We can also have our own websites on the forums that people can apply to etc. Having the ability to vote on rejecting orders would be great. I see where you're going with this suggestion and it sounds like it could be a mixed approach done by both IC and OOC methods. While pushing for implemented game mechanic content via an OOC suggestion is justified, I think this needs an IC approach as well. Should enough truckers band together in character to create a Trucker's Union, it would push the demand further for implementations to be brought out via OOC game mechanics. If no one going to deliver for low price they will increase money for delivery request, if someone deliver for low price it's just their choice. That's how economic works in real life.

Yeah but at the moment it's a free for all and those of us who invest in buying trucks to support the economy lose out. Organising something more official would be cool and add more dynamics to the whole supply and demand side of it. We should be able to set prices for deliveries or something. I mean, in RL it doesn't work whereby the buyer sets the delivery price now does it.... It would be more realistic if we could have a bigger influence on setting delivery prices.

For now, it doesn't make sense buying as renting is way cheaper because they don't have to pay for fuel. Buying a truck should be more profitable then renting one. I know people will say new comers to town have to make money but this way it would force them to money transportation and or deliveries or something else. Not really, renting a truck is 1030$ per job and most jobs are for 1000$, so this is why, we, truckers want the union.

Start a thread, create some rules, start recruiting. Most factions on the server are created this way. And if they are created by the staff, they are then player managed. If this is important to you, go for it. 1

Ah, I didn't know it cost that much. I was told it was a few hundred per job.

If no orders come in for an hour, and the first one to come in is $1000, people will still fight over it because they need the money. I think a union is great so it gets my +1, however I think there are bigger issues with the trucker job than a union right now.
