Ricko
Title says it all. Allow us to use these two commands, along with current ones (only via f2 and phone). Its easier and it dates back from SA-MP. Edited June 9, 2019 by Ricko

Pazz
+1, we had them before the addition of this new phone as our old phone was fully text-based, but I still prefer the command over the UI and having a choice between the two never hurts.

Yputi
If this can be combined with the animation of actually grabbing your phone, sure! Currently, grabbing your phone also puts your weapon away (wich I like). In LSPD I also see people doing /b [number] in chat as they need a number of their MDC, but there is no way to have the MDC open while putting in the number and you can not paste numbers in the current system. Jonaseriksen07
+1 would be nice, I often fill that it takes an unessesary long time to take up your phone and send an SMS or do a quick call.

MusketDeezNuts
This was litterly removed like 3 months ago when they added the new phones. -
Ricko
@MusketDeezNuts Okay, but why, its nothing bad in having two ways where one is easier and works much better than sloppy phone.

Because opening up the phone UI makes your character store away weapons, change other animations, etc. With commands you could text while aiming a gun, which is unrealistic. Xoza
What about like below? /phone > *animation phone out and phone pops up* /call <number> > *animation phone to ear* (only operational when the /phone is out) /sms <number> > sends message (only operational when /phone is out) /note <text> > Creates new note. (only operational when /phone is out) /pwr or /power > turns phone on/off 2

(only operational when /phone is out) /pwr or /power > turns phone on/off Yes, this way it could even be a requirement to toggle /phone prior to being able to use any of the other text commands (except for turning the phone on/off), no longer relying on the UI phone.
