gyrhnr Posted December 15, 2019 Report Posted December 15, 2019 When a car's engine stalls from a crash, make the engine break ,instead of it being usable after 60 seconds. This would make people drive with a lot more care and greatly improve traffic.
TreMetal Posted December 15, 2019 Report Posted December 15, 2019 Even simpler would to be add more speed cameras and wouldn't make it so cars are almost unusable. lol.
ArcAngel Posted December 16, 2019 Report Posted December 16, 2019 I appreciate that you're trying to make it more immersive but in some situations a small bump or desync can stall a vehicle. I do agree about more speed cameras though, especially on the main highway, not so much the back roads (I.e route 68) but the highways for sure
KCAJ Posted December 16, 2019 Report Posted December 16, 2019 -1 cos sometimes you get desync stalled from marijuana plants in the road or other things then you would have to wait for a admin to fix your car. 1 1
aXoL Posted December 16, 2019 Report Posted December 16, 2019 It just ruins the experience for players and it's so annoying. I would suggest that adding a tool box to fix your car when wheels pop or engine stalls would make it better. -1
Xoza Posted December 17, 2019 Report Posted December 17, 2019 -1 But I think the 'cooldown' should be more random and account for your attempt to start it as well as damage amount. Crash - Vehicle Dies If vehicle takes 100?+ damage Start Chance Timer Starts at 1-10% If vehicle takes <100? damage start chance timer starts at 10-25% For every 1 second - Start Chance Adds 2-4% Try to start - Start Chance Adds 1-2% At minimum, your vehicle could stall for 3 seconds, on average about 20 seconds, max 50 seconds.

Aldarine Posted December 17, 2019 Report Posted December 17, 2019 If the whole random items in the middle of the road destroying your car gets resolved then I would be very for this suggestion as I do feel that people have little to no consideration for their vehicle because the know if they spam the engine or wait a bit, it'll work again. If this was implemented then we could add to mechanic roleplay as well as have toolkits in the server. 1

RL impact sensors (which don't exist in GTA universe) would disable the fuel line and could not be reenabled until the vehicle is serviced. Older RL vehicles however without crash sensors, could stall after a significant amount of damage for various reasons and could be easy-hard to start which come into play here. After a lot of damage (0 of 1000) not startable, which already happens.

If you hit a pole, and your vehicle stalls, you should be able to restart it in under 60 seconds. - Current Operation If you hit a lot of poles and reduce your vehicle to 0 HP, you shouldn't be able to start it. - Current Operation Your suggestion is an opportunity to suggest a more complex / immersive way of how it works. If you believe the vehicle should be inoperable sooner, then let's recommend reducing vehicle health.
