Let's talk about the recent MK2 nerfs.

It's been almost 10 days since the following change was made to ALL MK2 guns:

[Weapons] Nerfed Mk II gun damage to be equal to that of their regular counterparts. Mk II guns are going to remain simply as more customizable versions.

Now, I was for the nerf of the Combat MG MK2, so was most of, if not every member of the server, crim and LEOs, I'm also for the 10% overall damage nerf to all guns. And I think for the most part the change has gone down nicely.

The call to action to nerf the Combat MG MK2, I believe, was the seed to the nerf of all MK2 guns. But instead of just the MG MK2, ALL MK2's got their damage changed to match their MK1 versions, with the additional option to lower recoil/add extra attatchments which would make up for the costly price of buying the MK2 verson of a gun without additional damage. Which is great for full auto guns being able to add additional attatchments to add less fall off damage (heavy barrel) and add an extra muzzle attatchments to further lower recoil (muzzle brakes)

Here's the only issue, the Pump MK2 has absolutely nothing that can make up for the extra cost of the gun with the use of the extra attatchments, what is a holo sight or a scope helping with? an extra girthy silencer? can already supress the MK1, muzzle brake? the pump has lowered to it's exact starting position where you fired it from before you can shoot it again. There is ZERO attachments for this gun that makes it any better than it's MK1 counter part. 

The gun can no longer be ordered for crims, it was a limited time thing and bought/sold at silly prices because of that reason (and it was just a good ass gun) Sheriffs have it as their main primary gun for alot of their ranks I believe, it's their bread and butter and it's just been gutted so much.

I loved the pump mk2, with all these automatic guns we have these days it's not even easy to get close to people during shootouts anymore and we see pumps rarely enough as is.

I'm not even asking for the damage to be completely put back to it's original values, but please dont just make it a more expensive/ extremely rare EXACT copy of the MK1.

Got to agree that the Shotgun MKII should stay untouched.

As it had a legitimate use case, It offered a trade off to players who used it. 

You risked getting in to a bad spot, closer to the enemy for the reward of doing a HUGE amount of damage to them. unlike AK's and stuff where you can sit at a distance and pick people off.

you could argue that you can do the same with the Normal shotgun, but the damage on the normal shotgun does not match the risk.

 

I'd say ether undo the change to the MKII shotgun. or make the damage of the MK1 match the MK2 instead of making the MK2 match the MK1

+1 A general nerf for the MK2 guns makes sense but leave the pistol (and maybe shotgun MK2 IDK i dont use it) alone

i never use it, but +1. what a poop gun that must be now, can't imagine there's a market for the lower tier gangs to make deals with that.

I agree with the OP, how people complained MG MK2 was OP,. but now all MK2s are useless, which was a big incentive thing for gangs in their tier up system, and now it basically means nothing, nerfing damage overall or changing gun availablility would've been better imo.

Yeah it literally makes the Pump Mk2 pointless/ useless. As Kon said putting all the attachments on it makes literally no change to the gun at all whereas the Rifles gain from them giving them more accuracy. Would be nice to have the damage at least somewhat better than the mk1 counterpart instead of just a more expensive pump mk1.

This applies to the Pistol MK2 - SMG MK2 - Heavy revolver MK2, it just makes them a more expensive version of the MK1 with no real benefit to them.

The MKII weapons were overpowered Rockstar creation for GTA Online that got added that probably shouldn't have been added. 

Did all of them have to be removed? No, but it's probably easier than manually balancing them.

then the tier system and rewards for gangs should be adjusted imo, it created a "fair value gap" in trader terms.

and basically screwed over people's progress, and inflated others'
