The racetrack has been fun, both for the events held there and for any usage outside of them. However, I believe it's not, or maybe it's barely being used anymore.
Since it is no longer used, it feels more of a hindrance, by blocking off many sections of the Terminal and making it annoying to navigate around the area.

Another alternative to keep track but also limit the hindrance of it could be to remove the barriers on the sides of the track, so we're able to cross it without having to find our way through the current maze

+10000000 shits like a fucking maze. Even if its still in use remove it after the events over. It would be nice to be able to drive around without a random race track (that clips through MANY parts of the terminal) in the way of everything

theres commands to spawn in and despawn groups of spawned objects the racetrack should be spawned in for like server events, looks goofy as fuck to have a racetrack in the middle of shipping docks genuinely looks like a gta online racing map

I love it when theres events, from what I know the mapping is semi easy to add/remove - i think maybe theres a way to map in an island or another place with a few tracks that can be made and imported in, I think that would be a really good addition to the racing community! But yeah having it be there with multiple criminal hot spots there, makes it a lot more difficult to manage.

+1, It was nice for the events, and if there are more events in the future I see no reason why it can't be brought back, but rply it makes no sense for it to be there anymore, and just blocks off access to several things in the area/makes it a pain to navigate.

I feel like it's not in use right now because of the snow? It is the only legal race/drift area in the city. I know it hinders rolling gun fights at container lab.. but there is no where else you can race legally.

i feel like if i go to race there with one of the main gang colour cars not because im a part of them but because i like the color, i will get shot if there is a shootout nearby and those barriers will protect me to escape if i am at the wrong place.

wot?

If people are DMing you...then file a report.

This suggestion has absolutely 0 bearing on that. Its your responsibility to report potential rulebreaks if people are firing on you simply because your vehicles a particular colour.

when is the last time you made a report and do you remember the feelings you went through? (rhetorical question)
if it includes frustration then that is what i am trying to not experience while roleplaying when racing around a track. i should not feel frustration from anything else other than losing to my friends in the race.
Filing report takes time and quite recently i have seen a lot of education on the topics for rather experienced players rather than punishments. This is the current climate and dont think that you not experiencing it means it is irrelevant to the discussion, i find it rather disrespectful. The Barriers were put there for a reason and devs know why

I am still -1 for this suggestion, keep people safe from DM!!

This is a laughable take.

If your lack of responsibility and your lack of ability to hold people accountable for their actions means when you get shit on in game you dont /report or take it to forums, but rather just let them get away with it because "oh, its too much effort" then you dont have any right to go to those same forums and write responses which are honestly more lengthy than your average rulebreak report, for someones suggestion which has nothing to do with rulebreaks, simply so you dont have to.

TLDR, we as a community have a responsibility to hold each other accountable as we play. the idea than someone would get shit on repeatedly and not do so, holds you in worse regard than the rulebreaker and just as culpable. be the change you want to see.

It's not that deep, jesus.

Is it still used?

  • If yes, is it still used regularly?
    -- If yes, keep it.
-- If no, then take out the barriers to be re-added as and when.
  • If no, take the thing out.
