mechanics with a common interest and idea approached the company to request sponsorship and assistance. The Shadow Corporation made a contract with the organizers, offered a reward, agreement to the organizers and got to work. 

      

The Shadow Corporation took the extra steps needed to make sure the event was covered in every detail. Offering the organizers some free ads, created a poster and reached out to law enforcement to make them aware of the event, in case there were any concerns.

Signups began and the races started with full support and organization. A few minor issues, but all part of the experience and learned for the next one. Race after race, the drivers compete. This race, cars were provided by the organizers. Both PD, SD and mechanics were on scene to help out.

In the end, the driver with the fastest time was none other than Paulo Witherfork of Assured Services.

Shadow - Around Town

Business is not always all work and no play. We're out looking to visit with others, exploring the town and new opportunities, looking to new changes, connecting with people of similar interests and doing the research... okay, even that sounds like work, but it's the kind of work you can do with others and the Shadow Corporation enjoys.

There's a lot going on in the city and the Shadow Corporation wants to be part of it, not only to be that connection to what's going on, but to be that go to, for the citizens. Often, citizens come to us, police and many others when they have questions and we want to be the most informed in what's going on, so we can offer answers, and solutions.

Shadow - Bringing Business Together

The Chamber of Commerce came together this weekend with the leadership of the Shadow Corporation and Assured Services. After a few minor 'glitches' at the start, we started with our discussion and the turnout was amazing. The attendees ranged from curious citizens looking into business, maybe how to get started, or curious of answers to questions that could change the future, to entrepreneurs, government representatives, businesses and many more. While for some, business can be boring, this discussion really seemed to keep the crowd pleased, interested and engaged.

 

Several notable were in attendance, representatives and also providing the event security, Alpha Enterprises. Government licensing personnel and one of our commissioners, even a representative of the Justice department attended and everyone were open to discussion, sharing ideas, asking questions and expressing concerns.

Due to the amazing turnout, and the conversations that were brought up, it was decided that these meetings are important, not only to the business owners, but to the government as well, to open up better conversation and transparency of what's going on in the city, in hopes to make improvements for everyone.

The next step for the Chamber of Commerce will be regular meetings, not only with the public and businesses, but also to have a representative directly available to the government and other businesses as a shared interest and visibility to all.

Shadow - Getting Around Town & Meeting Others

The Shadow Corporation is always trying to get involved with the happenings around town, especially when it's with our corporate associates, allies and clients. Over the last week or we've visited a few events, connected with some clients and brought in new tallent.

We visited the car show with Assured Services. Xoza did the math, and was tempted a gamble, to dominate the raffle, but, he gave it a second thought, stepped back and just let everyone enjoy themselves. It's time Atomic get back into sales and giveaways again.

Here we also met with an individual who Xoza has been trying to get in touch with, for just over a year.. the owner of a very specific license plate he has been trying to negotiate to own, but has proven difficult. Today, hopefully it would be a success.

Soon after the car show, we visited an open music event at the Sisyphus Theater. Recently the company took on a client that has asked us to plan a similar event, and we wanted to see how this one played out, maybe take a bit of inspiration from it. At the event we met another individual and entrepreneur, we took interest in. He's talked with us before, but we've not met in person. He expressed interests in legal work and we talked a little sharing our information.

Another day, another meeting. It's time to get our own clients event publicized. Named, 'Broadway Musical Extravaganza' by the hosts, The Shadow Corporation helps look for solutions, prepare and bring up the unanswered questions and challenges, events face and help plan the event.

Remember that legal entrepreneur we met at the music event? At the time the Shadow Corporation had offered an invitation to work together. Today, we got the opportunity to make and take the first steps. It doesn't often seem like many are interested in business, especially legal work, but this individual, like Xoza, has seen an issue and pursued to solve it.

Shadow - Theatre

One of the greatest things, another can do, is be able to do something they truly enjoy. This weekend, the Shadow Corporation event team helped bring live an event that brought may together. The Broadway Musical Extravaganza with Maxi and Peaches.

Maxi and Peaches both focused on their tallent, while the team, handled all the other particulars, including some advertising, scouting the location, organizing security and overall making sure the event happened without issue.

There seemed to be about 40 in attendance, all just enjoying the event and even getting involved themselves.

Unfortunately, due to some technical difficulties, it was cut short, but the party quickly moved to Bahama Mama's where everyone enjoyed some club music and just hanging out.

Warner – Introduction and Plans for the Legal Department

 

Having recently joined Shadow Corporation as an intern, I am delighted to have already been promoted to full staff and have taken on my own intern in Patrick Sweeney. I will be operating as lead counsel for the Shadow Corporation’s legal and licensing department. I have big plans for this division and hope to grow us into a major force within the burgeoning justice system that has been recently introduced to the city of Los Santos and San Andreas State.

 

Having received my law degree from Vespucci University with a minor in business and been a member of the Liberty City bar I eagerly await the opportunity to be licensed by the San Andreas bar once they open their doors for admission.

 Mr Shadow, Mike Warner and Patrick Sweeney meet at the Courthouse when it opened.

 

After discussion with Mr Shadow himself, I intend for my department to mostly operate on a defence basis. To achieve this will require a certain amount of autonomy within the corporation as it will need to be crystal clear that Mr Shadow’s law enforcement connections and this side of the business are kept separate and distinct. I feel very strongly about this and will be pushing hard to make sure that nothing unduly influences the operation of my division of the legal department within the wider corporation.

 

As well as trying criminal appeals cases in the appellate court, I plan for Shadow Legal to provide expert legal advice and attorneys for civil cases once the judicial branch introduce that court and process. My specialty is criminal law, but as an attorney we are trained in all aspects of the law and I am looking forward to passing on my knowledge to other attorneys who may join us in the future. I will be looking to grow the legal team ready to hit the ground running as soon as the licensing office opens up to private attorneys and firms.

 

For now, there is a lot of work to do in ensuring that the legal department of Shadow Corporation is fully prepared, and that starts with recruitment and training, which will be my focus in the coming weeks. The more prepared and trained that our team can be, the higher chance we can have a team of attorneys ready to aid the citizens of San Andreas State once the licensing office is operational.

 

I am very much looking forward to working with Patrick, and other new recruits, as we build the best law firm San Andreas will ever see: Shadow Corporation Law and Licensing.

Cowell - The lending continues

After a period of absence from the office, Cowell came back and looked over the outstanding loans. To his surprise, there were a few left. Cowell had anticipated there may be some clients that weren't going to pay their loan back. It was time to send the final warnings via SMS.

A few days go by and Cowell gets no reply. He decides to step the game up and go visit the collateral apartment located at Eclipse Towers. When he arrived to the apartment, he naturally had to change the locks in order to secure the property. He noticed that the apartment looked very clean and that all lockers and safes were completely empty. The borrower knew that this was coming and had moved his items and vehicles elsewhere. 

 

After inspecting the apartment, it was put up for sale, hoping that Cowell could settle the outstanding debt with the sale.

 

Now that Cowell had one thing less to worry about, he headed back to the office.  He had a Deputy contact him, inquiring about a loan. Knowing well that law-enforcement personnel tends to be more reliable when it comes to business, Cowell agreed and he met up with the deputy. They discussed the loan a little before they signed the contract.

Shadow - Consulting

Last week, Los Santos Customs contacted the Shadow Corporation to request our business consulting services. Xoza met with the leaders of the business and joined them in every aspect to get a feel for their business.

Over the week Xoza visited LSC regularly, talked to employees, talked to customers, asked the hard questions. He even worked in the lot and and on the road, assisting and fixing vehicles in every aspect he could.

By the end of the week and several meetings with his own personnel, he presented some new ideas, some complex, others fairly easy to impliment, but all take time and work. The task is not over yet however, it's time to bring plans to action.

Eclipse Lounge was Ezekial's pride and joy. He spent WEEKS building and finding the PERFECT LOCATION but sadly the greed of others sometimes strips us of the things most precious. Ezekial now being apart of Shadow Corp and knowing M. Warner being on the legal team they reached out to the government with the help of X. Shadow in hopes of getting the property back into Ezekial's name and bringing the nightlife back to Los Santos. Emails were drafted and approved and word was sent out. It didn't take long for a response. However, it was a response no one wanted nor expected.

The government responded with saying they had BIGGER PLANS for the properties so it was not possible for Ezekial to get them back. Everyone was furious and it was very clear they were, but, Ezekial held his cool and began thinking of other plans. Ezekial wanted another email sent asking for some type of compensation and if the government would be willing to give them a different property due to this which they kindly obliged to except now they slapped a 20mil price on the property which we got down to 15mil. Something Ezekial nor Shadow Corp wanted to pay nor had the money to pay. It was clear the government would not work with us and we were sure in due time we would find out why.

Ezekial found all this out after everyone else did and was furious. It seemed the government had their own plans to bring back nightlife to the city and they wanted to corner the market on the business venture. Ezekial told M. Warner that he was going to begin finding a property and do something no one had done before and make it his mission to be the best establishment for the city, shutting down the rest. Ezekial quickly began sending out emails to old friends like Ryan Gusto and Hazel Adams regarding their properties. Sadly Ryan had not be in the city for quite some time so who knows when he would respond. However, Ezekial, X. Shadow, M. Warner, and a new associate M. McKinley ran into Hazel outside Ryan's Club Truth. She informed them that the club she owned and ran was actually owned by Burnout Nation and they wouldn't be selling it.




At this point everyone split ways and began thinking of what to do, but, Ezekial wasn't giving up now. He made a promise to himself and now had to see it through. He drove to the pier with M. McKinley and contacted Weazel wanting to place ads. They came and it was time to see what could be made to happen. Ezekial put out an ad regarding buying BUILDABLE BUSINESS PROPERTY. It didn't take long for an old friend to contact him regarding their unused and partially built property. Darragh called him and said he had one available for 1.7mil. This price was far better than the government's 15mil pricetag. Ezekial called Shadow and they met with Darragh and looked at the property. It was small... really small, but, it would be a great starting point. Shadow bought it and told Ezekal it was his job to build it, manage it, run it... everything. Ezekial wasn't surprised and welcomed the challenge. For the next 2 hours he just sat in the room trying to think of what the fuck he would do with this small place. Shadow joined him at one point and told Ezekial to take a break, lets go find inspiration.



Shadow and Ezekial drove around for hours just stopping at anywhere they could find with an interior that was built by someone. They visited every single police station and Shadow let Ezekial walk through them all to see the different styles of building. One of these buildings had some inlays that made Ezekial's brain begin to wander. The city just added a pair of large Angel Wings or in other terms "The Wings of a Valkyrie". Ezekial looked at Shadow and told him he knew what the new spot would be called and the overall atmosphere. Shadow listened as Ezekial spoke and agreed it would be a great design, but, now to just make it fit. It was going to cost a lot of money and time, but, in the end worth it.

The concept of Valkyrie was simple. Upon entering the door you were being lifted into a very relaxed and chill environment. It was the perfect place to decompress after a long week and to meet with friends. Valkyrie would not only be based on that though. The wings hanging within Valkyrie could also be interpreted as the wings of angels. Which is why inlays were built to mimic the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. Valkyrie would function during the week as a bar/lounge for people to come after work and just have a drink or a bite to eat... however, the real fun began on Fridays and Saturdays when it would transform into a nightclub. The entire club would be module in the sense it could switch between the two easily. This is something no one has ever done before and Shadow Corp would be the first.

Ezekial flew to the store and began working quickly. 10 hours in and 150k later, it felt like there was so much to do still. The reason for that is because there was. They were already planning an event for it and yet it was still so barren. Things Ezekial built now with fresh rested eyes began to not fit... he was going to need to call in some friends and see where their minds went. As much as this was Ezekial and Shadow Corps baby, we were doing this for the citizens so why not get their opinions. One thing was for certain, when people walked in they would know they were at VALKYRIE.

Shadow - Global Expansion

The Shadow Corporation has been silently integrating itself into business for years. Small investments, holdings and loans. Taking up business projects, subsidiaries and more. With hundreds of these investments and acquisitions, they grew with the business.

After getting back in the city from a trip, Xoza met with some friends and partners. He explained that he'd just returned from a business trip. During the year end business review earlier this year, the Shadow Corporation decided to risk some extra funds to acquire another larger but struggling holdings company to see if they could turn it around. Later it was discovered that the company held some substantial contracts within subsidiaries across the globe that could be elevated to corporate level. In doing so, they had grown to potential and improved trade, reputation and influence of the corporation as a whole.

Shadow Corporation has gone global and will start to see benefits and returns. “Shadow Corp” will soon be a name known in business, trade, and technology.

With the exciting news, Xoza gathered his friends, associates, allies and business partners and informed them of the global expansion and that it's time to grow in the city further. With a newly leased helicopter, they explored the city in search of a new corporate headquarters.

Shadow - Corporate Headquarters

After the announcement, corporate employees and executives have been on the lookout for a new office building. In continued debate and exploration, they explore downtown in area they're familiar with.

Eventually they find a building of significance, really fitting the style and feel of the brand. With a courtyard nearby where meetings and meals can take place and potential of additional businesses around.

A few small outpost businesses and franchises underneath, but the rest of the building is up for lease!

Shadow - Business Talk

There's a lot to do in business, one of the largest tasks is making connections, contracts, working out details, even bringing new employees on board and unfortunately seeing others spread their wings and move beyond the company's folds. It's the people in business that make things happen, whether they're part of the company or not. Overall it's in hopes to expand business and create a network of free commerce and growth.

The corporation visited Weazel News to work out and talk about a contract with the company. The CEO who's been a good friend to Xoza and other associates met and talked about the contract and services that could be traded with one another. Would this bring a new relationship with the news agency of which he could pass to subsidiaries?

Xoza met an individual with a unique vehicle. Talked a bit about the car market, vehicle values and his interests in selling or trading the vehicle. While Xoza was not very interested in the vehicle itself, he was looking for answers to what the, more rare, vehicle market is like to possibly assist future clients in their own goals.

Xoza met with a few individuals interested in joining the company. They spent some time together, talking business, ideas, goals and working out the finer details of what the corporation does and how they can work together.

After ending in Paleto Bay, Xoza had to find a ride back and decided to take this opportunity to learn a little more about a new bus route in the county. It doesn't matter what kind of business or job it is, the Shadow Corporation is interested in connecting with it all. What challenges do they face? What benefits do they gain?

Shadow - Consulting Draft

Business is not easy, and managing people makes it far more complicated. Today Xoza spent a few hours at the shop writing out all the information he's gathered. From not only from his own experience, but from others, customers, mechanics and his own associates and their experiences.

Every business has room for improvement, and there's always more that can be accomplished and work to be done.
